    A absolute must-but for the Switch. The addition of new themes and items are chosen perfectly. The story mode showcases almost everything the game can do. Overall, a Amazing Game. I could keep playing this game for hours on end.

    the most fantastic game every. a game that lets you be a game developer without all the fuss.
    if only it didn't have so many limitations on it, it would be absolutely amazing.
    This game has inspired me to work on my own creative aspirations and to utilize digital platforms.
    As a creative gamer, i played 200 hours of this game, and almost entirely just in creative mode.

    este es otro de esos juegos que te da una cantidad ingente de horas, el modo historia es un gran tutorial de lo que pueden hacer los distintos objetos y de los escenarios que puedes crear, si eres creativo sin duda este juego es para ti, si no tienes muchas ideas pero quieres gozar de las ideas de otros también te lo recomiendo, sobre todo probad el modo infinito ese haber hasta dondeeste es otro de esos juegos que te da una cantidad ingente de horas, el modo historia es un gran tutorial de lo que pueden hacer los distintos objetos y de los escenarios que puedes crear, si eres creativo sin duda este juego es para ti, si no tienes muchas ideas pero quieres gozar de las ideas de otros también te lo recomiendo, sobre todo probad el modo infinito ese haber hasta donde llegáis, el modo online no he tenido la oportunidad de probarlo pero viendo gameplays he podido deducir que aunque rara vez va lagueado se pasa muy bien… Expand

    Sin dudarlo, para mi el mejor juego que ha habido de Super Mario Bros en general. Los niveles hechos por la misma Nintendo pueden no ser tan perfectos como lo eran en Super Mario Bros 3 o Super Mario World. Pero te ayudan a comprender las mecanicas de los distintos juegos. Pero la perfección radica en los millones de niveles online que te dan horas y horas de disfrute.

    Nostalgia para los que jugabamos Super Mario Bros 3 para mi los juegos bidimensionales de Mario son mejores, podrán ser sencillos en el sentido de jugabilidad (correr y saltar) pero eso es suficiente para entretenerse. Los colores de los gráficos son vivos, los gráficos están bien obviamente son en estilo caricatura. Vamos a lo importante, se puede poner aprueba    El juego es PERFECTO.

Definitivamente si quieres un reto o un juego difícil , aquí lo puedes encontrar también, de hecho esa es una mis razones para subir la calificación.

    A game like Super Mario Maker 2 is what I think is the future of 2d Mario games. Think about it even if you don’t really like making your own levels there’s so many levels to play. There’s even a great story mode. The story was nothing special compared to other games but it was good considering how hard it would be to make a story based on tons of different levels.

    This game needs improvements, but despite its very, very significant flaws, it's top of the line when it comes to modern games. It's just genius so much of what they got right with this game. It's so much fun making a course and just sending it to someone on twitch to see how they handle it. It's been the most interactive single player game I've ever seen...that probably has ever existed.

    I love 2D Mario, and just when I thought Nintendo wouldn't do anything interesting with it anymore, they released the original Mario Maker and completely recaptured the magic! And this is a more than worthy sequel! I want to thank everyone who provided endless amount of fun Mario action through this amazing tool!

    Mario Maker 2 is the best game I have ever had on switch. I love the creating part. I played the first and loved it but it was a bit limited. Now I have almost all the tools in Mario history to make my own levels and my own worlds. I also can play other people's creative worlds (With Switch online but its pretty cheap so its fine).     The game is very fun, it has a story mode, although this is not very large, it is fun because of the levels it has to play. In addition, the online levels, made by people from different parts of the world, are very creative, so the game is entertaining.

    I really love this game! It is such an amazing experience to be able to create our own levels, probably the only issue that I have with this masterpiece is making levels with the tv. We really have a lot of customization options which is awesome.

