Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 is the worst thing the series has to offer. Even if X8 is pretty good, X5, X6 and X7 are awful. Since this collection shares its bonuses with the first one, there’s no reason to buy it.

Playing Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 makes us wonder why Capcom split the Mega Man X series in two. With the same bonus as the first compilation, you are left with episodes X5 to X8, which carry the license with them into an abyss of torpor. Why would you get this second part? We do not know either.

I love experiencing the past but Mega Man X7 is a terrible, glitchy mess and Mega Man X8 is pretty mediocre in my opinion. Mega Man X5 and X6 are actually pretty great games. They have awesome tracks, level design, and I haven't encountered any bugs while playing them. The hub is great and I love the gallery. It's a great way to learn Mega Man history. The battle mode is really fun and I love fighting 2 bosses at once. Overall, this is an okay legacy collection, but only Mega Man X5 and X6 are truly worth playing. Have a lovely day/night, folks! The second installment into the Mega man x series, unfortunately not as good as part 1.
The game comes with a bunch of additional features such as the gallery and music (OST) which are really enjoyable for hardcore fans. Also a rookie hunter mode which really helps out people new to the series or assists you when getting through very difficult situations or bosses.
X5 - a fantastic game which kept in good tradition to X4, fair difficulty, only downside is that there is a lot of back tracking if you want to collect everything. 9.5/10
X6 - by far the most difficult and broken of the X games. Level design is lazy at times requiring certain items to progress and boss battles that I couldn't beat without using rookie mode. 5/10
X7 - a very poor attempt to change into 3D, game feels rushed in so many aspects from level design to voice overs. Could be the worst in the series. 4/10
X8 - a redemption from the previous 2 games, with better platforming and boss battles. Much more playable and the voice acting and story were done quite well 8/10
Overall you could skip out on X6 and X7 and you wouldn't miss out on much, also avoid the frustration they bring. 7/10
