    Risk System is for the hardcore, yet it's also original and well presented. That said, it just won't click for some due to the high level of difficulty.

    Risk System is a decent Switch shmup that offers short and sweet stages and unique boss encounters making it perfect for the console hybrid. Still, its boasted risk system could have been better implemented without the need for unfair deaths as you learn its nuances. Regardless, the challenge is addictive, albeit repetitive, and the lack of credits only forces you to jump right back in and try again.

    Risk System is a shmup that tries to be original but does that in a bad way. The shooting is automatic which eliminates 90 percent of the fun instantly. Besides this, you only need to evade enemies. The difficulty is very high, but the game never challenges you to try again. There are a few special attacks that make things better but still it is not really fun to play. Also, the game lacks a co-op mode which means you have to go through this all by yourself. Let's just say there are way better shmups.

    A decent game with some interesting mechanics that require you to risk taking damage to get powered up. Unfortunately, for my taste, it's simply too challenging. I have never been a fan of forced steep difficulties with games. I like it to be an option for players who want the greater challenge and for the rest of us to be able to enjoy the game at any pace or challenge we desire. For those who like incredibly difficult shmups, you'll probably enjoy this. For me, it was too frustrating and the game was deleted after a few hours.… Full Review »
