Paso extremadamente peligroso que está dando Nintendo casualizando muy de seguido a la saga.

I've been enjoying everything about this game except for one thing: catching Pokemon. It doesn't matter whether I'm using the motion controls while it's docked (the motion controls for which are horribly imprecise) or moving it around in handheld mode. Catching Pokemon is the single most tedious thing in the entire game. When the whole reason your franchise is popular becomes the most tedious and frustrating thing about it, that's a problem, and that's why my review is so low. The one thing that was the immediate impetus for my writing this review is I had a 9-catch-chain on Weepinbell and the next one bolted after only 2 throws. That tells me random chance is far more of a factor than it should be. It's really sad, because this is otherwise a pretty good game. I'd been hoping that transferring Pokemon from Pokemon GO would allow me to forgo the tedium of catching them in-game, but, alas, you even have to catch the ones you transfer. Catching Pokemon is the whole point of the franchise, and, in Let's Go Eevee, it's not even enjoyable. Expand

I’m going to be 100% honest on this game. I got it cause I’m a huge fan and I do think the game and although the mechanics work very well and that the game has great textures I still don’t understand as to why they thought removing the Wild battle mechanics were a good idea, if they’d of just left the wild battle mechanics I bet you this wouldn’t of had so much backlash. Hey obviously don’t care about what we think or want, just try and make most money possible which seems to be Nintendo’s new way of thinking. It’s not horrible of a game, but it’s dumbed down so badly it just doesn’t deserve to have the price tag they’re asking for, but in the end Nintendo has been over charging for their garbage ports for well over 2 years now, so what else should I expect. Thanks for nothing Nintendo keep at it you’ll wind up exactly where sega is right now, a third party developer for the main family of consoles. Expand

I am by no means an expert in Pokemon but I mindlessly won every single battle without any difficulty. I wouldn't even mind if the combat were easy, if it were fun, but it isn't, even for a turn based game combat is as basic as ever. Battle animations are very simplistic, repetitive and boring/ Gameplay outside of combat is also very basic, there are very few puzzles and really nothing meaningful to do outside of battles. The story and dialogue are simple and generic. I honestly cannot understand how critics can justify giving this game such a high score. The game isn't terrible, its functional but it is so simplistic and really isn't exceptional in any category. It is below average. If this wasn't a pokemon game, I don't think anyone would care about it. Its actually sad to me that a game like this is selling so well when so many better games get overlooked. I do like some changes for example, now the pokemon wonder around, letting you encounter the pokemon you want instead of it being random, this is just one pro to several cons. While some parts are innovative and look as though they're moving the game forward, when in reality, the game just takes several steps back.

With wonky motion controls for throwing pokeballs, simplistic needs such as pokeballs and potions being the only necessary purchases, catching pokemon being the most efficient way to leveling up encouraging less combat, most trainers having just one pokemon minimizes combat, the removal of passives making the combat less dynamic, unable to evolve your main pokemon, the removal of breeding, the removal of the slot machines and prizes in the game center, the removal of the safari, the addition of pokemon go which is something I don't even play, the lack of online play unless you have nintendo switch online which you have never needed before for pokemon games, no pro controller support, the lack of save data backup, the most expensive pokemon game, the pokemon game with the least content to date, and more.

While playing this game I've hardly felt any thrill, a very mediocre experience to sum it up. TL;DR, This game is more fitting for the fans of the anime series, rather then the game series.

I hate how this game relies on the gimmicky mechanics of Pokemon Go, which I strongly dislike. Training pokemon is much harder and leaves a lot of clutter in the PC full of pokemon as your heavily reliant on catching pokemon to gain exp. points. God help you if you screw up with catching pokemon as you will earn less exp. for catching that one pokemon for the third to the fourth time. That also means you have to waste a lot of money on a lot of pokeballs that could have been spent on other things important for battles.

There is also that small problem where the player character can't decide whether to run or walk. I constantly have my joystick in the right direction and somehow the controls jerk between walking and running that slows me down, and I find that really annoying.

