May 23, 2019It was one of my favourite games of the generation back when it first came out on PS3, and after sinking many, many hours into this version, I suspect it’ll wind up being one of my favourite games of whatever generation the Switch falls into, too.
-
May 14, 2019While this game certainly isn’t for all, what’s provided is done so well and in such abundance that I recommend this game to anyone with a Switch and consent to play this kind of game. Not many other games on the Switch can compare in terms of customization, replayability, and sheer scale of its open world.
-
May 9, 2019Almost 8 years later, Saints Row The Third has to be one of the most craziest open world adventures. Uber stupid humor, explosive missions, crazy situations, character customization beyond silliness... all very fun. The best part is that it all works like a charm on Switch, even in handheld mode, a feature that makes it very attractive.
-
May 10, 2019Saints Row The Third is the same riotous good time it’s always been, except now you can take it anywhere. Some performance issues hold the experience back, but with any luck the instability will get patched out.
-
Jul 1, 2019Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package is a real madness that comes to offer fun in abundance for Switch users. A very complete sandbox although with a technical section that can be improved. However, its great amount of hours of fun, its sense of humor and its good sound section make it a remarkable title.
-
May 10, 2019If you’re in the mood for some crude humor and silly, over-the-top action, Saints Row: The Third is still an undisputed king of ridiculousness.
-
May 10, 2019Saints Row: The Third was a sacred moment in time where lunatics reimagined the animus of an open-world crime game. It enabled players to thunderously lead a prestigious gang of miscreants and also turn themselves into a toilet. Eight years later Saints Row: The Third’s glut of Content is more difficult to digest, but its outrageous ambience is (mostly) still so sweet.
-
May 10, 2019It’s worth bearing in mind that the game is in no obvious way improved upon compared to the standard version, but is also no worse for wear. As I mentioned, however, there is the occasional slowdown in certain situations, but nothing that causes too much of a hassle, and could even possibly be patched out in the future. With all of that in mind, I absolutely recommend Saints Row The Third to anyone who is interested. Whether you have played it in the past, or if this will be your first time, it’s a solid experience that is a pleasure to have on the Switch.
-
May 10, 2019If you’ve never played Saints Row: The Third before and can’t imagine playing a game on anything other than the Switch, The Full Package is a must-buy despite its technical issues. To be fair, when docked, the Switch version probably falls in line with the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions anyway. It’s also a must-buy if you use your Switch pretty much exclusively as a handheld device.
-
May 9, 2019The masterful character work and slowly building absurdity prove that this game isn’t just a joke, even if it does have a giant purple dildo bat in it.
-
May 9, 2019If you love Saints Row and really need your on-the-go crime sim fix, you’ll be happy with Saints Row: The Third–The Full Package so long as you can swallow a few glitches.
-
May 15, 2019Saint’s Row The Third, on Switch, feels old. Obviously. It’s 8 years old, what did you expect? Still, this version est pretty solid and loaded with content. There’s no much GTA-like games on Switch, so hey, why not ?
-
May 14, 2019One of the most gorgeous and crazy sandbox adventures games ever created is now available for Switch owners. Not perfect a bit “buggy”, but nonetheless addictive and plenty of content.
-
May 10, 2019While I still consider the campaign one of the best of its kind in an open world action game, the visual translation of an eight year old game to Nintendo’s leaves a lot to be desired, seemingly pushing the hardware to its limit - and way too many times beyond that point.
-
Jun 4, 2019This is a port only really worth picking up if you missed it the first time, but even then the iffy controls (sprint is the left bumper and the menu wheel is on A, for some reason best known only to Hell’s most prolific torturers) and shocking performance issues will leave you wondering what all the fuss was about. 8 years after its original release t’s still irreverent fun, though certainly hampered by iffy shooting and iffier driving, but Saints Row has always been one of those series that kind of gets a free pass because it’s so endearingly nuts.
