Nov 1, 2024Nomada keeps its game tightly focused, leading to a running time of about four hours. But the melancholic exploration of the intertwined emotions of parenthood, death and nature will stay with you for a lot longer.

Oct 22, 2024I preferred Neva to Gris, though both games are triumphant and artistic video games that will probably make you cry like a baby. If you’re a lifelong pet owner like myself, Neva has the potential to hit you like a train, but it’s also a universal enough feeling to work for anyone. The combat is a great addition to the video game aspect that definitely filled in a hole for me in the experience. Nomada Studio continues their penchant for making gorgeous games that are packed with emotional resonance. Now that they’ve told game stories about parents and pets, we’ll see how they can make us all cry next.

Oct 16, 2024Neva is a brilliant video game in every sense. It immerses us in an adventure constructed with various types of tension. The story, sustained between mechanics and landscapes, envelops us, pushing movement with naturalness and skill. The sophisticated rhythm the game imposes is based on the danger and pain felt throughout the space. The title is perfectionistic, with each aspect being harmonious. Neva is lucid and filled with nuanced symbols, undoubtedly allowing us to savor the delicacy of pain, growing, staying here, and continuing on.
