Sleep Tight has the structure and form to be an absolutely fantastic game. Its impressive visuals, delightful music, and endearing concept make it easy to recommend to all ages. A little bit of variety such as additional environments and maybe a co-op mode hold it back from greatness.

Sleep Tight’s art style and gameplay make it stand out above other twin-stick survival shooters.

Sleep Tight is a decently fun twin-stick shooter with roguelite elements. While the scenery and enemy variety are something to be desired, those who want a challenging time waster should try this.

The controls are smooth and the graphics look fantastic but it feels like it just needs more variety. In a game heavily inspired by children’s imaginations, the repetition is surprisingly dull.

In the end, Sleep Tight means well but is very limited in scope. The core mechanics are fine, and the different upgrade trees are good, but the slow difficulty ramping can make it feel like a grind in a short amount of time. The lack of any modes hurts significantly, as does the lack of variety in locations and your arsenal. Unless you want something simple in your tower defense or twin-stick shooting game, it's easy to pass on Sleep Tight in favor of other titles.

A neat little package. It knows what it wants to do and it does most of it well enough, but it might not excite people who don't share the same nostalgia for the specific childhood experience described within it.

While it certainly has its moments as an engaging shooter, Sleep Tight might be better being slept through.

Sleep Tight has some very interesting ideas, but unfortunately fails to captilise on them and falls into the depths of mediocrity.

Maybe if in the future they add new game modes or online gameplay, this can be a really fun game. My recommendation is, if you love tower defense games, this could be a good game for you, but I think is better to wait until the price drop to something more reasonable for the content that the game has.

Gameplay: There is only one mode, that has infinity waves or maybe not, there is only one map... so far, and every wave is harder than the other one. You collect suns and moons to buy upgrades or defense stuff. Your avatar can fight or stay inside your defense line, the fighting style is more or less like Gungeon... to give an example. There are 12 characters that you can play with but you need to unlock them reaching some wave levels or doing other stuff.

I think this game could be really fun if they create more maps or at least make the map a little bigger because you cannot build a lot of stuff in that small space. Another great thing would be adding more battle modes... like console multiplayer. With the content that the game provides right now, I think everyone is going to get bored after a few hours and would become a game to play a few minutes every other week.