Needless to say, this is definitely the worst Pokemon game I've ever played. Never have I would ever say that a Pokemon game is bad, because I've been a lifelong fan of the series, but the fact that this is just a Pokemon Go game on a console made me question Gamefreaks experimentation and reliance on a single mobile game. Thank goodness they did not follow this trend on Sword and Shield otherwise I would have stopped anticipating new Pokemon games in the future. Sure Sword and Shield dumbed down the difficulty and cut most of the Pokedex, and X and Y lacked in good storytelling, but at least I can play those games without being frustrated with how to train your Pokemon. This was a bad experience.

After playing for a little while, the game quickly became extremely tedious and boring, as the battles are so easy that they require literally no thought, just repeatedly pressing A to win the battle. Pokemon games were always easy games for kids, but at least in the past you had to make choices on occasion, like item management (buying and using potions and revives, etc).

The marketing was misleading - the synopsis says "deep enough to keep veteran Trainers on their toes", but I don't agree with that at all. (Speaking as someone who has played the games since crystal, though I wouldn't consider myself a hardcore player by any means.) The addition of multiple difficulty options would have really improved the game in this respect.

The almost complete lack of a post-game was also pretty disappointing.

The game is a nice complement to the other games that have implemented some good qualities, as the game is a remake of a kanto game, it seems a bit dated and fussing that we can not get anything else and the love always goes to their first child, in my play it got bad and slow when you got further in the story and it ended with I stopped all day it did not give me anything to play it

Un gioco gradevole ma che taglia tanti contenuti rispetto al precedente remake rosso fuoco, sistema di combattimento con selvatici da rivedere totalmente. La semplificazione delle lotte rimuovendo le abilità è un peccato.

And here I am, some 20 something years later, playing THE EXACT SAME GAME, with a vernish cover, ok, but essentially the exact same thing. I just can't... How does the Nintendo main players can take this? It feels like Fifa or Madden. You put some new face here and there in the roster and it's good to go? wtf
Nothing is fun. nothing is new, there's zero appeal. This bs turn battles are old af, really, I don't know how can gamers put up with that for so long.

My rating is not zero for a very few things alone:

    - 2 points for pure nostalgia - I just love this 150+ characters, I grew up with them (even tho anything else seemed to mature in pokemon at all) it feels home, in a way
    - half a point for riding some of the pokemons (actually I feel like this part is more about the nostalgia too, because that's the dream of almost every single 90s' kid (and if I really think about it, it's half baked af, and stupid in a lot of ways. Just, PLEASE, allow the player to hop on or off the "ride" pokemon with a single button, not like 5 entries in 3 different menus)
    - the other half point for me is the cute graphics. But Again I feel a little fooled. It is pretty and cute, yes, but god, it's 2020. It is a 24yo multibilionaire franchise. So, what, you didn't have enough time or enough money to freaking program really good and unique animations? Especially in this game, in particular, considering it only has the first generation of monsters.

I know some of the "Nintenders" would hate me to say something like "we want a reall open world Pokemon game", but come on, don't we? Really, didn't you expect that by 2020 we would have something like Breath of the Wild in pokemon? imagine you freaking ACTUALLY FLYING in a charizard through a diverse open world, having to take care of your charizard buddy ride, or swapping it for another ride, because you just enter a cold snowy segment of the map, while you go after that rare artinuco. Imagine all that instead of going inside the same plot hole 'cave' in wich a legendary BIRD pokemon decided to built it's nest???? wtf, dude.
Or, okay, that seem too much? That seems like a Red Dead Pokédemption? Alright, so what about something entirely new? Forget about the little kid who's ten and is starting is poke journey and all that crap. Thing about a new plot. Something entirely new. Idk, something like the movie Detective Pikachu did; just hire some good writters and ask for new ideas.

I know pokemon is still a children targeted franchise (wich i kind think it's a mistake. seeing that half the playerbase are those 90s' kids, who are entering their thirties or worst, right now, and are still hooked with the idea) but can't Nintendo create a new timeline in games? You don't have to stop making this 'ever-the-same', they probably dont even have to invest all that much now, if all the animations and techniques are the same used decades ago. Just keep releasing this same formula games ad infinitum, but gosh, please try something new.

