    Not as white-knuckle as a twin-stick classic like Smash TV, but still plenty action packed. The levels are limited in size, so you can't just run away, and the difficulty curve is gently sloping. But if you're looking for a greater challenge, there is a kind of gauntlet mode, where creeps just spawn until you're dead.

    At first, you might assume the power ups are limited, but with each level beaten, you unlock new potential skills, and your experience level resets after completing each stage. You might find it a bit unfair if you're just trying to level up to a kind of god mode, but it gives the title a bit of extra flexibility.

    The graphics aren't really much to write home about, but the game never slows, there are virtually no load times, it's still pretty (decent lighting, too), and I think it captures the atmosphere it's reaching for. If you're a fan of Tesla OR Lovecraft, you might find this an enjoyable gaming experience.    … Expand

    Bit of a slog to begin with, but becomes a whole lot of fun once you're ridiculously OP. Probably helps if, like me, you're something of a noob re twin-sticks and you absolutely detest H.P. Lovecraft, the man, his works. Have been playing this for a year now, with ever increasing frequency, and that's a trend bound to continue for a good while yet. (Refuse to make any serious effort toBit of a slog to begin with, but becomes a whole lot of fun once you're ridiculously OP. Probably helps if, like me, you're something of a noob re twin-sticks and you absolutely detest H.P. Lovecraft, the man, his works. Have been playing this for a year now, with ever increasing frequency, and that's a trend bound to continue for a good while yet. (Refuse to make any serious effort to finish the thing on account of I won't be able to bear the disappointment if T.A. Edison doesn't show up as the end boss.)… Expand

    I bought this game when it was on sale for $5 because I thought the title was a fun idea. The first hour was rough. but within the second hour it got fun and within the third hour I was hooked. I bought the $5 DLC that night (its just more guns, powerups, etc). Its one of the best twin-stick shooters I've played and I've spent more than 100 hours on it. Well worth the price!

    It's a great twin-stick shooter with a fun vibe and playful presentation. Once you really start amassing those powerups, HOLY CRAP it's so much fun!!! I got 45 hours out of this game easily with the DLC which is completely worth getting!!!!

    The brief length of each level makes this game optimal to enjoy, for instance, in the bus, and especially with four friends.

    Tesla vs. Lovecraft is a great game, fun, challenging, with precise gameplay, and a survival mode with interesting online rankings for the most competitive players. Unfortunately not everything is perfect, the repetitive scenarios and the poor soundtrack, although minor problems, will make the game old a little too fast.

    Tesla Vs Lovecraft serves its function well enough as a simple action shooter. There isn’t much to the gameplay, but sometimes you can find a good time paddling through even shallow waters.