    Siempre he sido fan de Mario Bros y este juego me parecio casi perfecto, solo por el unico detalle de que necesitas Online para casi todo, pero me gusto mucho la mecanica de este juego que es crear tus propios niveles

So while my brothers were rejoicing about getting theirs, I was miserable about being the only one who didn't get any. But Mom got my back and told me she DID get me my game. I was ECSTATIC.
    With all the selling-out done, though, I'd like to start praising    This game is awesome, no doubt.     With all the selling-out done, though, I'd like to start praising the game for its extremely catchy soundtrack, especially its title screen should you be playing in the SMW mode onwards. It's just SO nostalgic. Now only that, there's several customization options available, proving Nintendo loves their variety.
    My only problem was that there were loads of Story Mode missions that were **** to do. But it was fun, especially when I had Luigi to lend a hand. You'll understand when YOU play the game.
    Also, Course World is amazing, as you can see other people's creations. Multiplayer Versus, in particular, is pretty damn cool, even though I barely win.
    Anyways, to conclude, it was a good concept for us to make our own levels in the first game, but THIS game blew it out of the park with TONS of content. If you want to try this game out to see for yourself, go for it!    … Expand

    Such a creative and well made game! Building your own Mario levels is obviously an amazing concept that I'm surprised wasn't worked on properly until now. And as a plus, you get an adventure mode, and an inconsistent multiplayer mode that's still fun nonetheless.

    A dream come true
    This game is everything a sequel to Super Mario Maker should be and went above and beyond adding online 2d Mario for the first time ever, sure it had it’s flaws, but it improved a lot over time. All of the updates were solid, none felt like let-downs or included anything that should have been there at launch like check points in SMM. This game in my opinion the best game ever.

    After close to 70 hours on the game, it s a straight 9/10 from me. You only really need two reasons: it's a proper Mario game and it's basically endless. Some of the user levels I've come across are truly astounding (but not everyone is a game designer). This game allows for boundless creativity and re-playability, so a great investment.

As opções são diversas, além de termos um modo história que dá ao jogador a capacidade de pegar algumas idéias e o multiplayer online que poderia sim ser um pouco melhor. Fora isso Super Mario Maker é pura diversão e criatividade. Recomendo.

The overall building is more organized and easy to navigate. Nighttime brings new mechanics to all play styles which is just so fun. 3D World sadly is missing a lot of features including the sun/moon, tracks, and... YOSHI. It makes the game feel a little disjointed but that's more of a gripe than a real complaint. Added elements like slopes are super fun to work with and make the levels feel so real. Looking up levels that you want to play has never been easier. You can either use a code or even search with tags. The new infinite challenge is a little dissatisfying though and the only thing this game does worse than its predecessor. Online mode is very laggy most of the time and just isn't satisfying for most levels. Not being able to play with friends yet is a bummer but the feature really is just an add on that didn't get enough love to really be something I return to. Overall the game does mostly everything right with only some gripes. It surpasses the first game by a mile in almost every aspect.… Expand

    - I liked the 100 mario challenge more than the infinite challenge, but is not that bad
    - I miss the mystery mushroom and the custom marios :(

The level is quite literally your canvas and it is your job as the artist to express creativity and think upon new ideas, using the game's tools at your disposal, to create a fun, enjoyable and well constructed level. For people who have no experience in game design, the game teaches you what you need to know and how to create a good level through the story mode and through the maker lessons. The thing that I enjoy most about the story mode is how every level has been designed and created by Nintendo game designers, giving players to the opportunity to look into the works behind how Nintendo game designers make levels, whilst also learning about new mechanics that they never thought could work. The online mode is also a good feature to have, which allows players to be inspired to rise up to the top and make a world renowned level. The online mode is also good if you want to play people's levels on the fly, thanks to the fact that you could download levels. Overall, I can truly say is that this game is excellent. If you are looking for a game to express creativity, to get a grasp on game design or even just looking for a bit of fun, this is the game for you.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Super Mario Maker 2 became an important improvement from its first edition on the Wii U. It introduced many new things which made the experience entertaining enough, from new elements and a history mode to the ninji time trials, where you always try and retry just to improve your time and show your Mario-playing skills to the ranks. However, there were two things (and mainly one) which made me play the game every day for much time.