They are bad in docked the pokeballs go all over the place and are very difficult to control and are very not intuitive. The docked controls for the pokeball throwing work fantastic which is sad because the handheld controls are so much more accurate and better. also for people with bigger hands like me using one joycon is very uncomfortable to control everything and feels very janky. The game is very short but i went for an all shiny team which artificially lengthened the game. besides mewtwo's cave and gym rematches/ elite four rematches. there are three bonus trainers and the master trainers but the master trainers aren't even real content they are just padding. I only played handheld because it was just so much better. docked was not fun at all. even the battles were not hard. the eevee they give you in the beginning has perfect IVs and its easy to use it to demolish everything. versing misty give it an electric move, erica a fire type exclusive move. eevee literally makes this game a joke. This is not a good pokemon game. Then there are the gyms and their requirements i loathe these they are just ways to artificially stop you from doing the gym and forces you to do something else besides moving forward. If i don't want pokemon in the beginning of the game why are you forcing me to catch one. This game hampers you in the worst of ways. Also when losing a shiny it doesn't feel like my mistake which is the worst when losing out on catching a pokemon it should be my failure not that the game determines your not going to catch it. I never felt in control when trying to catch a shiny and that was the worst part.

there is some good in this game. The shinys appear in the wild like any other pokemon and are visible and you don't need to run into them to find out if they are actually shiny. they appear shiny like any other pokemon. and the customization options are pretty nice for you and eevee.

Overall this is a bad pokemon game. I honestly think they should have spent more resources on gen 8 rather than this. These are just not fun and that's the worst part. literally i beat the game on auto pilot from saffron to the pokemon league. the game is just that boring that i barely paid attention. The rival is extremely boring, team rocket is the same as usual, and they made this bare bones. I rather them skip a year than make something like this again because this was a terrible experience. I love pokemon but this was not fun for a pokemon game and that's saying something. It was tolerable when in handheld at best and at worst docked was unplayable because catching with the joycon SUCKS. I hope they don't make a sequel to this terrible game.

