    Casual AF, looks good.
It's not trash, but it's worse than LoL, Dota 2, Smite, Dawngate, Paragon, HoN, Arena of Valor, Vainglory, Battlerite. Unite is at the same level as HotS for me.
Just for fans, no hxc players.

    Cons
Takes a long time to receive Pokemon
    Two abilities
    Stiff competition

In a moba style game, I like chaos. I like team fights. And Pokemon Unite took deliberate steps to be “just like” other mobas, leaving its niche of essentially what was a straight up team-fight for 8 minutes (out of 10 minute match) of wholesome fun. I wouldn’t be surprised if the next step was to lengthen games because it has deliberately slowed down farming and scoring. Now there always has to be one person in each lane so you can’t fully team-fight in most cases. The result? People sit in their goal zones and deadlock the lane—there’s nothing to farm, and you can’t leave your goal zone because if you do—you get hit and they heal, or worse, they score while you get a tiny bit of farm. Deadlocked lanes aren’t the player’s fault; this is what the game has pushed for—to add a lot more idle time in games.

This game feels a lot more like League of Legends, and I’m more likely to go play that than play Thea Sky Ruins because there are more characters, better skins (for the same price), and more abilities—which leads to a greater variety of gameplay. Pokemon Unite will never be able to compete against other Mobas if it copies them because less moves = less variability per Pokemon.

To be clear, I mastered the game and made it to high level masters. I know what I’m doing and how to win. I loved Remoat Stadium. It was clunky and frustrating, but also a lot of fun. There are things the game is working on—like the reporting system—but I’ll be taking a break until, if ever, Tencent decides to make changes to the game to make it feel fast paced again.

The money practices have changed significantly as well. Skins were always expensive, and I’ve actually bought a few to support the game back in Remoat Stadium. Players can earn about 3000 coins per week grinding the game. The last two Pokemon released cost 14k. Now, Pokemon are getting harder to purchase with in game currency and you can’t buy new Pokemon with in game currency for a week after they’re released. It’s crossed a line of ethics in my opinion. You want me playing your game because it makes it easier to matchmake, giving a better experience for everyone. When I like your game I will spend money on the Pokemon I like. Do NOT try to frustrate me into spending hundreds of dollars. That’s not promoting a game, that’s just disgusting.

The game itself would serve as a fantastic introduction to the MOBA genre, with matches more simplified and concise than other MOBAs on market, allowing the player to grasp the core concept of the game and the genre at large quite intuitively. The introduction of chooseable movesets and item builds in the pre-game lobby lends an interesting depth to the strategy of the game, and having it done at the start of the game removes a lot of the tedium of menu navigation during the games themselves.

However, as has been stated by numerous users before me, the predatory monetisation and addiction tactics clearly utilised by the company are morally deplorable, particularly given Pokemon's appeal with younger audiences and the accessibility of the game itself allowing for young audiences to participate in the game. The game is rife with monetarily complex and predatory micro-transactions, be it for new Pokemon to play, new cosmetics, or even the aforementioned items which provide a direct advantage for any players seeking to play the game more competitively. To heavily monetise a game without any regulations or age requirements is completely irresponsible, and quite frankly revolting. I've long since lost faith in the Pokemon company's commitment to publishing quality products rather than relying solely on the appeal of the branding, but to see them stoop to such blatant levels of money-grubbery disgusts me to a point I can't ignore, and I'm inclined not to support the game at all. I only hope the negative backlash might prompt the Pokemon company and Tencent to make more ethical adjustments to their monetisation scheme, as a truly welcoming and enjoyable game does still exist beneath it all.

On a not-so-good side, we have the fact that the game itself doesn't tell you which pokemon uses Sp. Attack and which one doesn't. Thankfully some websites got you covered, still is a big fail here.

Another not-so-bad thing is that matches sometimes feel so QUIET, the announcer needs to be more active in my opinion. Additionally, the menu has some slight lags.

The real problem comes with the microtransactions method. If those were like a regular MOBA in which you pay only for cosmetics or experience boosts or the battler pass It wouldn't have been too much of a deal, however, here you can pay2win which is really discouraging. MOBAS are games about skill and strategy not about how much is your credit card's limit.

    If there were not a pay2win mechanic I would've given this game a 7 or 8.

    4. This game is pretty fun to play(imho).

    Negatives:
    1. Weekly limit of 2400 coins is garbage. To buy all the pokemons you need to play this game for months or donate. I don't like it.
    2. Currently, Zapdos is way too powerful, it needs to be nerfed.
    3. This game don't have good way to talk with your teammates, this is pretty garbage (you can't even write message before game start to simply ask your teammates to let you get fast lvl 5 in jungle).
    4. It is possible to play with newbies even in decent rank.

If tencent will remove weekly coins limit, make some balance changes, add more pokemons and make money on skins - this game'll be awesome, but in current state it is only 4/10. (in my opinion)

The Pokemon to choose from are kind of limited and some are 1000% better than others, like Snorlax. When it's a new game and it's free there's some things you can excuse as they work on it and patch it, but really? Nobody who play tested the game saw the Zapdos problem? You could literally afk the first 8 minutes of the game, come back and steal Zapdos and then xd you win. It's ridiculous.

