    Dumbed down and gutted MOBA. Infuriating to play. There's also the issue of pay 2 win items. The only reason to even look at this game is because it contains Pokemon IP, which is slowly mattering less and less as the Pokemon brand continues to decline. If you want an enjoyable mobile MOBA look elsewhere. If you want another half-baked cash grab of a Pokemon themed game, look no further.

    This game is just awful. It handles clunky, which may be just the way all these capture the flag style multiplayer online games all handle, but I don't make excuses. It just feels sluggish and limited to control.     My most significant complaint, however, is that the game is a blatant cash-grab by developers. This is not a pokemon game, just a desperate pay-to-win ploy. You could skin the characters with anything: digimon, skylanders, freaking transformer robots, and it would be the exact same game. The fact they used the pokemon label and imagery with NONE of the content or mechanics from the games just makes it painfully obvious how little they care for the Pokemon name, or for the fans of the franchise. The only motive here is money.

    Pay to win. Costs over 130$ to upgrade 3 items on 1 pokemon. Alternatively, it would take you 450 days of doing dailies everyday to achieve same result. Pay to win garbage.

    Worst game ever if I ever play this again, this is like league of legend also the teammates are so bad for people who play it who like it good, but for people play it and lose everyday stop playing it. it not worth it and hope this game shut down for good worst game ever in 2021 so I'm giving a 1 for now, and good riddance a horrible game ever.

This game is completely not friendly to players who doesn't have experience with MOBA. Comparing to other MOBA game, like MLBB and LOL, this game is super fast paced, it only has 10 mins each game, if you lose in the beginning, you haveWORST MOBA and WORST Nintendo Switch game ever!     Un moba targato tencent=hacker a rovinarti l'esperienza di gioco ,e in più metteteci gente che hanno le mani ,ma le usano per fare cose che non posso dire ,e soprattutto incapaci di pensare mettete insieme tutto e otterrete un mix perfetto di tossicità poco inferiore a LOL.
    P:S mi ero pure dimenticato di dire che è pay to win.

Not to mention credit card pay2win held item kiddies are so obvious. To the point where it creates a complete cancer player base.     I have made it to masters league and over 400 games played already. I really enjoyed the game but the report button is broken. It is unacceptable to me to receive a ban for voice communications. I do not even have a mic… I have 100 fair play points and play team objectives.     Complete garbage I have played the last 25 games at great tier and have won 1 of them despite getting MVP every match but two but the game doesn't even punish those who leave mid match or reward the mvp for carrying even tho its not their fault the rest of the team is trash

    pay to win. early progression is fast and you unlock lots of freebies but it hooks you into thinking you can acquire enough in-game currency to level up without pulling out your wallet. The progression slows down tremendously and you are stuck either frustrated and quitting or spending money to level up your items. It must be because I enjoy AFKing immediately with no penalty or because I intentionally throw the whole match with my expert babydick MOBA techniques.     Ok time for evaluation. I played Pokemon unite for about month, getting to veteran level without any problems. I had high hopes for this production. However, these are not the pokemon i expected...

Its so sad, this idea could have been great but its terribly handled by Tencent games who are supposed to be veterans at creating such type of games called "MOBA" but instead they added unfair mechanics, pay to win, broken characters and no penalty for anyone who throws teamwork out the window.

    If you download this game and you play it you    Worst piece of trash game I've ever played. Its so sad, this idea could have been great but its terribly handled by Tencent games who are supposed to be veterans at creating such type of games called "MOBA" but instead they added unfair mechanics, pay to win, broken characters and no penalty for anyone who throws teamwork out the window.

    If you download this game and you play it you will lose, lose, lose and lose till you throw your controller in the ground in agony and frustration. This is due to their poor matchmaking system which will be pairing you up with the dumbest people on earth, also due to their game breaking mechanics such as Zapdos.

    Zapdos is a pokemon that appears near the end of the match and which ever team kills it, get this, they get 50 orbs each, instantaneous scoring, double the points when they score, and a damage and stun to the enemy team, thats too many, and I repeat, TOO MANY BENEFITS.

    In other Mobas you will find this sort of mechanic to give the losing team a chance to win, but its usually a temporary buff or such and if the team that successfully obtained said buff does not strategize properly the buff itself wont win them the game, but Pokemon Unite says "nah", and literally hands the team who defeated Zapdos the whole game in a silver platter. This mechanic alone makes the game meaningless, skill doesn't matter, strategy does not matter, the only thing that matters is Zapdos and that is the unfortunate truth.

    In conclusion, this game is garbage of the stinkiest kind, don't bother downloading it, and if you have pre-registered for their mobile app please un-register, trust me, your money, time and sanity are better spent elsewhere.    … Expand

    Make Zapdos less decisive
    Buff pokes to make the average better instead of nerfs
    Role limit (3 supports in 1 game?)
    adjust move targeting to make it work.
    Make ranked play feel like ranked play. (no bronze players vs veteran)
    Tweek battle prep menu. (laggy before you even play really?)
    and please, please please give this game to a company that does know how to make a game fun.

    Laggy. Lot of down time. Everything cost money. The game is pay to win to a level that's extreme. I've spend 50$. Normal price for a triple A game. And I still can't keep up with items.

    if you wanted to start hating on society then this game is your ticket to that train. 5 random standard match in a row with a team made up with 4 other stupid morons that didn't know what their roles are and how exp and lvl work and won't let you kill a single wild pokemon to evolve and get past lvl 4.

Before my win rate is high, but now my lost rate is much more higher than win rate. I only win in the ranked match with NPC.     Overall, Pokémon UNITE is a MOBA with a lot of potential. It’s already great as a casual game with friends, but I believe with some tweaking to Zapdos and removal of the “pay for held item upgrades” option, a strong competitive MOBA lives in Pokémon UNITE. Until then, it’s hard to call it much more than an above-average entry in the crowded MOBA space.

    Pokémon Unite is the first attempt at creating a MOBA with the pocket monsters – and I must admit it’s a successful one. The game is fast and intense, but also easy to get a grip on. I don’t expect it to take the esports scene by storm, but it’s very enjoyable and works great in a doctor’s waiting room or on the bus. As for me, I can’t force myself to stop playing Pokémon Unite and hope the developers will keep updating it. [10/2021, p.61]
