I understand not having an option to use the native Gamecube controls, but having no option to change back inverted controls from the original game (For all games), some odd emulations issues, as well as very odd changes overall to different aspects make this feel very 'why' I guess is the best word.

60$ price for emulated games.... Good job Nintendo, good job.....
Also the collection is limited and Mario 64 has black bars and not widescreen support.... This is unnaceptable.

OK, thanks for nothing Nintendo. Actually the Super Mario Galaxy is UNPLAYABLE with Switch controllers. It was even hard to "Select File" at the beginning of the game. This "package" should be sold for around 5 bucks instead of a full game price. Shame on you!

The games themselves are good. SM64 is extremely outdated, Sunshine's controls feel pretty awkward and Galaxy is a straight up masterpiece.

However, the compilation is very lacking and too expensive. Rare replay is an example of a good compilation.

Screw limited releases of first-party games. This is anti-consumer bs. On top of that, they barely put any effort into making the games improved for current generation.

Eu entendo que o clássico foi um jogo legal pra época. Mais è ridículo a Nintendo não ter feito nada pra melhorar os controles desse jogo ou aperfeiçoar os gráficos. Jogo lixo e controles super frustrante. Se puder alugue antes de comprar. Sinto que joguei meu dinheiro fora.

First of all Nintendo of Europe ran out of physical copies and sent me a download version instead and refused to swap it later when they came back in stock or refund. (even though I cancelled the preorder 7 days before release).

    The actual game.

Positives - Its Mario 64, Odyssey and Galaxy.

    Negatives - 30fps for 64 and Odyssey.

The collection was done very lazily. Not even ports, but emulations, packaged and sold for $60, when it's barely worth half that. NIntendo just wants money. Galaxy 2 was the last good 3D Mario game, afterwards, they all sucked and just wanted money. Speaking of, they chose to exclude Galaxy 2 to get more money for their value.

Shameless cash grab on a series of games that did not age well. Should have been free release for Nintendo online subscribers.

Three classic games in an absolutely shameful collection. This product doesn't come anywhere close to living up to Nintendo's usual standard. Sure, that's something that's been done before, and since. But the emulators themselves are buggy as well. There's a lot of popping of models. There's graphics glitches. There's a lack of widescreen support. What the world was expecting was to see the games remade with better graphics, like the original Super Mario All-Stars. What the world received was one of the laziest compilation jobs out there. At the very least, the collection did include some side content, mostly in a music player. But that doesn't redeem that the games themselves, already limited to three with several other titles that people were looking for absent, were presented this badly. Expand

These are all great games but lets be honest, zero effort was put into making this collection.

And why wasn't Mario Galaxy 2 included!!!!???

    Shame on you Nintendo.

I bought this game second hand on purpose so I didn't support this collection of half assed ports with a power point menu screen that has no concept art, old trailers, or anything to celebrate Mario's history whatsoever. The port jobs are terrible, especially with mario 64. Nintendo is a greedy selfish and terrible company and this collection makes that all the more clear. Especially with this being a limited release on purpose so people get scared and buy it before it becomes a scalpers wet dream. Absolutely pathetic. Expand

Fun because of nostalgia? Maybe. Other than that, not really. Personally, I feel like the controls are very wonky or just aged badly. Along with the clunky camera and the graphics are just okay. I have to say, I was quite disappointed with Super Mario 3D All-Stars. While it was great to have three classic Mario games in one package, the overall experience just didn't live up to my expectations. The classic games have been ported over to the Nintendo Switch with upscaled graphics. The old controls feel clunky compared to modern gaming standards, but if you already love these games, this makes for a great purchase.

Super Mario 3D All-Stars is three masterpiece games in a lacklustre package thanks to poor upgrades, contrived control choices and barely any extra content. [Issue #2, p. 72]