The gameplay and mechanics aspect was sadly neglected so you end up having a ridicolously easy game, boring and unengaging catch mechanics, a painfully dulled battle and EV system and all of this takes place in the same ol' kanto we all already know by memory by now. Sure, it might be fun for new players but so is every single other pokemon game, simpler mechanics don't end up mattering much when pokemon is already simple and approachable by design, and those games offer a lot more than lgpe does. I grew up playing Pokémon blue and fondly remember battling my first Pokémon in the tall grass with squirtle by my side. A somewhat challenging elite 4 and gyms kept me clamoring to raise more and better monsters as the generations went on. Granted the games have never been incredibly challenging but rarely were they insultingly easy even for a child from 7-10. However the new releases of LGPE have come across as a step forward on a couple of quality of life improvements but many steps backward in game design and implementation.
Improvements such as the box storage being accessible at all times, and easier access to nature changes in the wild will not go unnoticed and actually being able to ride the larger monsters will also be a hit with Pokémon fans. That being said the game does away with classical capture mechanics such as weaken, inflict status then attempt capture for the less intriguing pokeball throw using the inescapable motion controls (yes they are required for gameplay in dock mode while the gyro is used in handheld mode).
The novelty wears thin as you realize you must do this exact same wrist motion over and over to complete gym entrance tasks and in some cases level up a Pokémon or find a rarer breed through chaining more common breeds. As always Gamefreak misses the chance to make some of these mechanics optional (such as motion control) to please all kinds of fans in order to pander to mobile gamers who are familiar with a freemium app. Also negatives include the removal of all Pokémon from generation 2-7 and the inclusion of 151st Pokémon Mew trapped behind the purchase of a $50 joy con shaped like a pokeball.
Sadly this game tries to deliver nothing more than a short lived nostalgia high to those who played Pokémon 20 years ago then abandoned the series quickly thereafter. Like many developers, Gamefreak has chosen the path of least resistance to make a quick buck by recreating a 20 year old game tile by tile only to add a fresh coat of paint and destroy many of the more strategic mechanics that both veterans and new comers appreciate such as hold items and Pokémon abilities. In the wake we are left with a game meant to excite old feelings of adventure and excitement only to be left with a 10-12 hour main story filled with flicking wrists at random Pokémon we don’t want to catch but have to and a story which has changed so little that we know what will happen at almost every step. I encourage people to watch playthroughs before buying this game and ending up with $60 taken from their wallets and plenty of regret for trusting a franchise that Should know better. This being said I will cautiously watch for Generation 8 news where Gamefreak will have the chance to win back some of the fans who are disappointed with this entry to the series.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Let's Go is an interesting re-imagining of the Kanto region: For better and for worse.
My first gripe is just that: It's Kanto. I've nothing against the region itself, but there's nothing really new aside from a fresh coat of paint. Sure there's master trainers, and a few rematches/extra battles, but what is there to really do after that? I found myself wondering "so... what next?" There's no post-game story arcs, no Battle Frontier, let alone Battle Maison/Tree, and the lack of a Battle Spot and the dumbing-down of competitive mechanics rules out even putting together a team to take online and battle for rank. You're limited to only the first 150 Pokemon (151 if you bought Mew for $50), along with the new Meltan line, so completing the Pokedex is a breeze. Even Fire Red and Leaf Green had the Sevii Islands to play with afterwards. But this game doesn't have much of anything. It's Kanto, and that's it.
So what do I do now? Grind all of my Pokemon to level 100? And then what? The only thing I can think of would be to wait for DLC, but when the game itself already costs $60, I'm not looking forward to the prospect of having to pay even more money to enjoy myself further, when I hardly felt the game had offered me anything worthy of that price in the first place.
Now, the main story itself is fine and enjoyable. It's extremely easy, but it's fine. I do like that they at least added in Alolan Forms, Mega Evolution, and at least one new Pokemon line. I like the customization options in regards to your character AND starter Pokemon, as well. I like that my Pokemon follow me, and I like that I can ride them. While people complain about the gym requirements, I had met all of them my first time entering each gym anyway. In that regard, they were a non-issue. However, I can definitely understand (and I certainly agree with) the complaints about the removal of wild battles. Some see this as a positive, but to me, it felt as though the thrill of the battle, and any real challenge catching Pokemon was just eliminated. The wild Pokemon in the game felt more like targets than actual creatures. And with no held items or abilities, trainer battles pretty much came down to who had the type advantage, and that was honestly pretty boring, since there's so much more depth than that in an actual Pokemon game. I will say that it is cool that the candy system can allow just about any Pokemon to be viable in online battles, but, again, no Battle Spot.
Overall, I would not recommend this game to any new Pokemon trainers, and certainly not to any veterans. In my opinion, it's not a good representation of what a Pokemon game can be. Pokemon was never a difficult series of games, but there was always enough depth to keep it fun. This game throws that depth out the window and expects you to just enjoy it for its nostalgic value. To give credit where credit is due, there is some good to it, but certainly not enough content to justify a $60 price tag.

Now if you're fine with Gamefreak/Nintendo saying "All the fans need to see is that it has Pokemon in the title" then by all means I guess this game is for you. If you're fine with them putting in less and less effort in every subsequent iteration of your favorite franchise then by all means throw your hard earned cash at them and see this the video games sink into mobile/casual territory. The Director himself said in an interview that "People/Kids are used to mobile games and watching games on youtube", so by his defintion, you the consumer have the attention span of an ant to even be able to enjoy fully fleshed out video games and would probably just enjoy watching beautiful scenery than actually playing the games. But enough about that.

See the problem with the games is, its a switch game, not only that but its pokemons debut game for the console itself. Its priced at 60$ which is 20$ more than the previous games and it has less content. This is a fact. Stripping the other pokemons itself is already a huge chunk of the content out of the games. FR/LG had sevii islands in the post-game, HG/SS had the battle frontier, OR/AS had soaring, mirage islands, battle-resort, Delta episode then LGPE has well.. 1 on 1 with a bunch of trainers just re-scattered around kanto. I get it they want to lure in the Go community and the people that left the games a long time ago but at the cost of alienating your LOYAL fanbase. That a bit of a kick in the nuts. Why couldn't they find a middle ground to make the games appealing to both and then again by the way they designed this game it shouldn't even be appealing to the casual-fanbase, in truth its insulting, basically them saying that the games in its current state, a childrens game btw is too much for other people to handle so they had to dumb it down even for grown adults to enjoy? ridiculous. but hey people will probably just eat this up because its pokemon and its pretty.

