Apr 12, 2023Played the original years ago and it was a great game. This remake is ruined by a terrible off-centered camera and a bad Holmes design.
Avoid it, play the original. -
Apr 15, 2023Very interesting mix of Lovecraft lore and Sherlock Holmes. Great game, don’t miss.

Sep 6, 2023Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened is a remaster of a game originally released in 2007 and part of a long running series of mystery games about the renowned fictional detective. This chapter puts Sherlock in the midst of a supernatural affair, which is a departure from other works, but despite its interesting plot and captivating supernatural elements, the game's overall execution, technical issues, and too simplistic cases that offer little incentive to do anything else make this game difficult to recommend to any players other than hardcore fans of the Sherlock Holmes series.

May 26, 2023Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened is a fine adventure game that adds in a unique supernatural twist to Sherlock Holmes. The game is at its best when you focus on the supernatural storyline and is at its most boring when it wants you to do anything else. The overall Switch port is quite poor, with poor graphics, constant rendering issues, and poor framerate ruining the experience. Diehard Sherlock Holmes fans that own a Switch may find some fun here, but for everyone else, maybe look elsewhere for a fun adventure rather than pick up Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened.

Apr 11, 2023Sherlock Holmes: The Awakening continues to show why it’s heralded as one of the best mystery adventure games of all time, though its dodgy performance on Switch lets it down considerably. Still, I implore you to play the game on a different platform, where I’d happily score the game considerably higher.
