Skies of Fury DX is an immensely enjoyable flight sim that maintains a good level of sustainability with a generous supply of unlockables. Strong gameplay and gorgeous visuals make this a must-buy for all Switch owners.

Skies of Fury DX is a great addition to the aerial battle genre. Based on actual events, it allows players to play a part in a historical battle. There's enough challenges and excitement to make you want to gun down enemy pilots for hours, which I happily did.

Skies of Fury DX is a beautiful and fun flight simulator. With its historic story and stunning visuals style, this is a must play on the Switch. After seeing the word victory across the screen once you finish a mission, it’s hard not to play just one more

Skies of Fury DX is a very simple but very enjoyable arcade shooter. The campaign is long, but the missions are short enough that they can be enjoyed in bursts, while the progression system gives you enough reason to keep coming back. Controls and presentation are good, and despite the issues in some areas, the core is enough to provide an overall fun experience. Skies of Fury DX is a pleasant surprise that's well worth checking out.

Featuring a stunning visual environment, a long lifespan that will keep players coming back to it, accurate and fine tuned controls and a very well designed multiplayer mode, not to mention a wide amount of unlockable content, it's safe to say that Skies of Fury DX is a choice that will make many players happy.

Skies of Fury DX is a tidy little shooter that's a ton of fun, just remember to spread it out a little or it can get repetitive. The game has been brought over from mobile, updated and adapted to live on the Switch with fun multiplayer and co-op modes. There's a ton of fun to be had with Skies of Fury DX.

Despite that glaring lack of online multiplayer - and a slightly awkward off-screen targeting system - Skies Of Fury DX brings a new slice of fun, fast and furious dogfighting to Nintendo Switch. Whether you’re playing on your own through its 100 campaign missions or shooting your friend’s biplane to smithereens in local multiplayer, it’s one of the best new additions to Switch’s digital library and further proof - if any were needed - that Nintendo’s handheld is the best portable platform there is.

I enjoyed my time with Skies of Fury DX and will pick it up whenever I'm in the mood for some arcade-style dogfight action. In the end, I'm looking forward to seeing what the developers come up with next.

Simple, yet satisfying. Skies of Fury DX is a mobile title that belongs on the Nintendo Switch. A quick pick-up-and-play experience that has appealing audio-visuals, can be enjoyed in short bursts, and has flexible multiplayer options. The only downside is the lack of variety in the types of stages and missions that are on offer, particularly for the current, £14.59 price tag.

Skies of Fury DX will surprise a lot of players, given a seemingly paradoxical situation where the game is simultaneously a mobile port and a polished, satisfying experience. Still, if repetition is an issue for you, then Skies of Fury is one of the worst games your money can buy. The amazing gameplay is the key here: if you enjoy that, and do not mind playing a handful of very similar missions over and over, then Skies of Fury DX will treat you well.

Skies of Fury DX is a really solid aerial combat game. The games story mode is extremely lengthy, but unfortunately, it’s artificially filled with the same missions over and over. There’s no distinct difference between German and British campaigns, yet you’re forced to play through both to progress.

The gameplay loop is kind of awful but piloting an airplane and shooting others out of the sky is really satisfying, especially as they fall to the earth trailing black smoke before they explode into dozen pieces. What Skies of Fury DX lacks in stuff to do, it almost makes up for it in playability.

Very nice addition to the Switch as the platform was lacking sim/action type shooters. The game has a really attractive cel-shaded type artVery nice addition to the Switch as the platform was lacking sim/action type shooters. The game has a really attractive cel-shaded type art style. Game has different mission types including regular dogfighting, escort missions and obstacle course missions. Combat mechanics are well done, the clouds as a feature for hiding/chasing adds variety and a lot of depth to the combat experience. Nice bonus that loot boxes are not micro-transactions and feature various skins and upgrades. I love the formation flying, very cool feature.

No online, but features a local multiplayer of up to 4 players in a pvp or co-op mode. A lot of fun and adds some needed dimension to the game experience. Hopefully online is something to be added in the future, as this game is primed for online play.

Skill tree allows you to upgrade your pilot and take those upgrades with you as you progress through the aircraft. Would have loved to see boss type levels or some takeoff/landing challenges but overall, delivers on the dog-fighting experience very nicely.

Overall, a solid win for the Switch and at $20, good value for the price of admission.

Great game that reminds me of the red baron game from the atari lynx. Graphics are the hand drawn type and are gorgeous. Only thing missingGreat game that reminds me of the red baron game from the atari lynx. Graphics are the hand drawn type and are gorgeous. Only thing missing would be online play if nintendo ever figures that out. A couple things developer should add/ change: please give me a cockpit view! Also the way you have to go back and individually open the free loot boxes is lame. Full Review »

Arcade style WW1 biplane shooter. Plenty of add ons and skin mods from XP points and loot boxes. Great way to kill hours without noticing. TheArcade style WW1 biplane shooter.