If you're a long time fan of the series and no matter how much this game looks appealing to you, just think about what this game means for the future of the series. Speak out, vote with your wallet. Maybe you won't feel the effects yet by the already announced gen 8 title, but at somepoint gamefreak is going to realize even without putting any effort into these games that they will sell, I assure you the video games will become shells of its former self. Im sure alot already feels this way with the 3DS games.

Yes, they know what Nintendo said about the game not being exactly like the others and, yes, they know about the mechanics that Nintendo said would not be in the game. With that said, that does not invalidate their entire review because, like everyone else, they had their own experience with the game and just want to share their thoughts. So, don't be so quick to down-vote. This is what reviews are for, to show an overall reception of a piece of media. So take in all of these reviews and form your own opinion about the game.

    ANYWAY,
I beat Pokemon Emerald in 3 days when I was 5 years old. That being said, Pokemon Let's Go Eevee (and Pikachu. They're the same game. Don't be a sucker and buy both) are dumbed down to the bear minimum.
    - Always on exp share (not a big issue though)
    - Pokemon GO wild battles
    - constant hand holding
    - friendly rival (because children are sensitive and words hurt I guess)
    - No abilities
    - No held items
    - Only first 151 Pokemon (plus Meltan and Melmetal)
    - No working game corner (because I guess that counts as gambling and we must shield the children)
It's almost as if Game Freak assumes that kids these days are getting dumber every year. The games were already easy and, now, they're just lifeless.

I don't have a problem with going back to Kanto because I really like Kanto. The issue lies in that there are no new places to go. In fact, places like the Sevii Islands have been taken out. Personally, I would have really like to visit Johto afterwards but I guess that was too much to ask for.

I also don't have a problem with wild pokemon appearing outside of battle rather than being randomly selected when running through tall grass. The issue with this, though, is that there are so many of them and, a lot of times, you will have your path blocked by randomly wandering wild pokemon whom you can't touch because then you'll be forced to play carnival ring toss with them.

The story is fairly the same as pokemon yellow with little to no change. You start out as a trainer in pallet town and end after beating the pokemon league. Simple. There is also no post game unless you think that "Master Trainers" actually qualifies for being post-game content. I don't see why Nintendo made a big fuss over master trainers. They're just 1v1 battles of the same pokemon and you get a title of that specific pokemon when you beat them but, those titles don't make sense in any context if you use more than one species of pokemon.

You can also try to complete the pokedex but that only works if you get mew who is locked behind a paywall. That's right! You have to buy the pokeball plus to acquire mew which is another $50 ($40 dollars if you buy the bundle pack) because, I guess, EA must've taken Nintendo aside and told them that consumers love getting screwed over at every turn.

Also, half the animations were quite literally ripped from SM/USUM so expect a lot of things to look familiar. ALSO, the graphics look sub-par. The switch is definitely capable of more than just SM/USUM graphics without the black outlines. So, that was unimpressive.

Character customization is pretty shallow despite being much better in previous titles on an inferior console. Once you pick your character appearance, you are not able to change anything about it from then on (hair style, color, eye color, etc.) You can still customize your outfit but, that has been dumbed down to just a few sets (some of which are version exclusive) and any attempt to mix and match between the sets never looks right.

The thing that I think this game does right is the music. The music is always top notch, largely because everything else is still conveyed through text. Taking the soundtrack up to orchestral level is always nice though.

Overall, this game is just... okay. It plays fine. It looks fine. However, once you beat it, there is no reason to ever come back. The online sucks and, now you need to buy a Nintendo Switch Online Subscription to even do something simple like that.

(TL;DR) Not worth $60. Designed to appeal to the very small brain stunted children. This game is Baddy Bad.

