I think it is a nice and beautiful game but no more than that. As a Dark souls veteran, it wasn't really hard. The games gives you too much resources to make bosses easy. I was able to beat many of the main bosses and final boss first try. The parry damage is broken. I finished the game in 5 hours only and i see no replayability. It is lacking personality and not memorable.

A decent game, this - it looks lovely, in my opinion, and the combat is quite challenging - but the map design and the stage design is very odd - everything just looks the same within one region, and since everything is so "open" more or less, it's hard to distinguish one place from another (so I spent a lot of time just wandering around places I've already been to see if I had missedA decent game, this - it looks lovely, in my opinion, and the combat is quite challenging - but the map design and the stage design is very odd - everything just looks the same within one region, and since everything is so "open" more or less, it's hard to distinguish one place from another (so I spent a lot of time just wandering around places I've already been to see if I had missed something). Ultimately, I came to a point where I just felt a bit bored with the game - it just never truly engaged me. I'm sure a lot of people will enoy it though. Expand

Morbid tells a mediocre story, but offers a great Lovecraftian atmosphere. The most important thing though is the game’s soulslike combat system, which is pleasant and takes the protagonist’s mental health into account alongside his stamina and HP. Don’t fear the “soulslike” label, because Morbid is not as frustrating as most games of that genre. [02/2021, p.51]

Morbid: The Seven Acolytes is an enjoyable adventure if you’re after a steep challenge, but the lack of certain elements limits the amount of options you have.
