Reverie is a game that suits the Switch very well. As a simple dungeon crawler, it does the job well with a steady difficulty progression as the story goes on, but it's the puzzles that provide most of the challenge, with some solutions require quite a bit of thinking outside the box. This is a short and succinct game that's great for those looking for something quite light.

This is a game designed to make you smile the whole way through. It doesn’t need to challenge you, or to make you prove your expertise – it’s there to remind you of idyllic childhoods, exploring forests and caves and give you that sense of wonder that you once experienced through the old-school top-down adventure game genre. We rarely celebrate games because they are simply, unapologetically joyful, but Reverie is a great place to start, if you’re looking for joy.

Reverie gets a solid overall recommendation from me, and it’s up there with strong eShop action-adventure games like Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King. Like a wonderful dream, Reverie is over a little too soon, but it leaves you with some pleasant memories.

A story with no side quests along with a boring exploration. However, the puzzles are original and the game is addictive. Tai is a reincarnation that keeps Link's soul in Ness's body. This is more a problem than a blessing.

Most of the game is rather pleasant, but it’s a type of pleasantry that dissipates the moment I set down the controller.
