    A faithful retelling of Yellow, with plenty of extra content. The lack of random encounters and battling wild pokémon is jarring for some, but for myself others it is a nice change. No endless Zubats in Mt. Moon, plenty of trainers to battle for experience (as well as getting experience for catching pokémon), and accurate sizes for all pokémon in and out of battle. As a long time fan ofA faithful retelling of Yellow, with plenty of extra content.     I'm going to say this right now. Do not listen to these people doing everything in their power to hurt the sales on this game. Most didn't even buy the game and are just riding hate trains that have been formed by youtubers/streamers since the game's reveal.

I kept watching trailers though, and eventually decided to give them a shot even if I didn't think they were going to do well. I was wrong. These games are amazing in every sense of the word. They're fun, beautiful looking, beautiful sounding with the remastered music, and a real throw back into the roots of what pokemon was meant to be.

    Yes, wild battles are gone. Yes, breeding is gone. Yes, it only has the first 151 aside from the newly revealed pokemon, but it doesn't stop them from being fun. It has it's core elements and a lot of cool things they added that weren't even part of the original games. I won't say what those are to avoid spoiling, but it's worth your money. Even if you're eh like I was, you might just find yourself surprised.

    I did buy the Pikachu version, but decided to post this here since they're basically the same game aside from which pokemon you start with.    … Expand

    I Love the game. Best version of Kanto ever. Red/Blue were my first games and this is a great game for original players who fell off and new players who have never played before. Maybe not if you spent 100+ hours in the every pokemon game ever,because this game is not as difficult as the last few. But it is way more fun!

    Been playing for a while and think this is a pretty good take on Pokemon. You have trainer battles everywhere so if you want to fight stuff there are that in spades. There are also tons of battles you need to do just to progress through the game.
    Beside that you catch Pokemons by throwing Pokemon balls at them and this actually mix up the gameplay in a good way.     Al principio no me animaba mucho el juego por opiniones de "expertos" y lo que me mostraban en los avances en los videos, ya que cambiaba muchas cosas en relación a las entregas anteriores, pero ahora que llevo muchas horas de juego, debo decir que me estoy divirtiendo como un enano xd, estéticamente es hermoso, la música está genial y el hecho de que la captura de los pokemon sea algoAl principio no me animaba mucho el juego por opiniones de "expertos" y lo que me mostraban en los avances en los videos, ya que cambiaba muchas cosas en relación a las entregas anteriores, pero ahora que llevo muchas horas de juego, debo decir que me estoy divirtiendo como un enano xd, estéticamente es hermoso, la música está genial y el hecho de que la captura de los pokemon sea algo similar a pokemon go no me resulta molesto, ademas de que eliminaron el spawn espontaneo de la hierba por los pasos y ahora los pokemon aparezcan físicamente en ella, me resulta atractivo y divertido. Si bien hay muchas cosas recortadas como por ejemplo las habilidades, es en pos para los nuevos usuarios no se mareen con tanta información. Debo decir que esta entrega es un buen inicio para los novatos, como tan bien uno lo fue con pokemon rojo y azul que tenían muchas menos cosas que let´s go.… Expand

    Excelente. Este juego es una maravilla, no por ser pokemon, mas bien por ser un gran titulo que da lo mejor de si y de los desarrolladores implementando nuevas mecánicas para que los usuarios vean toda una nueva forma de jugar y capturar pokemones. una maravilla sin duda, toma tu gran 10, sin duda bien ganado.

Everything else feels very similar to the original games, and I am enjoying every minute of reliving a part of my childhood.     A wonderful game, probably the most fun in a very long time, the end of random battles is a godsend and the visuals are really cute, this game is so enjoyable from begnning to end.

    I enjoy all the negative reviews, as people are just whining, 'cause they don't get what they want. Really, REALLY enjoyable. These games will sell like hot cakes and the only important score (the critics score) is > 8.

    Now, give me your salty tears! :D

While this sounds bad on paper, this make the overall process a bit faster, much more comfortable, and there is a new "chaining" mechanics that allow you to catch multiple time a pokemon, to get Higher IV and shiny chance, so you can always revisit old zone to build your team, instead of    Good Standard pokemon Game.

