    Perfectly serviceable 2D platformer. The intro story and art is simple and charming. The game itself is quick to get into and becomes notably less frustrating as you gain abilities and power ups. There are occasional issues with Dude getting stuck inside terrain and on the side of ledges. Often this could be fixed with a couple jumps. But I did have to reset the game on one occasion.

    Prehistoric Dude feels like it’s going through the motions. It’s too short, yet somehow manages to be repetitive, and the annoying combat and bugs will probably only encourage players to rush through the experience.

    Unfortunately, Prehistoric Dude’s problems aren’t minor. Lots of annoyances add up to make this a small game that I disliked. It has a real need for additional polish.