Skill when catching the Pokemon is gone. Instead of figuring out what moves work best to get the health low the most there is is figuring out where to aim the pokeball (in handheld mode anyway), and when you DO actually battle pokemon, you have to get rid of all it's health, THEN catch it. This entry was really disappointing to me. However, i did have fun battling the pokemon trainers, gyms, team rocket members, etc. Expand

Pokemon LGPE is the moment the franchise lost all it's heart and substance. Sure it's cute with the starter pokemon interactions, but the rest of the game is a bare bones even more simplistic take on what has been done twice already. (RBY, and FRLG). Not to mention the clearly shoehorned on GO mechanics. I'm not sure why they went with this, GO players are unlikely to buy a whole new console for a game aimed squarely at them. By taking out one of the most basic and classic mechanics of the game (battling wild pokemon) they have alienated a lot of the fanbase.

Then there is the graphical element, it's barely different to a 3DS game. They could have done so much more with this but just wanted to throw out a quick game to appease a new demographic, not their long term fans. The wild pokemon don't even look like they belong in their environments, it's like something you would expect from a free mobile game. Mew is only obtainable if you buy a £50 controller. The game randomly slows down for seemingly no reason, I doubt this is a game pushing the Switch to its limits.

Only 151 pokemon available (153 with the Meltan from GO), no natures, no held items, no abilities, no contests, no battle frontier. If they had to do Kanto again, a proper sequel after 20 years would have been perfect, including all the features above along with others I haven't mentioned.

Pokemon games have never been hard, but this one takes it to the extreme. For the first gym, they won't even let you in without having a grass or water type on your team. Your box is available at all times meaning using items is pointless. Pokeballs are handed to you constantly. Poison has no effect outside of battle. Basically any fun and challenge has been removed from the game. Kids didn't need this handholding in 1999, why do they need it now?

Overall it's just a very lazily made game aimed at people who probably won't buy it anyway. If the next main series games are anything like this, I will have to say goodbye to the franchise, even after 20 years.

Solo he jugado y completado por salirme gratis. De haber tenido que pagar jamás lo habría jugado.

This is easily the worst Pokémon game I have ever had the displeasure of playing. They changed the catching mechanic so that it's like Pokémon GO (which works fine on mobile but not on console), they got rid of EV's and replaced them with AV's or some useless **** and the game is painfully easy. I'm not expecting anything super difficult, but I could beat this game with 4 broken limbs. IThis is easily the worst Pokémon game I have ever had the displeasure of playing. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Let's Go is a No Go.

Right off the bat this game baits you with nostalgia only to bash you over the head with its poor capture mechanic and awkward single joycon controls. Adding to the frustration, pokemon can run away at literally any time up to and even including when the pokeball hits. Even the Encounter pokemon can run from you too now.

Speaking of Encounter pokemon, you now have to battle them first before you can try to capture them. Plus you only have 5 minutes to beat them in. This restriction is quite unfair as now you need to over power your pokemon to finish the battle in time to get to the capture phase.

The motion controls for the capture mechanic are also inaccurate at times causing your ball to fly off to the left when you want to throw to the right. Most of the time when I wanted to throw directly in front of me, I had to move the joycon up as if I was throwing underhanded. I should mention also that while doing this, my joycon was in the joycon grip accessory alone as not using the Left joycon too felt awkward.

Next is the issue of the box your pokemon are stored in. in every mainline pokemon game, as well as Pokemon Colosseum and XD Gale of Darkness, your pokemon were sent into multiple boxes that could hold up to 20 in the old Gen 1 and 2 games, to 30 pokemon each in Generation 3 and up. Now you have a single box that hold up to 1000 pokemon! Game Freak expects you to be capturing tons of pokemon, but doing so makes it harder to pick out a pokemon to use, similar to picking out a marble from an ever increasing bag of marbles. Without being able to use multiple boxes, sorting pokemon becomes as easy as cleaning a kid's bedroom.

When it comes to training pokemon you're going to have to rely on that capture mechanic most of the time as the only battles you'll be facing are from either 6 specific encounter pokemon, or Trainers. This winds up giving you little personal experience in battling with little room for experimenting outside of battling the elite 4 or Green.

