Sep 20, 2020One point for each game. This is such a lazy cash grab. There are 4k 60fps versions of Mario 64 in 16:9 and Nintendo gives us 720 30fps and 4:3 for an ANNIVERSARY edition game. People are starting to look at Nintendo differently and before it gets out of control they need to stop being so lazy.

Sep 23, 2020As much as I appreciate replaying these classic games, the compilation feels lazily put together. One of my main gripes is that Mario 64 is not widescreen. On a switch lite that means you are squinting at a tiny box in the middle of your screen. How can an unofficial port on PC be in 4K widescreen, whereas Nintendo themselves can't do it...laziness!
The £50 price tag is not at all justified -
Sep 21, 2020A very obvious and lazy cash grab. Nintendo fans are to blame, Nintendo only saw an oppurtunity for fast money and took it. Next time don't cry tears of joy when someone recycles 3 old games.
-
Sep 20, 2020The amount of work put into these ports is almost non-existent. At least they changed Sunshine to 16:9 but why not Mario 64? It looks ridiculous with it's huge black frame. And the camera controls of 64 are really weird because it's meant for the C-buttons on the N64 controller, not for an analogue stick. They could've at least changed that. The only good thing are the very short loading times.

Sep 20, 2020It has it's flaws, but it's a great collection of games, and anyone who has played the originals knows that there absolutely are improvements. These were never meant to be REMAKES.
I think there's a lot of rose colored glasses here. I would suggest some of the salty people here to break out a GameCube and play Mario Sunshine on a 4:3 CRT and see if you still think they didn't fix anything. -

Sep 20, 2020Common Nintendo,
Mario is your eternal star
You can make a much better job with Mario.
Start giving new camera controllers in M64.
And never use emulators again. -
Sep 21, 2020These 3 are easily some of my favourite games of all time, but the fact that with the exception of Galaxy the other games use some nasty emulators that don't even hand a candle to the originals in terms on controls on Sunshine and visuals on 64 (Why are those borders even here?) shows how lazy of a collection it is, what a shame.

Sep 22, 202060 bucks for three emulated, super old games. How does Nintendo get away with this?

-
Sep 19, 2020This simply does not do the games justice. This game is by no means worth the 60 dollar price tag and the limited release makes it even worse.
-
Sep 20, 2020Lazy cash grab with classic Nintendo anxiety marketing (even the digital version will be discontinued next year. )

Sep 20, 2020Unfortunately a very lazy collection, Mario deserved more.
The games are still great, but 64 is only 4:3, 64 and Sunshine are 30 frames, both have still the same camera issues of the original versions, no improvements whatsoever in that regard.
Motion controls are completely forced in Galaxy, even in the menus! -

Sep 19, 2020Don't get confused. These games are masterpieces. But as a remaster collection this package is an overpriced dissapointment. Very little improvements. And for some reason Super Mario Galaxy 2 is not included.
-
Sep 20, 2020Absolute trash. Updated resolution. And nothing else. Quick cash grab and i feel like a fool for falling for it. They couldn't even update the godforsaken camera system. Go download the roms and an emulator. Don't waste your money on this trash they literally did nothing to these games and playing then on the switch is worse than pc

Sep 20, 2020This games by themselves are masterpieces but the bundle is an insult and Nintendo is just milking money out of nostalgia with minimum effort.
-
Sep 20, 2020These games are great, but the collection leaves much to be desired, due to the almost complete lack of new content, fixes due to which games in emulation may work incorrectly, and the price is too high.
Come on Nintendo, you can do much better.

Nintendo Force MagazineApr 28, 2021Nintendo had the chance to knock this one out of the park, but they settled for a bunt. [Issue #49 – November/December 2020, p. 72]

Mar 5, 2021The classic games have been ported over to the Nintendo Switch with upscaled graphics. The old controls feel clunky compared to modern gaming standards, but if you already love these games, this makes for a great purchase.
