This game retails for $9.99 but I got it on sale for $1.99 and I still feel ripped off.

Robox is the most bare bones game I've ever paid money for. I've played flash games on Newgrounds for free that had more content than this. Robox is the most bare bones game I've ever paid money for. I've played flash games on Newgrounds for free that had more content than this. All you can do is choose from three difficulty levels (easy/medium/hard) and fight the same red robot in the same location over and over and over. I beat the red robot on all three difficulties in like 5 minutes, and then there was no reason for me to ever play it again since that's all there is to do in the whole game. If there was couch co op or online multiplayer then that could've kept me playing a little longer, but there's no multiplayer of any kind.

The gameplay is very weak too. You get a left punch, a right punch, an uppercut, and you can block. You can't slip punches or throw power punches or anything fun, and there's no stamina either. The enemy AI throws a lot of punches, and the only way I could win was by blocking until the AI let up for a second, throw a 1-2, and rinse and repeat until I knocked them out. Your move set is so limited that you can't be creative with how you fight.

The graphics suck. I was expecting them to suck based on the price, but this is different. The two robot boxers have very little detail on them at all, and the cars driving around in the background had way more detail. The robots look less like robots and more like play dough that's been shaped to look kinda like a robot.

Overall I can't believe they ever got away with charging $9.99 for this piece of garbage. I wouldn't buy this game for any amount of money. Nintendo seriously needs better quality control because this game deserves to retail for $0.25 max.
