Get FireRed, LeafGreen, HeartGold, SoulSilver, or even Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal instead. They are on better consoles, they are less than half the price, and they literally have more conent than Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. i think eerybody who played the game had mixed feelings at the start of the game , the type of feeling that you feel that the game isnt too good but you keep playing because it is pokemon , but tbh this is the third best pokemon game of the switch i 'll explain why.

    1. the capture mechanic , similar to pokemon go but the difference is that you actually "throw " the pokeball to capture instead of swiping with your finger , you may think that doesn't make huge difference but i can guarantee you it does , it is way more interactive and way funnier , the only down on the catch mechanic is in the handle mode of the switch , i think they should've use the touch of the screen to capture in handle mode.

    2. the supposed "lack of battles" i think every person who is into the world of pokemon games , already heard some fan saying that some specific game has a lot or a less in terms of trainer battles , and in this game i think it has the perfect ammount , since the new catching mechanic is the best way to get xp , the pokemon battles only serve for money and pokeballs .

    3. pokemons spawns , tbh the pokemon spawns in this game are really horrible , i have 40 hours of the game and i captured a lot of pokemons , specially pokemons that i saw that i didnt had in the dex because they give you more xp and i never saw and oddish , shelder , only saw two pikachus , and you may say that they spawn in specific routes as we all know but every EVERY grass has only ratatas and pidgey , you have to wait sometimes more than 10 minutes to spawn something different , not to mention the fact that some good pokemons only spawn in the end routes like poliwhirl , poliwhirl literally spawns in the games to the victory road , magma only spawns in the 7th gym location aswell weezing and koffing that makes impossible to make a team that you have in mind because they spawn way to late in the game which causes the pokemon to have like 10-20 levels below yours , "but you can use pokemon go to transfer" it ain't worth it , a pokemon with 2100 cp in pokemon go will give you level 25 in the game plus you only unlock the go park in fuschia city which by that time you already have your pokemons level 35+ .

    4. the pokemon moves , if you want to have pokemon moves you need or to spend all of your money in tms instead of pokeballs which causes less xp , or wait until the victory road that is when you can get all the tms , "but why tms " because of the fact that the pokemons DON'T learn moves , i only learned one move on ninetales by leveling up , only 1 on golem , NONE in kingler and only the first moves in eevee , you end up with the moves that the guy on the pokecenter gave you for eevee .

the game is funny after you understand how to use the catch mechanic , story gameplay etc nothing about it its a pokemon yellow remake but it is a MAXIMUM 7.

1 Removing wild battles really sucks, they somewhat make up for it by adding a lot more trainer battles but trainer battles get really annoying when you're just trying to pass through a route at least with wild battles you can run away.

2 Catching is pretty annoying and i hate that if a pokemon runs away it brakes your catch combo also reloading your game brakes them as well which

3 XP gain is super slow, in other games it's not a big deal having slow XP gain but that's because you have wild battles which this game doesn't have which really really sucks also when a pokemon gains more then one level the text goes through ever level rather then just skipping the the level it ended up at.

4 Over world pokemon are pretty annoying, with how tight some routes are they end up blocking your way a lot of the time they also lag the game in some places, this game also marked the beginning of the end for random grass encounters which really sucks as i much rather have random grass encounters over over world pokemon any day.

Una experiencia pokémon divertida y sencilla, el sistema de captura es muy divertido, pero parte de una base (pokémon rojo y azul) que no da para mucho más.

