Reknum is a simple game let down by some messy design choices. The game has you going through each stage avoiding obstacles and fighting mindless enemies with your sword and bow. The game has you going through each stage avoiding obstacles and fighting mindless enemies with your sword and bow. Each stage has multiple treasure chests that shoot out gems used to automatically upgrade your abilities. It's pretty simple stuff. Unfortunately the game has a bizarre mechanic where touching some obstacles instantly restarts the stage. Why this mechanic is included when the game has a health meter is beyond me. The game also recycles some stages, asking you to play them backwards to get to the next new area. If the stage was barely interesting the first time why would I want to revisit it? On the positive side game controls well and has some solid music. It's cheap so if you are curious it's not a terrible purchase. Just don't expect anything exceptional from it. Expand
