    Outside of those who've mastered every masochistic NES classic, it's just not clear who Panzer Paladin is going to appeal to - and as a result, only hardcore fans of the genre should even attempt to give this one a spin.

For those who instead temper their judgement and see the game for what it is, Panzer Paladin is a very solid, extremely well-made love letter to the tough-as-nails 8-bit platformers of yesteryear.

    Boasting incredible pixel-art and anime inspired visuals, a novel and engaging combat system and a bevy of weapons and techniques to experiment with and master, Panzer Paladin doesn't do much to reinvent the wheel, but it's hard to deny that the game leaves it's mark as a stand-out indie classic that in most cases stands head-and-shoulders above it's contemporaries.    … Full Review »

Just because a game doesn’t offer “anything different” doesn’t mean you won’t enjoy it or it isn’t worth playing especially if you are into retro games. Pros
    + cool 8-but retro graphics
    + great soundtrack
    + nice variety of levels and longevity of gameplay + original weapons system mechanics
    + good $$ value + nice presentation and cutscenes

The graphics are an 8-bit pixel-art with high framerate and complex button layouts for modern controllers. The soundtrack is full of wonderful rock-themes with an 8-bit mode where the nostalgia factor gets turned up to 11. Gameplay can get repetitive at times, but the areas are diverse with unique enemies and amazing boss designs. it's most fun to play in small bursts.
