Monster Energy Supercross 3 is a game that can go unnoticed on Nintendo Switch. However, we must highlight its gameplay. Although it does not innovate too much, it offers a perfect opportunity to enjoy this simulation genre.

Monster Energy Supercross - The Official Videogame 3 does indeed capture the sport down to a tee, and has incredibly flexible, and deep customisation tools, that are able to thrust a player into the AMA Supercross universe. Its unforgiving difficulty and steep price point is probably the stumbling block to making this a renowned and accessible racer, but at the same time the purists who love a good challenge will absolutely adore the subtle tweaks that can be made to player setups. Anyone who adores the sport will love this, but those hoping for a leisurely, easy racer to play through, will be sorely surprised.

If you’ve played the previous instalments and the series and you appreciate updated rider rosters, the introduction of female riders and the improved physics (for those that play on more realistic settings) then Monster Energy Supercross - The Official Videogame 3 will definitely appeal, but with a completely absent online community, this port is a tougher sell over those on PC and other console platforms. Still, despite its shortcomings, this is a solid two-wheeled racer that retains all the usual modes and extras and runs like a treat in handheld mode. Just don't expect it to feel massively different from the previous instalment.

All in all, this version of motocross is pretty unfair to anyone who hasn’t played an entry before, doesn’t want to spend tons of time with it, or who isn’t already keenly familiar with the process of racing these types of machines. Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Videogame 3 offers an experience that is properly tailored for those fans who will more than likely make this purchase, but for anyone taking a passing glance, there is a barrier to entry that will take some determination to overcome.

Monster Energy Supercross 3 is a decent port on Nintendo Switch, but still suffers from some handling and AI issues.

I loved the previous ones before that were great but i think they took a step foward with this port. It really looks and sounds great some of the best in fact for dirtbike games. But as always it takes time to get the controls to your standerds....gotta try some tweaking. Good job Nintendo. Full Review »

I’ll find some kid at the track with a switch and just give it to them if they don’t already have it. It’s not worth any money to me and I won’t miss it. The positives: Great graphics, lots of tracks to pick from, and a lot of rider/bike options. I don’t have it for my other consoles but I’m not even going to try and get it for them. Based on what I’ve read regarding #4, I won’t be getting it. Full Review »

I was afraid it would be bad on Switch because of some downgrades but I was actually amazed on how well it runs and looks.

The graphics are great and the FPS is very solid. The amount of content is the same as on PC which surprised me!

All in all it's one of the best ports I have seen on the Switch. Well done Milestone!