    Some features:

    The story and game progression itself is like the original Yellow, you get your snowflake pokemon with inflated stats and can pretend to be ash like in the Anime, feel free to remove it to give the game the "normal" difficulty.

    The pokemon now follows you! they can pick up items, some of them have unique interaction and overall make the pokemon world feel more alive.

    Online stille there, but limited to simple trade with randoms using a code(or a friend if you put the same one) and simple and double battle

    Competitively, it's only gen 1 with alola pokemon, and minor moves changes, not as deep as other main game pokemon, but you get the basics, No abilities or held items.

    The game is fun and relaxing overall, don't expect something grandiose, if you are nostalgic and like kanto go ahead, and if you have kid you can have a fun co op experience.    … Expand

    El juego no merece un 10 pero tampoco un 5, de lo que he jugado lo considero una buena versión, de alrededor un 7 de calificación para ser un pokemon. (le pongo 10 solo para subir un poco la calificación realizada por ardidos).

    It's a good game even if you have been playing Pokémon since gen 1. Also, we veterans are not the target of this games. All the negative scores comes from haters complaining about it being the Kanto from gen1 again for what I have read. Let's Go has some good innovations that could be implemented in future "main" games but they won't because of haters not being fair with this game.

    Not sure what the hate is all about, it's a fantastic game with beautiful graphics and a fun to play adventure. I really enjoyed this game and will probably buy this for my brother who is in middle school.

    Older Pokemons were way too complicated with the various systems like EV, Breeding, Random Elements, and natures. This takes away all of that and makes the game much more accessible.    Not sure what the hate is all about, it's a fantastic game with beautiful graphics and a fun to play adventure.     Lets go Eevee is an amazing game, Kanto is one of the best regions and revesiting the classic Pkmn Yellow game is incredible. The graphics are amazing, a new high for Pokemon. It has all my favourite Pokemons and characters like Pikachu and Professor Oak. The story is simple but effective, and they get rid of the random battles that annoyed everyone.

    This is an amazing pokemon remaster game which manages to make you revive the first pokemon that was ever released for Game Boy, which I played like 16 years ago. Reviving it in Full HD with this level of quality amazed me to a new level.

    I can't wait to get my hands on the 2019 RPG Pokemon game that is coming for switch!!!     I've been impressed by how enjoyable this game is : the soundtrack is amazing, the game has beautiful visuals, these annoying random battles aren't there anymore. It's beautiful, it's positive, it's relaxing!

    When I played the first few minutes and saw that it started the same as most other games, my heart sank. When I saw that it had the same "throw a pokeball" way to catch enemies as GO and there was nothing different, my heart sank further. I was worried this would be so watered down that it would just be terrible. But wow! I really like it. And the parts that are watered down, are the parts that made me want to stab my eyes out anyway, like the 100 hours of grinding and random battles. I hate random battles and this is so much better. I'm looking forward to getting the actual ball accessory for the game and I never thought I'd be saying that I wanted a goofy-looking addon like that. Try this game, you might like it!… Expand

    I got it 2 days ago and I'm ecstatic, it's so much fun and the most adorable Pokemon I ever played, I have so much fun with my boyfriend.

    It's visually nice, great music, adorable creatures. Love it!

    I thought Pokemon Let's Go would be a fun game but it's way more than that, it's really a game that is made for all of us to have fun, these annoying random battles are fianlly gone and these musics are golden it's so good. The visuals are so clean :o

    So happy to have bought this game, I didn't expect this to be so much fun but this vision of Pokemon is bringing so many good ideas that I hope to see in the next Pokemon game. I enoy it it so much, it's so cute and these musics are godly!

    Best Pokemon game of the decade, easily!

    This game is the embodiment of joy and positivity, it's a pleasure and the most fun Pokemon game in ages, I have so much fun with it, my daughter as well. 100% recommended to parents and pokefans!

    It's so wonderful to be back in Kanto again, it's so beautiful and charming now, what a joy to play, it's no longer tedious and archaic : Pokemon is now modern and good for everyone, and these musics OMG I want them for Xmas!
    I decided to buy 4 copies for my family, this game is so fun!

