I have just finished the game and it is just great! awesome level and monsters design. Boss fights are challenging especially at the beginning. I like stamina-based combat in that game, there is quick and strong attack, dodge roll, run, riposte, everything that is needed for souls-borne fans. Game not very long and it is also good point. It is awesome work at Switch no drawbacks found.I have just finished the game and it is just great! awesome level and monsters design. Boss fights are challenging especially at the beginning. I think it is a nice and beautiful game but no more than that. As a Dark souls veteran, it wasn't really hard. The games gives you too much resources to make bosses easy. I was able to beat many of the main bosses and final boss first try. The parry damage is broken. I finished the game in 5 hours only and i see no replayability. It is lacking personality and not memorable.

Its not bad game but somehow its little bit shallow and empty in terms of content and mechanics, imho. I give it 8 cuz its reminds me Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain and somehow its managed to brought me back to my childhood times.

Phenomenal game through n through! I bought this game initially on my switch lite. I loved it so much I got it for my Xbox one and I can’t get enough of it! It’s an incredibly challenging, isometric souls like aRPG...the progression system is based on skill points you acquire by killing enemies n completing objectives. You hack n slash your way through the levels trying to find alters, which act as checkpoints. Here you can “meditate” which essentially refills your health/ammo etc. There are tons of weapons, everything from swords n axes to rifles n greathammers. You can find power ups such as healing/buffs scattered throughout the world and also runes, which provide amazing buffs to weapons when they’re slotted into them. The lore and story are DEEEEP!! I like how they placed all the lore and storytelling into a section you can access at the various alters between play times. It’s an intense grind of a game but so amazingly dark n atmospheric thanks to the sound n visuals!
I gave it 8/10 on Xbox one and 9/10 on switch strictly because of the handheld ability. If you’re a hardcore gamer n enjoy dark stories n atmospheres AND pixel art, this game is outstanding!
I have the switch version 9 because I only own a switch lite and I’m telling ya, this game, played in handheld mode really brings back memories of old school gameboy type enjoyment!

A decent game, this - it looks lovely, in my opinion, and the combat is quite challenging - but the map design and the stage design is very odd - everything just looks the same within one region, and since everything is so "open" more or less, it's hard to distinguish one place from another (so I spent a lot of time just wandering around places I've already been to see if I had missedA decent game, this - it looks lovely, in my opinion, and the combat is quite challenging - but the map design and the stage design is very odd - everything just looks the same within one region, and since everything is so "open" more or less, it's hard to distinguish one place from another (so I spent a lot of time just wandering around places I've already been to see if I had missed something). Ultimately, I came to a point where I just felt a bit bored with the game - it just never truly engaged me. I'm sure a lot of people will enoy it though. Expand

Morbid tells a mediocre story, but offers a great Lovecraftian atmosphere. The most important thing though is the game’s soulslike combat system, which is pleasant and takes the protagonist’s mental health into account alongside his stamina and HP. Don’t fear the “soulslike” label, because Morbid is not as frustrating as most games of that genre. [02/2021, p.51]

Morbid: The Seven Acolytes is an enjoyable adventure if you’re after a steep challenge, but the lack of certain elements limits the amount of options you have.
