    Ultimately these games come from an era that will always be overlooked before the likes of Nintendo and Sega came along and catapulted gaming along the path where it has got to today, and that is commendable. It is a backhanded compliment to the era that these games are so out of date.

    This is fine, I guess? Most of the games included have not aged well at all, with the exceptions being The Ninja Warriors, Qix, and to someThis is fine, I guess? Most of the games included have not aged well at all, with the exceptions being The Ninja Warriors, Qix, and to some extent, Halley's Comet. The rest are just not that much fun to play today. The collection also lacks any special features to speak of, with each game just being the Arcade Archives version -- basically the arcade ROM with a few variables, such as difficulty and display settings.

    It's hard to recommend this collection to anyone who is simply curious about Taito's early output. Unless you have real nostalgia for at least three or four of the included games, I'd skip this collection.    … Full Review »

Although the educational work could be better, with galleries of images, information and curiosity about each title, this is a collection that fulfills its role of preserving the history of the electronic games industry by providing access to these tiles on a current and wide-ranging platform - the Switch.… Full Review »