    I bought 2 copies for my son and my daughter, I'm playing with them and it's such a beautiful family moment, we have so much fun together, this game is gorgeous, the soundtrack incredible, the Poké Ball Plus is really cool. Never thought Pokémon could be so fantastic!

    Pokemon Let's Go means Pokemon is finally on Switch, finally in HD and wow that's a huge leap over the 3DS games, it's so beautiful, so expressive, so charming.

    I enjoy this a lot with my girlfriend, best couple time in terms of gaming, thanks Masuda!

    Kanto is more beautiful than ever, catching pokemon has never been THAT fun, it's so good!

    I bought 3 copies for my family, the game deserves all the sales it can get!

    I thought I would hate the new catching mechanic, but it's a nice change of pace between trainer battles. Great game if you are open minded and view it as a whole and not nit pick on things that "should" be in it (abilities for example).

    I like it. I love it. I’ve heard of some of the complaints the game gets which I understand. But I am thoroughly enjoying this game. The last game I played was Pokémon Sun. I will say that I loved the game, but I was starting to get bored and I didn’t even buy the next game in the series. I want this Let’s go Eevee to see how it will turn out, and I can say that it’s a great change ofI like it. I love it. I’ve heard of some of the complaints the game gets which I understand. But I am thoroughly enjoying this game. The last game I played was Pokémon Sun. I will say that I loved the game, but I was starting to get bored and I didn’t even buy the next game in the series.     Yo pensaba como muchas de las críticas aquí expuestas (las cuales evidentemente no han tocado el juego), sin embargo, decidí darle una oportunidad y descubrí que no podía haber estado más equivocado.
    El juego, es un remake del yellow, por lo que no van a haber muchas de las dinámicas de las últimas generaciones, pero que no se extrañan tanto.    El juego es muy divertido, punto.
    Yo pensaba como muchas de las críticas aquí expuestas (las cuales evidentemente no han tocado el juego), sin embargo, decidí darle una oportunidad y descubrí que no podía haber estado más equivocado.

    El juego, es un remake del yellow, por lo que no van a haber muchas de las dinámicas de las últimas generaciones, pero que no se extrañan tanto. Considerando lo tediosas y repetitivas que eran desde hacía tiempo. Sin embargo, se agregan nuevos ataques y aspectos del interfaz (ej: cambiar tus pokémon principales desde el menú), lo que logra balancear los aspectos nuevos con los clásicos, volviendo esta, una versión muy superior al pokemon yellow original.

    El juego también tiene un nivel de dificultad bajo, pero los pokemon jamas han sido famosos por ser difíciles. Mas, lo unico roto, son los starter Pikachu e Eevee. Pero no es nada que no se solucione quitandolos del equipo. Juega sin estos y veras como el Starmie de Misty te baja casi todo el equipo.

    Otro aspecto es la captura, en donde se quitó el coñazo de las batallas aleatorias y se cambió por un sistema de captura fluido, que ayuda en la inmersión y da dinamismo y velocidad al juego. Sin mencionar que motiva para realmente capturar a los 150 desgraciados (cosa que jamás intente en los clásicos).

    El juego más que casualizarse, se ha balanceado. Ahora podrás probar las combinaciones de pokemones que antes no eran viables. Podrás pelear con venamont, rapidash, jynx o cualquiera que te haya llamado la atención, pero no fuera tier 1. De hecho, el sistema de capturas al dar experiencia a todos los pokemon (sin dejarlos nunca OP), te permitirá probar cualquiera sin tener que romperte el lomo entrenandolos.

    El juego para los fans antiguos ofrece mucho contenido end game de gran dificultad y un sistema de crianza que no es un coñazo. Por lo que quienes se quejen de que es fácil, sin mencionar estos detalles, es indicador de que ni siquiera han tocado el juego.

    En resumen. El juego es divertido, a veces un poco fácil, pero increíblemente balanceado y amigable con usuarios de cualquier edad. No es perfecto en ningún sentido, pero está a años luz de ser horrible. No hagan caso a las críticas de gente que le tienen miedo a cualquier cambio. Pues este juego ni siquiera representa un gran cambio para la franquicia. Simplemente son unos pocos pasos en la dirección correcta, con algún pequeño tropezón.

