    This game is insanely hard!

The difficulty may put some people off, but for many this is one of the selling points of the game. Personally, I thought I'd be up to the challenge but now I think the game's defeated me. It's fun to get through a level you've been stuck on for ages, or go for a new best time on a level you've mastered - leaderboards help keep track of this. However,

It's fun to get through a level you've been stuck on for ages, or go for a new best time on a level you've mastered - leaderboards help keep track of this. However, although I had a good time with the first half of the game, the difficulty really ramps up and I felt like it became too difficult for me to enjoy. This isn't necessarily a fault of the game, but the crushing difficulty and the fact that I died thousands of times impeded my enjoyment and caused me to give up before finishing Super Meat Boy. I understand that there's a market for this kind of experience, but I suppose I'm not a part of it.

Give the game a go if you're into a challenge! However, bear in mind that this isn't exactly a relaxing gaming experience.

Took me a long time to pick up this tile and was amazed at how entertaining this game is.

For some reason i cant stop playing, even after dying multiple times at one level i just go back and back.

Great game and must play for platform fans.

Great game! But if you expect to get the same awesome Music by Danny Baranowsky like in the earlier versions of the Game, then be prepared to be disappointed. The change of the style of Music takes the soul of the Game. This only gives me half of the experience I got with the original Game.

I've played a lot of the game and got the Light and Dark World endings but I'm not quite sure I could say I ever actually enjoyed it. It's addicting. It's addicting. Completing levels and collecting bandages is satisfying, and the almost instant restarts make failure less punishing. However, the more difficult levels often require developing muscle memory to succeed, fast and precise inputs are necessary, and I definitely felt some pain in my hands when playing it for extended periods of time. Finishing seemingly-impossible levels after countless failures is incredibly satisfying, sometimes. Sometimes, it feels empty and nothing more than a skinner box.

I almost quit early on account of the kinda gross way Bandage Girl is gratuitously beaten up at the end of most every level (there seems to be a range of accompanying visuals for this). Like its clearly intending to be satiric or sardonic or whatever and taken as a joke to go along with the rest of the game's toilet humor. Most of the toilet humor is good enough, but this part of it falls flat and rises to the point of just sorta being out-of-place and unnecessarily cruel cartoon violence focused mostly but not exclusively on a woman. (Notably, equivalent animations do not seem to play when Meat Boy is kidnapped.) Its overall okay but I probably won't ever go back to play it again.

THEY REALLY **** UP 1/3 OF WHAT MADE THIS GAME SPECIAL
Seriously, the new soundtrack has its own bops, but it pales in comparison of the original OST
That being Said, Super Meat Boy was always an 8/10 Game, really solid but nothing that blew my mind; It never impressed me back in the day, and it does so even less nowadays in a world where Celeste exists It's not bad, but you can do way

It's not bad, but you can do way better on the switch for the $14.99 it sales for

    A great port of a classic game, and a perfect fit for Switch. [Issue #32 – March/April 2018, p. 21]

McMillen's universe masterfully fills our Nintendo Switch's screen and once again offers us another great game. With Super Meat Boy you will find a game full of quick platforms in which you'll have to use all your reflexes. A true test of your skill and above all your patience.

It’s now 8 years old, but Super Meat Boy is still one of the best platformers in recent memory. Perfectly simple controls, great level design, and grotesque but cute humor make a very memorable experience. When Super Meat Boy Forever lands on the Switch, you can bet we’ll be playing that too.
