A free-running joy at home or on the go, N++'s tricky yet gratifying array of platformer puzzle levels ensures a worthwhile purchase, and the online options only extend its already considerable lifespan. With single- and multiplayer options fitting the Switch's form factor and detachable controller attributes like a glove, N++ is a strong consideration for top indie game on the eShop.

N++ is a platform game of near perfection. There are countless levels to explore, a boatload of collectables, and a satisfyingly steep difficulty curve that perfectionists will relish.

N++ is an excellent physics-based platformer that demands you develop your skills to overcome its challenges. The art style may not be for everybody but its hundreds of included levels and countless hours of community content make it an excellent investment.

N++ is a game that absolutely can be its best on the Switch but in its current state, I’d recommend buying it on PS4 or Xbox if you want to play docked. If you want it handheld, this is absolutely worth picking up right now.

You can’t really go wrong with N++. The floaty controls will put some off to start with, but given time, you get used to them and they don’t really become much of a problem. From a game that I played during classes at school thirteen years ago, to now appearing on all of the major consoles. One thing hasn’t changed in all of those years, and that is its ability to make me want to play just one more level. Once it has its claws in you, it won’t let go and considering the community levels mean you potentially have thousands of levels to play, the fun doesn’t need to stop.

N++ is a simple platform game and it completely focuses on that aspect, bringing an almost limitless amount of content to those that wish to master it’s unique style of platforming. To those that like games that require a lot of precision from players and don’t mind some considerable difficulty, N++ is a great recommendation.

All in all, content-wise N++ is a fantastic package. With the level editor more levels are available than you could probably play in a lifetime. And while the game’s atmosphere isn’t it’s strongest attribute, what it lacks in interesting aesthetic it makes up for with diversity in level design. If you have a buddy around, the multiplayer options are great for jumping and racing through the episodes.

Bags of levels and increasing difficulty will keep N++ refreshing for hours and days on end. The mechanics are simple and yet incredibly deep, which opens up a wonderful game brimming with customisation options and new modes to try out. Floaty controls sometimes hamper progress, but the deaths are always spectacular.

Despite a solid playable base, the game is tedious and repetitive due to a very poor presentation that seems to be the result of laziness.

There’s something to be said for making players figure out and adapt to your quirks, I guess — and if you’re cool with that, then N++ has more than enough content to keep you occupied for weeks — but given the choice between a game that has solid controls and a game that doesn’t, I don’t know why you wouldn’t pick the former every time.

I love laughing in the faces of the machines that tried killing me throughout a level, rubbing it in their non-existent faces. Also it has a lot of content: hours of solo play, multiplayer play, and level editors make this an endless game. It's the best platformer I've ever played. Full Review »

It is very well adapted to the Switch version, both controls, gameplay and different game modes. Some game modes are unique in this platform.
Some of the game modes it has are local and online multiplayer, creation of our own scenario to play it ourselves or share it on the internet and the traditional way of overcoming internal levels of the game itself.
It is a game that engages a lot because at first it seems easy but at the few levels we can realize that it is not easy, but on the contrary, it is very complicated, but despite that we will be playing for hours to get through that such a difficult level.
If you liked Super Meat Boy, this game sure is also to your liking.