    The first one (and the main one in my opinion) is the online multiplayer feature, and more specifically, competitive multiplayer. Before the game was revealed, I was never expecting to find this on a Mario game, but one year and two months after the game release it is probably one of the best improvements the original game could have got. It is not perfect indeed, as many times you can have some bad luck and play s*** levels which I think their creator do not even know why did they publish them, but apart from that, there are many traditional short levels which can be interesting to play, or specific 4vs4 courses just for this mode. It also depends on luck many times (on the final result I mean), but when it does not, it is clearly the best feature of the game IMO.

    The second one is the world map creator, which was many times requested by the community, and it has obviously been a great addition, as you can collect game worlds to create your own Super Mario game. I did not play many worlds, but the ones I played were worth it. You can see many creative levels which you would not see normally on the most-featured published courses and which would clearly be popular if they were enoughly voted.

    Apart from those two new features, the community for Mario games is still impressive. You can proof this by playing the most popular worldwide levels. I am still impressed by how can someone make some things which for me would be impossible. But as I said, that is why the community is impressive, they can surprise you in any moment with any idea.

    In conclussion, this game is an absolute must-buy for the Nintendo Switch. I am giving it a 9/10 because I just find a problem on the game, and it is lag on online multiplayer games. Many many times, levels can be unplayable. If you want to play the game by its multiplayer, then I think this is not your game, but if you consider yourself a true Mario fan, then, go ahead.    … Expand

Instead of the 100-Mario Challenge, there is now an endless challenge mode, where you have to tackle randomly selected levels till you run out of extra lifes.The long awaited sequel to one of the most popular games on the Wii U has finally arrived on the Nintendo Switch. Lots of new features have been added, like an Online-Multiplayer, a Story Mode and tons of new elements to build with. Instead of the 100-Mario Challenge, there is now an endless challenge mode, where you have to tackle randomly selected levels till you run out of extra lifes. Let’s have a look at each of these modes.

    Story Mode:
    I was quite surprised, that there was an actual Story Mode in this game. Sure, it’s nothing mind-blowing, but it’s definitely more interesting than, the “Story Mode” of Super Mario Maker 1. You simply have to complete missions, in the form of playing levels to collect coins. These coins are used to build up Peach’s castle. You even have the option to choose, which parts you want to build first. While the selected part gets built, you have to complete more missions, so that the construction can progress. Some of these missions can only be accessed by talking to specific characters. By accomplishing these special missions, you even get some extra awards, like outfits.

    Playing the story mode is a good way to learn, how the different elements in Super Mario Maker 2 work. Each level shows you, how many possibilities there are with the editor of this game. There is a level for almost every feature, which is quite useful if you aren’t familiar with the game.

    Editor:
    It’s no surprise that building on the Nintendo Switch is not as convenient as on the Wii U. On the Wii U you were able to build with the Gamepad and could immediately play the level on the TV. However, on the Nintendo Switch you either have to use the control sticks of your controller to build levels on the TV or you can use the touchscreen of the Nintendo Switch in handheld mode with your fingers (unless you have a stylus). But other than that, the editor hasn’t changed that much. The sorting of the elements is a bit more clear, because categories have been added. You can now change from day to night, which changes some of the physics, depending on the theme. You can customize the auto scrolling (only in horizontal areas however), adjust the water-, poison- or lava level and build levels in the game style of Super Mario 3D World, which includes some exclusive elements, which cannot be used in other game styles.

    Online:
    When playing Endless Mode I noticed, that the levels I got, weren’t nearly as bad as the ones in Super Mario Maker 1. Since they added a Disliked button, it seems to be much easier to pick out good levels. However, now there is another problem. If you upload a new level and don’t have any other friends with this game, it’s very likely, that it won’t be played for a long time. The level needs at least one play to get in the pool of recommended levels, which can be quite demotivating for builders, which spent a lot of time building their levels. Even though Nintendo needs to fix this problem somehow, players can at least experience good levels for now. And like I said, if you have at least one play or like, it will get in the list of recommended levels, which means, that your level will be played more and more.