It’s absolutely ridiculous that people can let a simple creative experience like this one exist without complaining about how it’s different. It’s supposed to be different.     For what it's supposed to be it's a 10/10 for me. It's a kanto remake with a long postgame! Evrery single interaction with eevee is the most wholesome thing on earth! The game is a little easy but not as easy as everyone is portraying it to be. I had some pokemon die a lot but not my whole team. the world looks absolutely beautiful, the music is amazing the pokemon scaling and them following you is what we wished for for years and now no one's even acknowledging it... why? I also love the removal of random encounters because in every pokemon game I found myself just running away from everything felling like my time is being wasted. I also surprisingly like the pokemon go catching mechanic!
    A negative point is maybe the way the npcs move in cutscenes: you find them moving in one direction, turning and moving on instead of just going diagonally. And the 2 player mode really isn't as cool as it was portrayed in the trailers. it makes the game wayyyy to easy because every battle is a two on one. they could have easily made it so that trainers who have more than one pokemon would send out two at a time.
    that's what makes it a 9/10 instead of a 10/10 for me because i was really hyped to play the game all the way with my pokemon loving friend that doesn't have a switch.

    All in all this is an amazing experience and I'm not even remotely done with the main story!

    Edit: so i played a lot more now and I gotta change it to a 10/10 because the game just got so much more difficult!! All my pokemon are underleveled even though i battled almost every trainer and caught a looot of mons! i had my whole team except one pokemon die twice and one of those times my Mew only had 10 hp left    … Expand

    Considering this to be a filler game for casual games and pokemon go players, it is unfair to compare it to the regular pokemon games. It is a fun and enjoyable game with fantastic graphics that bring back memories from the original pokemon yellow.

    Game's a blast, awesome remixes, got rid of major annoyances like random encounters and the need of a HMO slave Pokemon.
    Very fun and totally recommend to anyone old and new to the series.

    As someone who actually played it, and whinging fanboys aside, this game is actually really solid. It may not be the most content heavy title, but that doesn't make it less enjoyable to play. I've seen some people claim the framerate has issues but as someone who has actually played it, it is stable 99% of the time with the occasional dips for maybe a couple seconds here and there. I don'tAs someone who actually played it, and whinging fanboys aside, this game is actually really solid. It may not be the most content heavy title, but that doesn't make it less enjoyable to play. I don't think it's a big deal and I barely notice it. There's also no real "paywalls" either, since the only content locked behind a paywall is a children's peripheral that holds a Pokémon, that has no bearing on completing the Dex, and is outclassed in combat by various other 'mons.

    This game is amazing! The battle sequences are well executed, the game looks beautiful, and the Pokemon Go style of getting wild Pokemon makes the game unique and different from its predecessors. The people who are rating this game 0's should be taken with a grain of salt, since most of the bad ratings don't even have a good reason as to why they are rated that way(or a reason, period).

    This game is fantastic! I am really loving the game, the graphics, the same feel of all the Pokemon games such as Pokemon XY, Alpha Sapphire but much more! I never got to play Pokemon Yellow, but after speaking with several of my friends they see the similaraties and definite improvements. This game makes playing and catching in the Kanto region very exciting! I give this game a 10!

He said that the same people who used to bully others for liking it, are now fans. He didnt like that pokemon was becoming accessible to everyone. The bad reviews arent because of a bad game, it's because old school pokemon players feel threatened by this wave of popularity and newcomers into a franchise that they feel was only made for them, not everyone else.

    As a pokemon fan who played the originals, fell off, and is now returing, I welcome these changes and the wave of popularity. Pokemon is meant to be enjoyed by everyone, not enjoyed by a few "elite" players.    … Expand

    This is the in-between spinoff filler game that we get while we wait for gen 8. This is an entry-level game designed specifically for parents/kids/genwunners that started or got back into the franchise with Go.