-
May 22, 2019Saints Row: The Third – The Full Package is well endowed with content and entertainment value; nonetheless, this release on Switch isn’t perfect. Inconsistent frame-rate, noticeable pop-in, and dated humor put a limit on the game’s appeal. If you have never played this ridiculous game, then you should give this Switch release a look despite its technical shortcomings.
-
May 9, 2019While no one expected it – and we dare say that no one asked for it – Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package revives an often forgotten open-world adventure on a new console generation, complete with a huge amount of cosmetic and expansion DLC. While it's showing its age mechanically (and in terms of taste), in visual terms it’s a robust sandbox filled with outlandish activities, hyperactive ideas and the kind of diverse mission design most open-world titles fail to fully realise. With support for both local and online co-op, this version of Saints Row’s best outing is a steal. We might not ever get a Grand Theft Auto on Switch, but this is probably the next best thing.
-
May 9, 2019My recommendation is decidedly mixed and conditional on how you like to play. If you plan on playing in handheld, you’re pretty safe. But if you want to play on the TV from the couch, you’d be better off breaking out your last-gen console to revisit the best Saints Row game. The Third is still a bonkers experience that revels in being FUN above all else. It's just too bad that it struggles so mightily on Nintendo's latest console, which has shown ample ability to handle a game like this in other cases.
-
May 10, 2019The Third holds up better that you might think, but this version definitely needed a little bit more of optimization and polishing. Technical issues and bugs get in the way too often, damaging the overall experience.
-
May 10, 2019Saints Row: The Third is still fun play and 8 years later it feels better if enjoyed in short session in handheld mode. The main problem of this release is the lacklustre porting, spoiled by framerate issues, some crashes and poor controls optimization. Anyway, if you feel nostalgic about the Saints irreverence, it's still worth a shot.
-
May 10, 2019Saints Row: The Third didn't age well: the Switch porting is something that only the series hardcore fans will enjoy.
-
May 10, 2019Full Package should be retitled “Flawed Package” because there are a few issues here that are noticeable enough to hamper the experience. It’s prone to substantial bugs to the point where it freezes, and there’s just a dated feel to it, both in the humor and the visuals. However, while there are noticeable issues, the core sandbox gameplay is strong, and if there is one thing I can say about Saints Row: The Third, it’s definitely not boring.
-
May 9, 2019It’s wacky, balls to the wall approach to open-world crime games is still in a league of its own, but you could just as easily grab the game on a platform where it runs significantly better than it does on this platform.
-
May 9, 2019Proves that open world games can be enjoyed in bite-sized bits on the go with Switch.
-
May 23, 2019Saints Row: The Third is now on Switch for better or worse. The game hasn't aged well, but is still fun to play. Just don't play it docked, because this is a open world game meant to be played on the go.
-
May 17, 2019Saints Row: The Third Full Package Edition is tough to recommend. The game shows its age and the gameplay doesn't hold up in a world that has seen the release of games such as Red Dead Redemption, GTA VI and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
-
May 10, 2019Saints Row The Third, like many games from the past generation, made its way to the Switch. And it appears unfortunately technically very old. Nevertheless, Saints Row remains fun and a good punching bag.
-
May 17, 2019Saints Row: The Third – The Full Package is no masterpiece. It never was. However, it is a fun action game that could've been a decent open-world game on the Switch. Instead, it is one of the most poorly optimized ports we've seen on the system thus far, making it hard to recommend. It is not unplayable and it is still somewhat fun, but the technical limitations get in the way almost all the time. For the $40 price point, The Third isn't worth the price of admission.
-
May 13, 2019A terrible port of a game that is very much showing its age, and has no business being repackaged at anything close to full price.

-
May 13, 2019It has a ton of content, bundling the base game with all its DLC, so there is plenty to do in Steelport, hopefully letting you see past the rest of a dated, unpolished open world game.

May 13, 2019I'm having a blast with this game. I don't understand the negative reviews. Maybe I'm just not seeing the issues. I'm very happy with my purchase!
