Its huge roster of characters, great recap of the last few anime arcs, and awesome porting job make this one a must have on the Switch.

The Switch is a good home for Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto. I didn’t have an issue with online gameplay or any of the single-player modes, and other than a few frame drops, fights were fluid and responsive. If you’re a Naruto fan and have somehow not played this game yet, this is probably the perfect way to.

The Story, Adventure and Boruto's Tales add up to at least 30 hours of content, and are all executed brilliant, with exception of the frame drops in Adventure mode. If Naruto has a nostalgic place in your heart, then Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto is a must-own.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto may be landing a few years late on the Nintendo Switch but this fourth chapter in this particular Naruto series of games has plenty to go for. With a fluid, intense combat, an impressive array of characters and an art style that is faithful to that found in the animation series, this is a game that is at the same time considerate of newcomers and which will make veterans and fans feel right at home.

Thanks to some welcome changes to its core systems – mainly the improved battle mechanics and the great onus on story content – Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto is the most accomplished and enjoyable instalment in the series yet. While it’s certainly more for the hardcore Naruto crowd, it’s nevertheless a meaty package with an impressively vast roster, a huge amount of unlockable content and the addition of the film-tie in for the Baruto storyline. If you love all things Naruto, this fourth instalment is a must-have addition to your ninja collection.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 – Road to Boruto is the most complete fighting game in the series thus far, with every DLC and over 100 characters that span generations. Arena fights featuring strategic ninja jutsu action are exciting to play out, although it does feel simple compared to other fighting games. The story mode, with its intense quick-time cinematic sequences, is a highlight, although it only covers the very end of the long series. Adventure modes are more of a dull grind, but a packed online mode makes up for it, especially with the plethora of playable ninja. Those not familiar with the series may not appreciate the strides taken to recreate the anime, but hardcore Naruto fans will enjoy what this game has to offer. Believe it!

Road to Boruto goes above and beyond what I expect from an anime-inspired game. Not a single facet of this game is done lazily and everything has the same effort and care put into it. Barring some minuscule graphical issues and somewhat shoddy plot points, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto is this generation’s Dragon Ball Z: Budokai. It’s the eponymous anime fighting game and is one that will not only be remembered fondly but will also be revisited to see what a great anime fighter looks like.

Even with no new content outside of a few downloadable characters and costumes, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto is still the best that the franchise has to offer gaming wise and performs with very few hiccups in its latest release on the Nintendo Switch.

Road to Boruto is a fun and spectacular fighting game that, even if it offers less content than Naruto SUNS Trilogy, includes all the DLC, the biggest roster of fighters seen in the series and offers more polished visuals, but it's not free of minor problems here and there, like fps drops in adventure mode.

Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4: Road to Boruto is arguably a must have for every Naruto fan; even today through this port, which cuts some cutscenes and is less impressive in the graphic side. Its gameplay still looks and feels amazing. Assuming some few hiccups, this port is fluid and enjoyable enough to consider buying on Nintendo Switch.

Simply a must-have for all fans who have not had the opportunity to play it so far: an all-inclusive edition, which includes all the DLCs and expansions of the best tie-in ever dedicated to Masashi Kishimoto's work, which will allow Nintendo users to rediscover one of the most valid videogame transpositions of an anime.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road To Boruto is just as fun now on the Nintendo Switch as it was back when it launched. It’s another impressive port for the portable home console’s library that doesn’t seem like it’ll ever slow down.