    It literally isn't designed for longtime fans, but it has the nostalgia kick that will still bring them in. Not only that, but the features it lacks from the original, it more than makes up for with all the new features it adds.
    And there are a lot, with most being what people have been requesting for a while! (following pokemon, overworld flying, buddy pokemon, overworld encounters, it goes on).
    Not to mention, the features it lacks from the original make sense for what it is (a which is, a Go combo game). Personally, I love when Pokemon steps away from its usual, redundant formula. This game is like a vacation to me.
    The fact that I can skirt around an encounter is fantastic, and this is the best game I've played for shiny hunting so far hands down. I love having Pokemon following me again and hell I even like the Pokeball controller. To me, its reminiscent of the HG/SS days.
    Its an easy game, because again, its entry level and wasn't meant for you. Its obviously designed to be super casual, NON-COMPETITIVE, and with young kids in mind. I would still even love to see some of the features return for a main series. It just blows my mind how veterans are having such bad reactions, because honestly, what did you expect?

    Is it a cash grab? Absolutely! Thats Pokemon's entire marketing scheme. Does it work? Absolutely! The sales on the games are doing extremely well. Why is that necessarily a bad thing?

    The point: Don't write off the Let's Go games just because people are being negative nancys. Its fun. Let people enjoy things.    … Expand

I remember my parents taking me to the Grand Canyon, and remember not caring for a hole in the ground -I too would give this game a 8 or 9. I didn't think i would be a fan of the new encounter system but i like not getting caught up with a zubat every few steps. I also enjoy the new way of catching the Pokemon - but wish they had kept the battle pre-catch going. It's weird having to grind by catching instead of battling. The game does seem easier - but i tried countering this by never feeding my Pokemon candy. I am 32 now so this was chocked with sentimental value.     El mejor consejo, si puedes encuentra alguien que lo tenga y juega un poco. No hay mejor crítica que la que puedes hacer tu mismo. Mi opinión: yo lo recomiendo (y llevo con pokemon desde sus inicios).

    No es perfecto, y tiene su carencias (hubiera dejado los objetos y las habilidades, al igual que la cría pokemon). ¿Porqué le dejo un 10? Porque ya que la "comunidad" deja su voto de castigo por aquí en contra del juego, yo dejo esta nota cómo castigo a dicha "comunidad".

    I have played every generation of these games and I was skeptical about Let's Go at first, but I have loved it! I have spent hours shiny hunting and completing my pokedex. If people discount this game just because it's a temporary departure from the time tested formula of the mainline games, they are cheating themselves of a great, novel experience. I prefer the classical method of capturing pokemon but i understand that this is entry level game for people who never played pokemon before (btw you get used to it and that is a ton of trainers to battle) and i know that a classic pokemon (the next on the core series) is coming next year for the veterans, plus if you take out the capturing method this is a great experience to revive Pokemon yellow, red ,green and blue, i feel 12 again.… Expand

    Es un gran juego, increiblemente entretenido y divertido, las nuevas mecánicas que les han añadido son una maravilla, es fabuloso poder decidir si quieres o no enfrentarte a los Pokémon salvajes y la captura se hace rápida y amena.     Beautiful, marvellous and nostalgic. I´m very happy and proudly with Game Freak and The Pokemon Company. All days I go out my home and catch pokemon on GO and then ,in my home,transfer my new pokemon to switch. Its so perfect.And the new level up mechanic catching is more logic (not to kill every wild pokemon).I love shiny hunting and the chain to find good ivs.

La jugabilidad, es maravillosa, el tema de las monturas, excelente, lo único le le noté un meh, fue lo de no pelear con pokémon salvajes, pero, de algún modo, lo supieron camuflar muy bien en el juego, y que se transformara en una experiencia complementaria del juego, así que no afecta en nada...

