    The game is good but nothing particularly special. I rate it 8/10 because it is really fun to play with friends. One player mode was, for me, pretty boring.

    A tad overpriced, but it's still a Mario game, you know? Multiplayer is chaotic, but so much fun!

    A nice 2D platformer filled with nostalgia and with the marvelous multiplayer options which is a real gain here. To be clear, I played it 3 players coop all long, and that was a funny treat. In solo I'm not sure it'd be such interesting since the level design is not the greatest Nintendo work.

    Sure its another 2D mario game. BUT WHO DOESNT HAVE FUN WITH 2D MARIO. it literally saved the industry at one point and that happened for a reason.

    I was fairly close to giving this a 7, however the few creative stages within New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, makes this a close 8. The only flaw I have with this game is the pacing, compared to older games like SMB 3, the levels do not feel cohesive. Certain areas are not very memorable while others really shine such as the spooky forest, and more boring ones like Rock Candy Canyon.I was fairly close to giving this a 7, however the few creative stages within New Super Mario Bros.     +/- het wordt niet uitgelegd hoe je minigames unlocked. ze zijn wel uniek & tof + de level design is solid + New Soup Luigi is uitdagend, en heeft Luigi physics. er zijn ook verborgen Luigi's te vinden in elk level van New Soup Luigi - de onzichtbare muren worden niet (goed) gehint dat ze er zijn +/- de map blijft    = dit is een collectie van New Soup U & New Soup Luigi

    +/- het wordt niet uitgelegd hoe je minigames unlocked. ze zijn wel uniek & tof

    + de level design is solid

    + New Soup Luigi is uitdagend, en heeft Luigi physics. er zijn ook verborgen Luigi's te vinden in elk level van New Soup Luigi

    - de onzichtbare muren worden niet (goed) gehint dat ze er zijn

    +/- de map blijft hetzelfde in beide games maar als je onthoud waar er secret exits zijn dan weet je waar je moet zoeken

    + de game heeft multiplayer voor 4 en is tof in singleplayer. eigenlijk een superior New Soup Wii

    +/- de theming is niet echt origineel maar de extra's dat ze erin hebben gestoken komt ver om het nieuw te maken

    + de eikel power-up is zeker de beste air based power-up

    + de bazen zijn een highlight, de koopalings zijn uniek van elkaar, Bowser Jr. is altijd een highlight en Kamek is tof vanwege zijn RNG en Bowser is klimatisch en uitdagend

    - Peachtette is gewoon de eikel power-up. Toadette maakt de game niet gemakkelijker buiten de klok vergroten (wat nuttig is in multiplayer)

    - er zijn 3 baby yoshi's maar enkel de ballon yoshi is nuttig om te hebben. als je ze verliesd respawnen ze niet direct. spijtig want ze hadden de nieuwe Yoshi kunnen zijn (hij is ook in de game maar op dezelfde manier als in Wii)

    conclusie:
    deze game is het zeker waard voor een 2D Mario game. het heeft meer content dan je denkt    … Expand

    I'm a huge fan of Mario games and this game was a huge astoundment. There is something about this entry in the 30 year old franchise. There are new characters in the game. They are Nabbit and Toadette (Peachette with the Super Crown). This game is a good spin-off.

    A great little 2D platformer made the Nintendo way, reminiscent of the Super Mario Bros. games from the NES and the SNES.
    It's got all such a game needs: Excellent gameplay and level design with Mario characters and their particular sense of humour. Only downside is the fact it seems unintentionally a little antiquated from an art design perspective, even for a Switch or WiiU game.     As a Super Mario 2D platformer fans, i REALLY like this game. To get 3 star is quite challenging, no regret purchasing this game.

    I have only played the DS one before. People say that these games are bland and boring... But here is the thing. If you were asked to make a completely new NSMB game and what would you add. Most of you probably be completely out of words. So every single NSMB game is 11/10. Plus all of them add at least something new!

    Хорошо подойдёт для игры вдвоём: как для взрослых, так и для детей.
    Есть 4 героя, у 2 их которых упрощённые механики - Пичетта не может упасть в пропасть, а Кралик неуязвим для врагов. Немного напрягает, что нельзя сохраняться между замками (точнее можно, но только 1 раз), но промежутки там небольшие, поэтому нельзя считать это за полноценный    Забавное красочное приключение.
    Хорошо подойдёт для игры вдвоём: как для взрослых, так и для детей.

    Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe is hated a lot but if you think about it, it isn't that bad sure it's a port of an older game released years ago but it IS really the only 2d Mario game on the Nintendo Switch if your not counting Nintendo Switch Online. not just saying that the game is still good there are so many courses and if you buy it your going to have a lot of fun the multiplayer is aSuper Mario Bros.     there's nothing actually wrong with the game it's self, people just didn't like it because it's too similar to the other new super Mario bros games. anyway, now it's on the switch, so the U no longer makes any sense

The people who complain about difficulty are also really nit-picky, because the Pendulum Castle stage is far beyond hard to complete. This is a good game. This is a fun game.     Its a fun game with a lot stuff to do. Great plataform-based-game with local coop multiplayer...this game's one of best super mario saga ever made with nice gameplay plus tons of fun hours to enjoy.

    Ok, so let’s be realistic here. This is a great game. Anybody who likes Mario platformers, playing this for the first time, and not afraid of a little challenge will enjoy this game. I have played numerous games for the Nintendo Switch and this is one of a select few that I enjoyed so much I went back to 100%. The reason for the low ratings appear to be because: a) it’s the same gameOk, so let’s be realistic here. This is a great game. Anybody who likes Mario platformers, playing this for the first time, and not afraid of a little challenge will enjoy this game.     b) people bought it again because they thought Luigi mode added new levels and all it really does is speed up the clock.
    c) it’s a little more challenging than they are accustomed to. The reality is that the original game got an 8.0 on metacritic, the game aged well, and new features were added to it. If you already played the game, don’t buy it if you’re expecting it to be much more than it was before. If you are new to the game, make the purchase, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.    … Expand

    Kind of fun but lacks the innovation of the 3D Mario games and can be frustrating. Not least because when you die it spits you out of the level back onto the map screen where you then have to re-enter the level, with load screens at every stage in between. After getting used to more modern platformers that put you right back in the action after you die, this system feels a bit antiquated and slow.

    Jogo bastante divertido, cheio de conteúdo, com dois jogos em um só: new super mario bros U e new super luigi U com vários modos extras,multiplayer competivo e muitas outras coisas além da resolução melhorada em comparação com a versão do wii u

    Is it a good game? - Of course; it is a Mario game. Nearly every Mario game is good. However, we cannot forget that this Mario game has few new things it has to offer. It has the same (level)design and music. After 4 games we, or at least me get tired of the same things that happen every year. We definetely expected a groundbreaking game for the switch but, instead of that, we got a portIs it a good game? - Of course; it is a Mario game. Nearly every Mario game is good. However, we cannot forget that this Mario game has few new things it has to offer. It has the same (level)design and music. After 4 games we, or at least me get tired of the same things that happen every year. We definetely expected a groundbreaking game for the switch but, instead of that, we got a port of a game on the WII U. I get it, The WII U didn't sold that well.

    Long story short: It is a good game. It is definetely your time if you're a Mario fan. Or even if you never played a Mario game before, you won't be dissapointed.    … Expand

    Es el típico juego de Mario en 2D, si eres fan de Mario te gustará, no innova pero tampoco se sale de lo que todos esperan del juego, bastante entretenido y que nos dará muchas horas de diversión.

    I already cleared the game and I've cleared 4 of the Star Road levels already and I'm having fun every step of the way. There are a    Game is so fun and has exploration/mystery/discovery mechanic in the form of Star Coins. The graphics and sounds are so much better than the style that is in SMM2. it's like a pretty nice modern continuation of the games we've loved such as SMB3 and SMB2.

    I already cleared the game and I've cleared 4 of the Star Road levels already and I'm having fun every step of the way. There are a few frustrating parts that could have been improved here or there but for the most part it's been a spectacular adventure and I haven't even got to the bonus content yet! People recommended against this purchase but I have to tell you, they were so very wrong! I don't even think Odyssey will be as enjoyable as this game has already been. I'm definitely planning on getting Odyssey of course eventually. But my wallet needs more power.

    The game also improves my opinion of Bowser Junior. The guy is such a character and has been fun to watch on the screen. Also, I like this version of Toad that we get to play as. The Icy Flower is so much fun! I could go on and on about how much I like this game. They should continue making more 2D games. Great success.    … Expand

    Me entretiene mucho, me ecnató su multijugador y mantiene su dificultad como se esperaba, puedo jugarlo con personas adultas o niños pequeños hay un personaje para cada edad, creo que si tienes un switch este juego debe formar parte de tu repositorio de juegos.

    It might be merely a return of a game that did not advance the series, but it was – and still is – the genre’s peak achievement. Sure, I could argue that boss encounters could’ve been more polished and the game could’ve looked better since Switch is more powerful than Wii U. A new world would have been a nice touch too. But what can I do when the game’s core is so good and it is complemented by content so great that such complaints become irrelevant? [02/2019, p.54]