    The last thing I want to talk about is the Online-Multiplayer, which is not that great at the moment. To have an enjoyable experience, every player of a match, has to have a stable internet connection. Otherwise it will most likely lag really bad and in the worst case, be even unplayable. At the moment, you also cannot make private rooms to play with your friends, but have to play with random players. Sadly, you also have no option to choose, which type of levels you want to play.

    To sum up, Super Mario Maker 2 is a really enjoyable game with lots of different modes, even though the Online-Multiplayer needs to be improved. With the amount of things you can do in the editor, there is almost infinite content in this game. If you are a fan of 2D platformers you really have to check this game out.    … Expand

Many enemies and items that didn't even appear in their respective game appear here, like Bowser Jr. in Super Mario Bros World or Angry Sun in New Super Mario Bros U. there are just so many options! One of the biggest additions to level making is the on/off switch which enables you to make so many amazing things in the level editor. Another big addition is "extra themes" which require a full level reset to use but offer up many unique additions. The only one as of now is the Super Mario 3D World theme which is basically just a 2D version of that game. Nintendo is probably planning to add even more extra themes in the near future like Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Land 2, or even Super Mario Sunshine. Heck, they could even add brand new characters like Luigi, Toad, Princess Peach, or even Wario! Overall, this is a must buy for switch, i just wish they had amiibo support 9/10.… Expand

The only negatives to he found are currently you cannot play online with friends (coming in a future update) and that the online often suffers from considerable lag.

    Very fun game for people who like Mario, and they even added a story mode which helps introduce the player to the mechanics before getting into the real stuff. My only complaint is the bad course sorting. There's a lot of great levels out there but they're really hard to find... Why the hell can't u search using WORDS, like damn Nintendo it's 2019.

    Mario Maker 2 have everything that a player needs to make its own levels. Navigate thought the online courses and play what the other players did is absolutely satisfying, and be able to post your own level too. But the online menus are the problem, they lack tons of filter options, and because of that, really bad levels are more likely to appear.

    Nothing really negative to mention.
    Sure there are some badly designed levels by users but you can just skip those if you are annoyed.
    The Multiplayer is horrible to play because of recurring lag spikes. So that's why it's only 9/10

    I haven't tried making any courses yet but even the story mode is way better than New Super Mario Bros Deluxe.

    There are many superb levels made by users and it is useful that you can select difficulty. You do have to put up with a load of completely rubbish user levels too though.

    Well worth buying instead of new mario deluxe even of you dont plan to make your own courses

    This game adds so many new elements that makes almost every level creative and unique. It feels like the levels that you can make are seemingly endless. My only complaint is that the story mode is a bit dull, but that was expected. There are some users that make some pretty bad levels too, but that's not Nintendo's fault. Overall, amazing game, you NEED to purchase it!

    Multiplayer (Local):Very nice, only good for the ones that are supposed to be played multiplayer.

    Other:If you love mario and platformers this is the best game for you.     Really fun to make really hard levels then challenge your friends to play them and speedrun them. The level creation tools are perfect and editing with a controller is surprisingly good. The biggest problem with the game is there are a lot of garbage levels where some 5 year old got on to their big brother's switch and just spammed enemies with no effort. It is one of the best switch games.

    Nintendo will surely need to work on new artistic and mechanical styles to make its future 2D Mario games attractive, as Super Mario Maker 2 takes all the best from Super Mario Maker 1 and boosts the game with new options, a better interface, more customization, themes, night mode, interesting enemies and wraps the whole package with a fun new story mode and an online mode that even with its flaws, is competent.Super Mario Maker 2 offers the ultimate experience for Mario 2D fans and certainly yields much more fun than the 60$ what it is charged for.

    Another masterpiece by Nintendo. Super Mario Maker 2 is a delight for every creative soul out there - and yet also cares about players with no interest in designing their own levels. There are dozens of hours of pure fun for both of those groups.
