Mar 26, 2026Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is a near-complete collection of the Nintendo DS’ Mega Man titles. Featuring welcome quality of life benefits, new-and-improved (for the most part) audio/visuals, along with online play, it’s a must-have for a Mega Man fan wanting to replay some of the best titles in the series’ history.

Mar 25, 2026Without a doubt, Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is one of the biggest highlights of 2026. I could go on and on about just how much fun I've had replaying the games, and I'm still reeling from the fact that we finally have these games on a modern platform.

Mar 25, 2026The Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is a bundle of delightful RPGs, with combat that feels fresh and fun even by modern standards.

Mar 25, 2026Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection continues Capcom’s unbroken streak of excellent Mega Man remasters, presenting these DS classics in the best possible light and providing a compelling package. Not only do the included games each offer an enjoyable virus-busting RPG adventure, but new quality-of-life features, an addictive online battle mode, and smooth presentation all come together to make for a must-have experience for curious Rockman fans. Despite some design missteps in the earlier games, this collection shows that this trilogy stands strongly alongside other Mega Man sub-series, and I’d suggest you pick it up if you’re at all interested in Mega Man’s forays into the RPG genre.

Mar 25, 2026Capcom nailed it with the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection in every aspect. Presentation-wise, it is the best compilation featuring the Blue Bomber they've ever released, adding plenty of quality-of-life changes that I'd love to see them retroactively implement in previous titles. In terms of gameplay, while Battle Network still outshines the Star Force spin-offs in many ways, each game continuously builds upon the previous one to much success (for the most part), making the highly underrated journey of Geo Stelar from a secluded, directionless kid dealing with grief and loneliness into a fully-fledged anime protagonist that would die for his friends a blast to rediscover.
-
Mar 25, 2026The Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is quite literally the definition of “more than the sum of its parts.” Playing the trilogy back-to-back puts Geo Stelar’s coming-of-age arc into a heartwarming perspective that left me emotional at the end. The way you get to watch the gameplay gradually evolve with new ideas and additions feels natural, even if the middle chapter is still the weakest of the bunch, and quality-of-life improvements and restored content help make the package feel modern and complete. Despite some story lulls and a few online feature omissions, this is the best way to play as the most underrated version of the Blue Bomber.

Mar 26, 2026All in all this feels like a pretty hard sell for newcomers, at least outside of people who are seeking out more novel game ideas that have a style distinctively their own. That said, I also have no doubt that people who grew up playing these games could absolutely enjoy taking them for a nostalgic spin as I can’t say I’ve encountered any other titles quite like them in the vast Switch library.