Honestly, every PROFESSIONAL MOBA player in the freaking world could have told you that balanced matchmaking is #1 for a making a MOBA game enjoyable. Hell it’s imperative to make any competitive game enjoyable, and last I checked, this is not Nintendo’s first competitive game. So why is it, you made the simple and brilliant decision, to pair solo queue players up against full squads of players who are partied up and communicating? That’s like having a game of dodgeball where one team has to wear blindfolds. STUPID. How did this even get approved? Was this even considered in the 2 weeks you took to plan how this game would work? This is one the BIGGEST barriers standing in between this game being 10/10 and the 3.7 user rating that it has. This and properly training players HOW A MOBA WORKS need to be PRIORITY #1 for the next update. You have YouTube, you have professional MOBA players, you have reviews. F the skins for 1 bloody month. What do I see after reaching Expert 4 (Gold 2 in LoL) rank?

-Item level gaps start to get very noticing when facing stronger enemies, which is ****

-In Expert (Gold) rank, yes RIGHT THERE you see how people play like literally Silver 4/below lol players who should be learning the basics of ranked matchs, even low Bronze (no map awareness, no clue about when to do/ignore objectives, when to def, score etc. If you have negative jungler gap, you are more likely to lose). It gets even worse when you see your partner in lane to go against the opponent with more lvl/moves. WTF, how don't people in Gold rank start playing serious? They LOVE to gift Zapdos in the Endgame even if you are winning to throw the game for fk sake and never watch opponents trying to score. (No complaining about the lack of skill, much audience will be new with this game BUT... HAVING THEM IN EXPERT RANK IS POINTLESS! LET THEM LEARN THE GAME! IF YOU PUT THEM WITH PPL WITH SOME MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE THEY WILL SUFFER AND WE WILL SUFFER BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO LEARN AT THEIR OWN PATH AND WE NEED MORE EXPERIENCED TEAM MATES!) --> THIS will take me to the next point.

-In that mentioned rank you can come across with... Beginners and Greats... (Bronze and Silver) and Elite or Above (Platinum+), does that mean... YOU HAVE TO FACE MUCH STRONGER OPPONENTS WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF HAVING MUCH WEAKER ALLIES? DO YOU EVEN REALIZE HOW COINFLIP IS THAT?

-Balance sucks. Assassin/Speedster class is as bad as in LoL, because they have too much damage or escapes. Their job is to kill a squishy target not to wipe the entire team (Zeraora/Absol...) furthermore, when you see Blastoise doing so much damage BEING A TANK and nullifying you skill giving you FULL COOLDOWNS you start to feel how something is NOT RIGHT. Balance team seems a bit drunk. Even the damned Charizard who is curiously placed in low tier, the generic basic edgy guy because yes pokemon. It gets annoying when uses ult and gets literally busted for like 10 secs. In any scenary it's plain ****

As a conclussion... it could be great but is not. As almost everything in this rotten genre where if you aren't Gold+ you don't worth a **** for people. I saw the difference because I've been between Silver and Gold ranks in LoL, how do people act and the community is a very important aspect of such games, this is not gonna be different so if you don't like clasist and egoplayers better stay away. Better play Pokémon D/P/PT BW1/2, Conquest, Colosseum or Explorers of Sky. These are the peak of the franchise in content and quality. Save your suffering, MOBA genre is not meant to be fun, even if you win.

This could have been a chance for a pokemon game with pure fun gameplay without any baggage, but I guess that was just too good to be true.

For a MOBA, it's very accessible. Controls are very easy and the moment-to-moment gameplay is simple to understand. Definitely made with children in mind. The unique mechanics are a bit odd and have some balancing issues. The game favors steamrolling, if a group of enemies win a teamfight and all score, they instantly get to full health and there isn't much your team can do about it.

The mechanics are well-explained but the meta and objectives are poorly directed. Nobody's really sure where to go and it's easy to forget that you don't make any progress defeating enemies without getting points and scoring, which can be unfairly difficult if you're pushed back by a steamrolling team. Especially so with the 10-minute timer, which makes the game more casual but makes comebacks very rare.

Outside the gameplay, there's classic Tencent scummy freemium practices. The game entices you with beginner quests that dry up and rewards will become scarce. I expect opinion of the game to go down sharply after the 14th day of its existence.

In a nutshell, standard free to play game. Avoid.

    - The animations and visuals are there.
    - The gameplay is fun.
    - But the whole game is plagued with Pay 2 Win microtransactions. To be fair, they are quite hidden, unless you start exploring how is the enemy pokemon 3 lvls lower still one shoting you.
    - Cap on in game currencies (so you can only get so much)

Overall, Pokémon UNITE is a MOBA with a lot of potential. It’s already great as a casual game with friends, but I believe with some tweaking to Zapdos and removal of the “pay for held item upgrades” option, a strong competitive MOBA lives in Pokémon UNITE. Until then, it’s hard to call it much more than an above-average entry in the crowded MOBA space.

Pokémon Unite is the first attempt at creating a MOBA with the pocket monsters – and I must admit it’s a successful one. The game is fast and intense, but also easy to get a grip on. I don’t expect it to take the esports scene by storm, but it’s very enjoyable and works great in a doctor’s waiting room or on the bus. As for me, I can’t force myself to stop playing Pokémon Unite and hope the developers will keep updating it. [10/2021, p.61]

Pokémon Unite's potential is undermined by its balancing, and might not have enough to offer either of its target audiences.
