I got this collection on an eShop sale, but before I got it, I checked this website's reviews and many people seemed to like the game, the collection was very expensive and it was a good thing I got it during the eShop Sale, the game's SNES titles has a save feature, so you won't have to write down Passwords in order to resume where you left off, X1 is a classic title, X2 maintained theI got this collection on an eShop sale, but before I got it, I checked this website's reviews and many people seemed to like the game, the collection was very expensive and it was a good thing I got it during the eShop Sale, the game's SNES titles has a save feature, so you won't have to write down Passwords in order to resume where you left off, X1 is a classic title, X2 maintained the fun in the franchise but was a step down from X1, as for X3 unless you're a completionist you can skip that one because of the difficulty balancing, X4 was amazing, and it is still a PS1 Treasure to this day, so 3 of the 4 games on the 1st Disk are worth playing, as for the 2nd Disk, even though X5 was pretty good, I didn't like it, X6 on the other hand is a bad game that is still fun if you enter a cheat code on the main menu, even though the load times of X7 were shorter and it was easier to play, it still didn't help that X7 was a terrible game and it is not fun, but the real reason I got this collection was to play X8 since I never played the game before I got the Legacy Collection, and X8 was awesome, and I love it, as for the X Challenges...Unless you want a real challenge and you're an Achievement Hunter, you should just stick to the 8 games in the collection, so yeah it was worth the money and the sale. It's Megaman X, but on switch. A must have for any fan of Megaman or classic platformers, and the option of rookie mode makes the game a breeze for the new players or those strapped for time. You can even switch between the american and Japanese versions of each title. Only downsides were the fact that they split it into two overpriced purchases, and that they didn't include the Zero or ZX series, though those may get their own collection down the road. Overall a good purchase, if a little pricey. Expand

The Mega Man X Legacy Collection is exactly what you expect it to be, upgraded ports of the classic Mega Man X titles.

This in itself is a mixed bag, because you have some absolutely amazing games mixed with some mediocre titles. Other reviewers may complain about the lack of save states, but to them I'd say, "You realize this is Mega Man, don't you?' Mega Man, as a whole has always

Mega Man, as a whole has always expected more of you (for the most part). You are expected to learn the games mechanics through trial and error and implied guidance. For a more in depth explanation on the latter, check out EgoRaptor's Sequelitis on Mega Man X on YouTube.

The awesome SNES era art style of the early X games really pops when playing on the Switch. It translates very well from a traditional console game to hand held.

TL:DR this game is fantastic, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to scratch the X itch that other Mega Man games can't seem to reach.

Honestly a lot of bang for ur buck. These are good ports and fun games to boot. I really appreciate the extra settings and galleries too, got nostalgic. One negative is the ugly filter to remove pixel art shouldn’t be the default setting...

Another solid Mega Man anthology from Capcom, with lots of extra content to supplement the flawless presentation of the X sub-series. There's plenty of challenge for those who want it, as well as a few options to make things easier for newcomers. The first four games (Collection 1) are far superior to the last four (Collection 2), but it's worth having both volumes so you can judge for yourself.

These are mostly unchanged Mega Man X games, but if you haven’t played them yet, you owe it to yourself to catch up on these gems – and Legacy Collection is the best occasion you can get. [10/2018, p.78]

Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1+2 is a stunning achievement by Capcom that should be a compulsory buy for platformer and retro gaming enthusiasts alike. Its presentation is as good as it gets, with its bevy of extras and historical content acting as icing on an already succulent cake. There are some blemishes in the emulation of the SNES X games, and the second half of the series doesn’t live up to the quality of the first, but as a whole these compilations represent some of the greatest run and gun shooters to ever grace a gaming console— which seems to be par for the course for the Blue Bomber!

This is a great set of 8 mostly classic Mega Man games and will certainly help get you reacquainted with the Blue Bomber leading up to his more retro return in Mega Man 11. The series started to tale off with the PS2 titles (horrible voice acting mixed with some questionable 2.5D designs), but I would love to see a resurgence in the X series like we did with the OG Mega Man series, just please do it in the 16 bit SNES style.
