    Love this game! The music is great, the themes are super memorable, and I love the rhythm heaven vibe that I get from it. Would recommend for anyone who loves rhythm games.

    I love this game. Dreamy, surreal visuals (reminiscent of the Netflix series “Midnight Gospel”). The songs are bops. I love all of it! Th accessibility features are great too. So many games miss this out so I really appreciate that it’s there. Some of the levels are hard but I fully enjoyed the challenge - they’re not impossible to grasp.     Very Fun Game, the Artstyle is really nice. The Atmosphere is a really great combination of, Artstyle, Ost and Gameplay.

    A lovely, albeit short spiritual successor to Rhythm Heaven

    Melatonin is a collection of rhythm-based minigames reminiscent of the Rhythm Heaven franchise. You play through a total of 16 different games, which have you press or hold the right button at the right time. It sounds simplistic as is the norm for rhythm games, but as is the case for Rhythm Heaven, it is addictive fun with a    A lovely, albeit short spiritual successor to Rhythm Heaven

    Melatonin is a collection of rhythm-based minigames reminiscent of the Rhythm Heaven franchise. You play through a total of 16 different games, which have you press or hold the right button at the right time. It sounds simplistic as is the norm for rhythm games, but as is the case for Rhythm Heaven, it is addictive fun with a charming presentation. The structure is also heavily inspired by Rhythm Heaven as each chapter has you play 4 different games followed by a remix that mashes all games together to the music of a new song.

    Where the game departs from its inspiration is the presentation. It has overall a very relaxing vibe complete with pastel colours. While I do enjoy the consistent tone, it does seem samey at the same time.

    The game is also fairly short. As mentioned, there are only 16 distinct minigames and 5 remixes. However, each game has a hard mode, padding out what the game has to offer. And the game is fairly cheap, so the length seems appropriate.

    Overall, if you enjoy Rhythm Heaven and are waiting for a new one to come out, Melatonin will certainly keep you busy for a while.    … Expand

    Melatonin from Half Asleep was only released a few weeks ago, and it is already one of my favorite rhythm games on Nintendo Switch. Just like Gal Metal a few years ago, Melatonin excels in its simplicity while being quite challenging. This coupled with the gorgeous visuals and excellent music makes Melatonin an easy recommendation for fans of Rhythm Heaven and those looking for a challenging new music-focused game.
