Mar 19, 2019In essence, Radiation Island is a zombie-infested survival adventure game on a budget. It is yet another mobile game that has washed ashore on Nintendo Switch and one that fails to ever become a memorable experience on the portable home console. It has clear potential but ends up feeling incomplete, in needing more content to help keep the player both engaged and motivated.

Mar 30, 2018From a gameplay standpoint, despite some rough edges on its crafting systems, Radiation Island delivers a truly entertaining gameplay loop within the survival genre. However, even with its ambitiously huge environments, the game is overshadowed by its shallow technical aspects.

Mar 9, 2018This isn’t a game that compels me to play for hours on end. However, it provides ample entertainment, and is one I can easily come back to for some good-old-fashioned island adventuring (plus zombies).
-
Mar 5, 2018Its bare-bones design philosophy means it’s perhaps not the best title for survival genre diehards, but it’s a refreshing title to hit the Switch and one you might find yourself playing for way longer than planned.
-
Mar 5, 2018Radiation Island is a fun game to play, despite its mistakes (not a few). Even though, it seems that such fun is due to its influences from similar better games. One more example of smartphone games that do not work properly on Switch.