While hyper Training was brought back for this game, it's now rendered moot as there is now a candy system in place to also make a sugar junkie out of your pokemon as you boost their stats with more than just Rare Candies. Beware though, if you take your buffed out pokemon online, you stand running the risk of your pokemon facing a sugar crash and having their stats reverted for the online battle unless you choose the right rule set.

Also online battles and trades are pay walled by the Nintendo switch online service now.

The amount of unique pokemon you can get is also SEVERLY limited to just the first 151 pokemon, plus what might as well be considered Generation 8's first 2 pokemon, Meltan and Melmetal, as they are not usable anywhere else other than the multi-generational pokemon Go. Speaking of Pokemon Go, at the time of this writing, Pokemon Go has pokemon captureable from Generations 1 through 4, but only Bulbasaur through Mewtwo, as well as Meltan and Melmetal can be transferred into Let's Go. This means that in order to get Mew in Let's Go, you need to get the pokeball Plus while the Mew promotion is still going on.

Speaking of that device now, the Mew on it can only be redeemed once. so choose wisely what you do with it. As for how good the device is, I can not say as I do not have it.

While the Game corner does make a comeback, none of the games are playable in it despite the place being converted from a Casino into an Arcade. Instead, you can come here to pick up respawnable items. Fun. /s

The NPC's of Fushia even lie about the Safari zone now as it has been replaced with Go Park.

In past games you could get a bike you could ride to speed up, or ride Tauros in Gen 7. In Let's Go, you get to pick the pokemon you ride, from a selection. However if you get too close to a wall, your pokemon goes back into their ball leaving you on the ground.

Now all that said, I did find somethings likeable about this game. Certain interactions with your partner pokemon were enjoyable, the new Additional story elements were a plus (the additions, not the replacements), and even the part where you get to play as your partner pokemon in the rocket hideout were enjoyable, but they were not enough to save this game.

Nostalgia can only take a product so far, and that distance is even shorter when you have access to the original game, the first remake, and the port to the 3DS. Pokemon Let's go is a No Go, but because of the stuff I did enjoy, I'm giving it a 2 instead of a 1.

I've been skeptical ever since this was announced and frankly my opinion hasn't changed from any of the things they have shown us.

Before I start on this I must say this game is fine for someone new to the series. THAT is one thing I think everyone can agree on. It's a very basic game and is pretty much meant to be that bridge for people that haven't jumped onto mainline Pokemon yet.

If this game were judged on its own, it may even be worthy of a better score, however that isn't the situation this game calls for.

Let's Go Pikachu is a watered down game that's priced $20 more than Ultra Sun despite the latter having more content and overall being a better designed experience. LGP arbitrarily removes mechanics that have been a series staple, while throwing darts on the wall to choose which mechanics to keep (such as megas). There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to what gets removed and what stays. I imagine the development team for this game didn't have much direction. At its core LGP is a 20 year old game with a new coat of paint, nothing on a deeper level has really been changed in any meaningful way. It's received the most common QOL updates that the series has progressed on but nothing has really been done to make it feel like a modern Pokemon experience. About the only remarkable new thing in LGP is the interactivity with your Pokemon and more importantly your starter of choice. This game is clearly filler to stall time for gen 8, but it also strikes a chord with those people that have a weakness for nostalgia.
If you are very desperate for a new game regardless of quality, you might as well get this. If you are new to the series, this honestly isn't a bad choice. But if you're a veteran like me then this game really offers nothing for the $60 price tag, and I would advise against purchasing it. I for one will be giving this game to my brother and he will probably enjoy it.

Overall, I did have a blast playing Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee. I did like visiting all the cities of the original Pokémon games again and seeing all the original Pokémon. However, I really did not like how they changed how you capture Pokémon and I did not like the setup of the Pokémon boxes. For those who want to play this game for nostalgia reasons, I would recommend waiting until a sale comes out before purchasing. For newcomers to Pokémon, this is a really good introduction into the world of Kanto.

It’s hard to make sense of the game that’s basically a Switch port of iOS/Android remake of Pokemon Red/Green. Is it a step forward, step backward – or maybe just a shameless cash-in? Turns out, it’s a great remake – the world looks exactly as we imagined it back when we were staring at black and white pixels of original Red/Green. [Issue#235, p.44]
