A great port that has everything that made us love the original Syberia 2... Even its technical issues.

Syberia II comes to Nintendo Switch keeping the things that made it one of the best graphic adventures. A game that, even with its ups and downs, is still great nowadays.

The environments look great, despite their age, and the flow is helped by more streamlined puzzles, even if the fluctuating difficulty of the odd one or two borders on incomprehensible. Syberia 2's shift in narrative focus and end goal might not meet fan's exact expectations, but that is mainly due to the strength of the first outing. This is a relatively more straightforward but still interesting second part of a series that still has an enchanting setting, likeable characters and a surprisingly layered story. Despite its ongoing technical hiccups, along with the game having done the rounds for well over a decade, it's still a worthy sequel and a good addition to the genre on Switch.

Syberia 2 is an all-round success, improving upon the port of the original adventure in many ways. The core story may take a different slant to the previous one, and some puzzles may not live up to the high bar set in the first outing, but this is still a highly enjoyable journey throughout, with everything perfectly adapted for the Nintendo Switch setup, looking great in docked mode, but working even better when played in portable form using the touch screen. Kate Walker's third escapade cannot come to Switch soon enough!

Syberia 2 for Switch is a lot like the first part of the series. Sadly, it doesn't improve any of the flaws of part one. It's also not a fun game if you haven't played the first Syberia.

It’s not groundbreaking by any stretch of the imagination. Syberia 2 takes Syberia’s template and continues Kate Walker’s adventure. The puzzles swing from overly simplistic to ridiculously cryptic, with very little to give a sense of purpose. It’s also pricey, but if you’re invested in the story and absolutely must have it on the Switch then this is the right place.

The first game is better in respect to the story , puzzles and gameplay. Some puzzles are very confusing and vague, specially the last part. Making you hit invisible walls way to any times. Again stops being great when you have to resort to a guide. There’s a lot of backtracking and the main character moves slow. The issue with the camera is awful and annoying. The Oscar-robot character continues being a selfish ,self-centered coward jerk (Maybe that was the devs intention). I just can’t stand the fellow. Visuals are goood and the music is excellent. Overall not a bad game. Full Review »

Not as good as the first game but a nice continuation of this unique story and an enjoyable play.
