Super Crush K.O. does one thing: combat. However, it does it well enough to keep your interest until the end. It's not the deepest combat system ever–in fact, the comparisons to Devil May Cry are greatly exaggerated, and the combat in Super Crush feels more like a simplified version of Guacamelee. While the combat system isn't deep, however, it's good fun. And it has to be, because SuperSuper Crush K.O. does one thing: combat. And it has to be, because Super Crush has nothing else to offer: there is no difficult environment to navigate, no secrets to find (as far as I could tell), and no plot twists. It's just moving from right to left, punching and kicking a reasonable variety of robotic baddies.

Super Crush K.O. is small in scope, but it has been carefully crafted. The graphics ooze charm and pastel-colored happiness, and the silly manga-flavoured teen story brought a smile to my face. The key idea behind the story is amusing in itself: every cat owner in the world thinks that her cat is the cutest in the universe–but the game's protagonist is actually right in that belief, and her cat gets kidnapped by an alien teenager for that exact reason. That light-hearted premise is essentially the whole story of the game, and it makes for some amusing dialogue and interludes.

Like most combo-based games, Super Crush K.O. invites you to revisit completed levels in search of a better ranking, or a higher position on the online leaderboards. I'd have appreciated some extra content, like a harder New Game+, or a few hidden levels–but even though this game is short in length and narrow in scope, I ended up loving every minute of it. I'm hoping for extra content in the future.

Super Crush K.O is an alright game. The combat is done very well, is alot of fun and there is a good amount of attacks to choose from. Not very deep, but i am more than fine with that.
But if there is one thing this game could absolutely have used, its some variety. Maybe some platform and/or puzzle challenges to break up the fighting. Its pretty repetitive and its mostly a game i play in

Super Crush KO features an explosion of an action experience, which goes very well with the game's garish colours. With its light-hearted plot and frantic combat, the game has a lot to offer for those looking for a fun and action-packed experience. It also runs out of assets rather quickly, and its level bosses are somewhat repetitive but Super Crush KO on the Nintendo Switch won't disappoint anyone looking for some good, frantic fun.

Super Crush KO is a 2D brawler that could be a little better with some additional variety. Still, you should have a hell of a time while its campaign lasts, all thanks to fast-paced combat that makes you feel powerful.