I see were a lot of people are coming from. graphics are not the best ( at least for me ) and they got rid of batteling wild pokemon as well as leveling system is kinda bad, but some things are still fun would not recommend for a first pokemon game. Pokemon: Let's Go, Eevee! is the last seventh generation Pokemon game and the first Pokemon game for the Nintendo Switch. It is a remake of the original Pokemon game, Pokemon Yellow. It was released in 2018. The original Pokemon Kanto games are almost sacrosanct to me. I do not want people to mess with it, change it or interfere with it any any way. It is a remake of the original Pokemon game, Pokemon Yellow. It was released in 2018. The original Pokemon Kanto games are almost sacrosanct to me. I do not want people to mess with it, change it or interfere with it any any way. The FireRed / LeafGreen remakes released almost twenty years ago for the Gameboy Advance were absolutely fantastic, I regard them as possibly the best Pokemon games in history. This time the developers got carried away a little bit. But lets start with the positives. The graphics. The new Nintendo Switch graphics look really amazing, for me probably the greatest technological step between two systems in the history of Pokemon games. The graphics of this game is also done very well, it sticks to the original shapes and colors that we all know and love. The Pokemon textures and animations are done to a lot of details and are really pretty. The music is also great, atmospheric and nostalgic. The story is kept mostly intact, with some changes (your rival, Team Rocket). But big changes come to the gameplay. The fact that the Pokemon are just running around in the Routes is actually not a bad idea, it brings a lot of life, it takes some RNG of the game. I would prefer the original system, but I can live with it. The system of catching Pokemon, which is a modified version of the Pokemon Go system is just plain wrong, I do not know what more can I say, It just does not work for me in this type of game at all. On top of that, Battling trainers no longer gives you that much Exp, so you will have to rely on catching Pokemon to level up. Other changes has been done to the way Pokemon are stored, there is no longer a PC for you to use in every Poke Center. Instead you can access your stored Pokemon at any point outside of a Pokemon battle. That is quite a big nerf, especially in the Pokemon League, where you can tailor your party for every member of the Elite Four. Also not a very good idea. And finally we have your Poke Partner, Eevee (or Pikachu in Let's Go: Pikachu!). I believe this has a lot of potential, there could be some mechanics that would make you take care of your Partner Pokemon and grow the bond between you. But in the end there is not much for your Eevee to do, except ride on your hat and waggle its tail when you are near a hidden item. Also you cannot evolve it, so for it to stay effective in combat, they just created 9 new ridiculously overpowered moves and you get them for free, just like that, quite early on in the game. That is just incompetence. Minor Microtransaction (Pokeball plus) and luckily No SJW. Thank you for that at least. I played on PC using the Yuzu emulator.

I was really looking forward to going through all these well known routes and towns after all these years, but it just somehow does not feel the same. Because it is not the same, I suspect. Next time, please make it the same as it used to be. Final Verdict: 72 %

This game is great but the lack of pro controller support and badly tracking of joycons, makes controlling the game and catching pokemons feeling very bad, if that huge problem were to be fixed one day, the game would have been a 10/10, since the controls destroy the experience, I give it a 7

Solo he jugado y completado por salirme gratis. De haber tenido que pagar jamás lo habría jugado.

This game scream mediocrity. Looking back you can real tell this was the last straw for the acceptance of stale Pokémon games, SWSH was just the tipping point. The new catching mechanic is different which is nice and the graphics are "good enough."

The game is a nice complement to the other games that have implemented some good qualities, as the game is a remake of a kanto game, it seems a bit dated and fussing that we can not get anything else and the love always goes to their first child, in my play it got bad and slow when you got further in the story and it ended with I stopped all day it did not give me anything to play it

Very casual games, but with pokemon, that's not a problem for me at all. The graphics are kinda nice, the music is outstanding and they absolutely nailed ride and following pokemon (and then forgot how to do it in SwSh and BDSP), wich shouldn't mean so much to me, but it does. It also really nicely remixes the original encounter tables and introduces overworld pokemon to the series!

Overall, I did have a blast playing Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee. I did like visiting all the cities of the original Pokémon games again and seeing all the original Pokémon. However, I really did not like how they changed how you capture Pokémon and I did not like the setup of the Pokémon boxes. For those who want to play this game for nostalgia reasons, I would recommend waiting until a sale comes out before purchasing. For newcomers to Pokémon, this is a really good introduction into the world of Kanto.

It’s hard to make sense of the game that’s basically a Switch port of iOS/Android remake of Pokemon Red/Green. Is it a step forward, step backward – or maybe just a shameless cash-in? Turns out, it’s a great remake – the world looks exactly as we imagined it back when we were staring at black and white pixels of original Red/Green. [Issue#235, p.44]
