Nov 15, 2022I’ll take a “glass half full” approach to Smurfs Kart, though: if you had told me going into the game that I’d be left wanting more, I wouldn’t have believed you. As I wrote up top, it’s not about to challenge Mario Kart for the genre’s throne, but if you’re just after a kart racer that does a lot of things right, you’d be well-advised to look here.

Dec 5, 2022This game is so much fun for almost everybody. It looks great and is nice to play. You would enjoy this much as you love Mario Kart games. The levels are well designed, especially where you see Gargamal and the famous red cat. It's also nice that there are two ways to race: a normal version and a faster one. The latter is not even easy.

Mar 17, 2023Smurf Kart is a perfect family-style game that anyone can play. It’s amusing and easy, just what I expect from the Smurfs. The karts are all unique and have their own character that rides them, allowing the player a choice between 12 to decide upon. There is no wait to unlock a character, you get to enjoy all of them right away, which I love. Plus, even for an easy game, it could use some more classic Smurf sound effects from the characters and add a few new fun tracks or rewards to be achieved. Otherwise, it’s not a bad game, and maybe a bit easy for everyone to win a race for the first time.

Jan 19, 2023Smurfs Kart is a fun and good racing game that I recommend playing, but we will always find a better option on the market. It has the Mario Kart formula, although it needs more content.

Dec 23, 2022I'm very happy with how cute and accessible SMURFS KART is because it allows anyone to enjoy racing in adorable little karts as their favourite miniature blue chum. It may be a bit short on content but it's certainly not short on fun.

Nov 17, 2022Smurfs Kart is a well-made kart racer, but its best parts are all too often taken directly from the games it wants to emulate. Though visually striking, a lack of customization options and a small roster of circuits lead to a sometimes underwhelming, but ultimately fun Kart Racing game.

Nov 14, 2022On the track, Smurfs Kart pulls off a surprisingly solid imitation of Mario Kart, with satisfying handling and some wonderful visuals (albeit at 30fps). In the grand leaderboard of Switch karting games, it’s not quite going to trouble the podium places, but it’s certainly lingering just behind the front-runners and definitely delivers an entertaining time, even if it’s as short as its subject matter. A lack of courses is what keeps it from being one of the very best karting games on the Switch, but they certainly haven't Smurfed this one up.

Nov 14, 2022Smurfs Kart is pretty smurfy, at least in some parts. It nails the mechanics of Mario Kart quite well, the presentation is quite nice despite the low frame rate, and it has a good sense of speed. That said, the small number of tracks, vagueness on weapons, and basic modes mean that most Smurfs fans will knock out everything in an afternoon and struggle to return. It's not that bad of a kart racer for the Switch, but only die-hard fans of the recent cartoon will want to make this their main kart racer.

Dec 20, 2022If it cruelly lacks madness and content to stand out, Smurfs Kart remains a correct family entertainment, in the so cute universe of Peyo.
-
Dec 12, 2022There’s a solid base for a kart game here, but there’s just not enough content to be considered a contender on the Switch. As a result, it’s hard to compete against something like Mario Kart. And priced at $40, spend the extra $20 and get Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Switch instead.
-
Dec 11, 2022Smurfs Kart does too little to make you fall in love with it and, despite some details that Smurfs' fans will surely notice, it doesn't manage to offer enough to make you feel entertained for long.
-
Nov 15, 2022Rather pretty despite the weak technical characteristics of the Nintendo Switch, Smurf Kart allows some trickery even if we are still far from the finesse of a Mario Kart. Too bad the content of the game is so poor, which leads us to believe that it is a ruse by the developers to deploy DLC afterwards.
-
Nov 16, 2022Smurfs Kart has courses lacking in number and quality, characters all being the same, no interesting alternative modes, and no online multiplayer. Visually it is poorly done and quickly becomes boring to play. Ignore it, for the sake of your wallet.
-
Dec 15, 2022Smurfs Kart itself is not a bad game, it's just very shallow and almost all the competition handily beats it. The whole situation is made worse by the fact that the game has woefully little content and has completely omitted online multiplayer, leaving you to discover all of its content in one short evening.
