The lack of stuff like Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures, the infamous Atari 2600 port and anything related to Ms. or Jr. Pac-Man is noticeable, but the amount of quality stuffed into this collection more than makes up for any absences. Everything plays really well, too. I'm no Pac Pro, but I didn't notice any sort of game-breaking lag in my time with it. Simply put, this is a fantastic collection that's well worth coming down with a case of Pac-Man fever for! [Issue #60 – July/August 2022, p. 74]

Pac-Man Museum + has plenty for Pac-fans wanting a more varied collection of the pellet-munching mascot. It's not unexpected that Ms Pac-Man is omitted. It's a shame that the Championship Edition is included without the DX upgrade. The majority of the games in the museum are enjoyable enough to return to.

Pac-Man Museum+ is certainly a welcome addition to join the robust army of retro collections now available for the Nintendo Switch. Not every game is necessarily a hit, but they are all still part of a legacy that was certainly vital in shaping the future of video games.

The lack of Ms. Pac-Man is disappointing, and the arcade customization could have been a little bit deeper, but this is a strong collection of games that should delight both long-time Pac-fans, and those new to the series.

A compilation that just for it's historical value alone it's worth every penny.

For fans of Pac-Man and his historical pedigree, this is the best round-up yet, spanning decades and featuring his most notable titles. It’s the kind of collection the current Wonder Boy release should have been. The arcade overworld is a nice touch, although the frame rate is a big letdown and really should have been ironed out. And, while you might spend a while tinkering and designing your arcade space, the attraction of the gimmick is ultimately short-lived. Presentation deficiencies aside, though, one can’t really fault the comprehensiveness of the collection, nor the quality of the titles themselves (well, except Pac in Time). It’s a Pac-festival, and while it certainly has limited appeal, it offers countless hours of gaming fun and an interesting historical insight into the yellow orb’s evolution.

As it stands, Pac-Man Museum+ is a solid selection of games from across Pac-Man’s history, but it could also certainly be larger and more comprehensive than it is. It feels more like a random selection of games than a “top hits” sort of thing, and the additional build your arcade feature isn’t particularly interesting. On the plus side, playing through on the Switch in both handheld and TV mode, I felt like the emulation for each title was pretty spot-on. I had seen reports of noticeable lag from a few people, but I never had any big issues with either mode of play. And yeah, it’s cheap enough and features enough good Pac-Man games that it’s sort of hard to not recommend it overall. While not super-impressive as a whole, I prefer this focused approach over another generic Namco collection.

Pac-Man Museum + is one of those repetitive compilations that brings us some classic but iconic games of a character. However, it's still fun to break records, unlock games, and complete quests. It's something everyone should try at some point.

It’s great to have Pac-Man back, even if it doesn’t bring any new to the table. Of course, it depends how many games you already own or care about.

A well presented collection of some of the more interesting titles from the Pac-Man series. Not all of the best ones are included of course, but you can’t have everything.

Pac-Man Museum + is a lot to chew on, as there are many upsides to this package. The selection is good, there’s plenty of replayability, the leaderboards are nice, and a few stand-out titles can be found within. Plus, you really can’t beat the entry price being so low. But sadly, it’s a package that is bogged down with a handful of control issues and a lack of options. In a collection celebrating a character via a customizable arcade, it’s unfortunate there isn’t as much care put into the customization of the player experience. Will I still be playing it often? Absolutely. A handful of these titles both promote Pac-Man’s historic legacy, while standing on their own. Others, however, get lost in a game that is ironically all about mazes.

Pac Man Museum + is certainly packed full of arcade entertainment, but not all of its games were created equal.

Pac-Man’s been through worse, like that Adam Sandler abomination I won’t mention again here. But it feels like gaming’s elder statesman deserves more recognition, and a better museum than this.

Pac-Man is, of course, no stranger to arcade games, and has managed to stay surprisingly popular for a sentient pizza with an insatiable appetite. These games are often times a perfect example of the "one more try" idea, that you might finally get beyond a certain round, or take down a high score if you go for just one final game.

From the cute customizable arcade you access all the games from to the instructions on the side of the screen while you play, the game focuses on really trying to give you that arcade feeling, and succeeds pretty well. Of course, there are some things you just can't replicate compared to an arcade, but perhaps these games get as close as they can. I do love this collection, though I do think that some more games could have been included. Seriously, where are any of the Pac-Man World games?