    The game is amazing and wonderful. I bought both versions. To see the whole ecosystem in votla of the jgoador, to experience the incredible graphs, to fly with my pokémons by the map, to experience kanto on this new graph. I researched and saw that it would be a parallel line of games and I loved that idea. It will have the traditional line and this parallel. I was thrilled when my world expanded at the end of the Elite Four. Seriously, I was happy when I saw myself flying high in the sky, crossing the map at will on the back of my Charizard. Seeing everything from above was indescribable and the challenge of the Masters, very challenging. I thought to pass them and luckily, I bought pokéball plus. I was able to challenge Mew's master. I finished Let's Go Eevee, I bought Let's Go Pikachu. I'm in Elite Four and I barely see the time of my world being expanded. I super indicate this game and I ask to ignore the haters. Give the game a chance, just like I did and I'm glad I gave it a chance, otherwise I would have missed a fun and exciting game. I never had fun in a game of pokémon, as it was in these games. Let's Go Pikachu was a fun experience and decides to buy the Eevee version, as I found the Eevee cute and got the female with the heart-shaped spot on the tail. Me and my boyfriend happened to switch pokémons, because of the exclusive versions. All I have to say is: Those who are undecided or who condemned the game, give it a chance. But a real chance. The game is fun and exciting. Besides the graphics are beautiful and the music is wonderful. There were minor changes in the events, which made it even better.     I enjoyed it. Is it worth 60 bucks? Probably not, but most games aren't. Does the game have an enormous amount of depth? Meh, not really. But, it's fun and it lasts longer than a few hours. Isn't that really matters?

    Whether it's your Pokémon entry point or you're returning to Kanto yet again, Pokémon Let's Go is for everyone. The lame motion controls aside, this is adventure perfection, not once feeling jaded after dozens of hours' play

The only thing I would like to see improved is post-game content. there's completing the pokedex, shiny pokemon hunting and the master trainers which are all great, but I would have liked to see the Sevii islands like in Fire Red and Leaf Green.

Nintendo has been upfront since day one of the release, stating it would be a game to introduce new players (young, old, and yes Pokemon GO players) into pokemon console gaming. People don't realize that this was an EXTRA pokemon game release, we normally only get a new game every two years. we got USUM in 2017, LGPE this year and we're getting the new generation in 2019... if you don't want to buy the game then don't. Nintendo thought outside of the box with this new concept, and it's clearly paid off. so continue to complain as much as you want, but it looks like this is going to end up becoming a core series along side the new generations of pokemon games, and I will happily be first in line getting each new remake.    … Expand

    As a lifetime Pokemon fan who watched as the first episode aired on TV and who's wonderful mother got him a Gameboy Color just to play Pokemon Blue, Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee had an instant effect on me. Being able to explore the world of Pokemon with the creatures actually moving about, being able to throw Pokeballs at them (like I already pretended to do when I was a tiny nerd), and revisitAs a lifetime Pokemon fan who watched as the first episode aired on TV and who's wonderful mother got him a Gameboy Color just to play Pokemon Blue, Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee had an instant effect on me. Being able to explore the world of Pokemon with the creatures actually moving about, being able to throw Pokeballs at them (like I already pretended to do when I was a tiny nerd), and revisit the region where it all started in a full console setting... It was a dream come true. As a reimagining, this game did not fail to disappoint in the slightest. All the classic tracks redone in a BEAUTIFUL orchestra, every trainer and route identical with the only changes to the game being small quality of life improvements (aside from Safari Zone, we all still miss it), and the iconic moments were all redone with cinematic cutscenes to fully flush out what a masterpiece the original games were. Even the named characters intros and facial reaction paid detail to showing their personalities and really making them pop out even amongst the already detailed NPCs.

    If you're someone who's like me where catching the Pokemon, the story, and the world always meant so much more than competitive battling, you will not regret this amazing game. We didn't 'go back to Gen 1' with this game, Gen 1 came back to us.    … Expand

    My 8 year old daughter and I are having a blast with the game. it's easy enough for her play with minimal help from me, and I enjoy jumping in as the second player to guide her a bit. Beautiful art and music!

    Overall, I did have a blast playing Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee. I did like visiting all the cities of the original Pokémon games again and seeing all the original Pokémon. However, I really did not like how they changed how you capture Pokémon and I did not like the setup of the Pokémon boxes. For those who want to play this game for nostalgia reasons, I would recommend waiting until a sale comes out before purchasing. For newcomers to Pokémon, this is a really good introduction into the world of Kanto.
