Oct 25, 2022Some salty person very obviously made a ton of accounts to give negative ratings. Notice the written user reviews are varied, yet positive. No negative written reviews. Someone was really just that mad at the game and had the time on their hands.

Sep 24, 2022Another awsone jrpg to play on the go. Grate game with awsome tactical combat to explore, lovable charters to meet and an interesting world to immerse yourself in. Playing through Diofild I could not help feeling like this game was a modern Japenese version of the amazing Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 games, even though the differences are obvious, it felt siimlar in many ways.

Sep 27, 2022Overall a great experience. The game shines with its fast paced tactical combat. Feels very much like a mix of fire emblem gameplay with a game of thrones style story. The story does have some pacing issues, and can be a bit repetitive, but the good cast of characters and excellent gameplay make up for it.

Sep 27, 2022I am really loving DioField Chronicles so far. Has a real Fire Emblem feel to it. Square-Enix really did a fine job. I havent ran into anything i dont like and i am 21 hours into the story and its a good story in fact. Graphics look nice, runs smooth and the voice actors arent too bad either. I love RTS-RPG games and DioField does not disappoint. Go give it a try!

Oct 4, 2022A great strategy RPG. Love the art style. Love the story. The characters are awesome. Wish they went even deeper on the story and character building. Combat is great. I'm a huge fire emblem fan, and this sratched that itch well

Mar 23, 2023This game is really rather dull, don’t believe the hype - or the fake “user” reviews.

Jul 1, 2023A decent strategy game, feels like if they make it to be a mobile game. It's a fun game and if you like the genre can give you around 30h of fun. However the history is a bit mediocre and the battles are very similar. The gameplay is solid and have a good artistic design.
Conclusion: if you like the genre can be a good option to spend some hours

Edge MagazineNov 5, 2022It's the kind of scrappy contender you want to root for, but while its battle camera keeping you at a distance proves a smart move, the same can't be said for its story. [Issue#378, p.119]

Oct 31, 2022Playing The DioField Chronicle, I kept thinking of the popular meme: “Mom, can we have Fire Emblem? No, we have Fire Emblem at home”. The DioField Chronicle could have been a competition for the Fire Emblem series, but it’s not as complex as it pretends to be, fails to offer anything more than just solid basics and ultimately turns out to be bland.

Oct 31, 2022While The DioField Chronicle has some technical issues on Nintendo Switch, it is one of Square Enix's most interesting games in years, and one I recommend to anyone looking for a great strategy RPG. The diorama aesthetic is gorgeous and I love what the team did with the narrative and soundtrack here. Hopefully we get a sequel or story DLC in the future.
