    Best shooter on Switch if you ask me. Runs impeccably well, and unlike other ports, the game is incredibly sharp. Controlling the game with gyro is also awesome.

    I loved this game on PC and having such a great port of one of my favorite shooters on switch is simply awesome.

    This is a 2017 game running flawlessly on Nintendo's little handheld that could. As great a port as last years Alien: Isolation was. And further proof that when developers put their time in to optimization anything is possible. Sniper Elite 4 is a must play if you enjoy stealth games and/or m-rated war titles. It also has a variety of online co-op and versus modes to keep players busy longThis is a 2017 game running flawlessly on Nintendo's little handheld that could.     This game is fantastic, and is the best Sniper Elite game in the series. Tons of optional challenges once you complete the expansive levels. Highly recommended.

    This is my first experience in the world of Sniper Elite, and I have to say that I wish I’d jumped on board earlier. I played it exclusively in handheld mode, and it’s clear that Rebellion haven’t just phoned this port in; the performance is excellent, and the graphics are very impressive. As for the game itself, it’s a sandbox wonderland that is amazing fun to dive into. As for the game itself, it’s a sandbox wonderland that is amazing fun to dive into. Filled with 8 (very large) missions/levels that allow you to either tackle the objectives by being a true ghost sniper, a trap setter, or with a run and gun mindset, or a combination of all of the above. Whichever avenue you take, there’s always fun, exploration and experimentation to be had. If you’re a fan of shooters/stealth/tactical games, have a Switch, and haven’t played this yet, get on board. It’s a high quality game that is wickedly fun to play (and replay). It seriously exceeded my expectations by a fair margin. Game length will vary from player to player, but I got a bit over 50 hours out of my campaign playthrough. Having said that, I was fairly methodical, explored a lot, and had fun experimenting with different strategies to take down enemy mobs. As for negatives, it seems a bit rough that Rebellion didn’t release this game as an ultimate edition with all DLC, considering that the game is over 3 years old, instead choosing to charge a premium for it. The base game is strong enough to justify the price tag, but it still leaves a slightly bitter taste in the mouth. Also, I experienced a save game bug a couple of times where the game stopped autosaving during a mission, and also prevented me from manually saving. This was fixed by starting the mission again from scratch, but was pretty frustrating. Hopefully it gets patched out. All in all, an amazing game that I’m so glad that I took a punt on. Bring on SE5!

    Sniper Elite 4 is a good single player game for fans of military shooters, sniping and stealth–but it becomes fantastic when played cooperatively.

    PROS: - ONE OF THE BEST CO-OP GAMES, PERIOD: With a communicative buddy or two (or three), SE4 is engrossing. The campaign can be played start to finish in co-op, and the game even throws in a couple of asymmetric "sniper and spotter"    Sniper Elite 4 is a good single player game for fans of military shooters, sniping and stealth–but it becomes fantastic when played cooperatively.

    PROS:

    - ONE OF THE BEST CO-OP GAMES, PERIOD: With a communicative buddy or two (or three), SE4 is engrossing. The campaign can be played start to finish in co-op, and the game even throws in a couple of asymmetric "sniper and spotter" mission. The result is a riveting shared experience that creates endless moments worth remembering.
    - VERY SATISFYING SNIPING MECHANICS: It's a game about sniping, after all–so we all know what we came for. In that respect, Sniper Elite 4 doesn't disappoint: those long-distance perfect shots are immensely satisfying.
    - BEAUTIFULLY RENDERED LOCATIONS: The picturesque Italian locations are meticulously crafted, if a bit postcardy–and the graphics of the game does a great job delivering the beauty at (mostly) decent frames per second on the humble Switch.

    CONS:
    - TERRIBLE PROTAGONIST: The story of the game is mostly forgettable, and the beefy protagonist in particular is two-dimensional and hard to relate to.
    - THE "DEATH CAM" IS NOT FOR EVERYBODY: Yes, this is a sniping game, so you know what you're getting into–but even then, you might find those incredibly gory slow-mo sequences slightly disturbing in a "realistic" game such as this one.
    - NOT QUITE AS GOOD WHEN PLAYED ALONE: Sniper Elite 3 is still a good single-player FPS, but if it were not for co-op, it wouldn't be nearly as memorable.    … Expand

    Honestly, this is an amazing port. I’ve had no issues with lag, has run perfectly. Looks beautiful on the Switch. It’s a blast to play, pun intended. One of the best ports to Switch I’ve seen, unlike some terrible ones (I’m looking at you Mortal Kombat)

    Great game. Finished it multiple times and every run is different.
    In my opinion a game that is overlooked by many, while it is one of the best games we have on switch.

    I have to say i am really digging this game. Looks great on the Switch and plays smooth. Its a step up from V2 in everyway. The story is good. I like the mix of a different view of WW2 and not always being in europe like everyother game. Controls are nice too. Great port, pick it up.

    Sniper Elite 4 takes the foundation laid out by the franchise's prior entries and elevates it to new heights. Larger open levels and multi-mode items provide more freedom to tackle missions as you see fit, allowing for the sniping components of the game to really shine. However, unless you can play with friends, you might have a hard time finding a match for multiplayer. Despite this, Sniper Elite 4 is still a fantastic experience that fans of shooters won't want to miss.

    Overall Sniper Elite 4 for the Nintendo Switch is a very competent port, it is great seeing these bigger games ported to this console and I hope we see more of it in the future. Whilst the game is better in the docked mode, the handheld mode is still playable and is good for people who want that fix on the go.

    The third-person aiming is clunky and I found myself preferring to hide, rather than taking on soldiers face-to-face. Much of the campaign can be completed solely by sniping enemies from afar, but there are a few parts where close combat becomes a necessity. I was always pleased when these sections were over quickly. My only other complaint about Sniper Elite 4 is that it’s not a complete package. Three years after initial release, the Switch version arrives with numerous DLC options that require additional purchase – none of which appear to be new content. I’m not completely against DLC, but it feels like players are being nickel-and-dimed here. Fortunately, the core experience is enjoyable enough to look past these minor shortcomings, and more often than not, Sniper Elite 4 hits the bullseye.
