60$ for 6 gba roms. Enough Said. The "NEW" stuff aren't even interesting. A Mega Man vtuber skin that repeats the same lines over and over again. A PvP system that makes it near impossible to find a player, and when you find one you're probably gonna get curve stomped since they probably 100% the game! Why couldn't you just pick a set that is balanced instead of using the in game set. It's60$ for 6 gba roms. Enough Said. The "NEW" stuff aren't even interesting. Why is there no MMBN 4.5 or Double Team, isn't this the "ultimate collection". What's with the ugly ass font they used?
At least the games are still good

Tldr. Not worth 60$, wait for a sale or price drop. PvP is only good if you have a viable deck.

I LOVE Mega Man Battle Network but for 60$, this ain’t it man….

I can excuse the previous Mega Man collections since they are really cheap, even though they have some horrible emulation problems. This collection is really dumb as it’s split into two, I thought after the Zero/ZX collection they stopped doing that but no. The Mega Man Vtuber thing is cute at first, but when he

The Mega Man Vtuber thing is cute at first, but when he starts saying the same boring lines over and over, it really gets annoying. Thank god you can shut him up.

The main selling point: PvP system kinda underwhelming, you have to use your own deck from in game which means that you’ll most likely get destroyed unless you grind for better chips.
It’s also super hard to find another player, and when you do there’s a huge chance for it to be laggy.

The games emulation is fine (excluding some weird localization bugs in BN6), but the lack of opinions really breaks it for me.

    - No speed up which makes random encounters still annoying.
    - Ugly font which you can’t remove.
    - No BN5 Double Team
    - They didn’t fix BN4 localization.
    - No wide screen filter (although i never use it), which has been in every Legacy Collection.
    - Wish they added missing games like Network Transmission

You might say I’m asking for too much but I paid 60$ for this, i was at least expecting a better version of over 20 year old games i can easily emulate.

It’s very saddening to see a great series Battle Network get reduced to this.

I hope CAPCOM makes more Mega Man games instead of these poor collections

This collection is well presented and will please anyone who was dying to replay or experience the series for the first time. Megaman Battle Network Collection 1&2 are excellent packages with ample extras to keep players invested and just enough gameplay tweaking to smooth out any issues in these older titles. It's definitely not for everyone but as a Megaman fan, it is greatly recommended for its unique gameplay and style.

Despite my issues with them, I still adore these games. The chip tactics scratch my deckbuilding itch, but it’s not so tactical that it requires mental gymnastics to succeed. The story is charming in a saturday morning cartoon sort of way, and I appreciate the ability to access these games again on a modern platform. Capcom missed a few tricks by not adding a few quality-of-life and accessibility settings to make the games less grindy, but the series still holds a special place in my heart.

As far as retro compilations go, Legacy Collection is a fine addition to Capcom’s robust Mega Man offerings. With ten games to play through, all available additional content unlocked for them, and extras like online play available, there’s enough here to keep players busy for many, many hours. While it has been a while since the Battle Network series was wrapped up, these games remain fresh and innovative all these years later thanks to the unique battle system at its core. We strongly recommend Legacy Collection and hope that you’ll add it to your collection on Switch.
