Sep 4, 2020It's another OK addition to the Mario Party franchise. The lack of a complete online multiplayer experience is seriously not cool; that was literally the primary reason I purchased the game. I'm a bit bummed.

Jan 8, 2020Great party game, played it regularly in the beginning, later not so much. River mode is mostly played at our house. Would benefit from more content

Oct 28, 2021While this game is flawed, it's still very fun and enjoyable. After 5 games, they finally listened to us. The bad things about this game are that it only has 4 boards and you can only use joy-cons. Despite that, this is the first Mario Party game that I can actually call good since DS.

Jul 23, 2020A very enjoyable game, many different modes, all of which are fun, however, the abundances of modes resulted in less being put into the board modes, the boards are fun, but it would be nicer if there were more than just 4 of them, it would also be fun to be able to play all minigames online rather than just the 10 minigames from the mariothons.

Dec 9, 2019Really fun gamer to play with friends and family. I always have a blast with it. can't complain about that. But I wish it had more boards, characters and mini games to play. You get tired of same 4 Boards super fast. Mini games are fun and use the HD rumble and gyro control on the Joy cons very very well. One of the best party games for the switch no doubt !

Oct 5, 2018The game has agreed to abandon the garbage way of the cart, but some things are missing that has to be sorted by updates, 30 or more boards for all boards, the stars have to be 20. If they do that, it makes the game more fun...Free Dlcs

Jul 20, 2020while super Mario party looks like it's a return to form, it's really not. the boards are pretty bad, and there's only 4 of them. but hey, at least they got rid of that stupid car.

Mar 4, 2019A decent but disappointing Mario Party game. The boards are meh, and there's only 4 of them. The game's items are also boring and it is too easy to get stars. The minigames are great though, and it does a better job at living up to the N64 Mario Party's than 10.

Jul 22, 2019The Mario Party format will always make it a favorite for friends gathering together. However this was one of the few Nintendo Switch games that I felt did not live up to its predecessors. This game does not add anything of significance new to the series, and offers a disappointing 4 total maps. This iteration feels like its missing a significant DLC update.

Jun 26, 2021The boards are a little too basic for my liking, but there's still fun to be had here.

Aug 10, 2020Eles tinham que fazer um jogo sem noção do Mario, pelo menos a Nintendo tem que fazer um por ano né?!
Eu realmente prefiro "Mario Party" do N64 do que esse. -

Aug 23, 2020I'm glad to see Mario party return to it's routes but i'd but it on the same tier as Mario Party 8. i cannot believe Nintendo has not updated this game. also the online mode is a joke. 100% with friends was a lot of fun though

Mar 6, 2019Super Mario Party goes back to its roots and delivers just like it should. The vast number of different modes, really prevents any to shine the brightest, but the entire game is a small step back that greatly leaps forward. It makes us only more excited for the next entry. Something we haven't felt with the Mario Party series in ages...

CD-ActionFeb 13, 2019Both players and critics agreed that in the last couple of years Mario Party’s quality has been dropping. Nintendo decided to go for broke this time and I hope slapping “Super” in front of the title heralds the restart of the franchise, because SMP finally delivers what we expected. [12/2018, p.51]

Game World Navigator MagazineDec 21, 2018Complex and unpredictable board game, numerous mini-games and being able to play as your favorite character – those are the three pillars of Mario Party’s success. Neither of these elements was polished to perfection over the years, but together they offer a very enjoyable experience. [Issue#234, p.72]
