I loved it, a game to calm down and spend a few good days exploring the island, I recommend it!

Lil Gator Game is a game about the whimsy of childhood and how keeping those feelings of wonder into adulthood is important. The game is cute, fun, and knows exactly what it wants to be and exactly what it is paying homage to in it's gameplay. I followed this game for over a year leading up to it's release, following it only because it looked cute. I knew it was not a game that was trying to be groundbreaking, but not every game has to be. This game was a fun time with a heartwarming story.

Best indie game I’ve ever played. This game deserves all the praise it gets and the writing is fantastic. Even though it’s short which is the only problem I have with it, it’s still sooo good.

A short, but endlessly charming, funny, and in the end, very bittersweet game. Just like the childhood afternoons that inspired it, LGG only lasts a few hours, but they’re hours that will stick with you. It’s a game for any aspiring artists or creative types who’ve lost the passion and love for that art.

"Lil Gator Game may be as little as its name suggests, but it’s also a touching tale about two siblings that just don’t play with each other anymore. Its open nature is great for exploration, even if it’s a little too bit too unguided at times, but it makes for a very sweet cozy game to sit down with for a lil while."

This game is very simple and does not have that much depth to it, but even with that, it manages to be a fun experience with likable characters. I think the relationship between the main character and their sister is done great and I wish there were more games that were able to treat themselves lightly.

Both my son (4 years) and wife (30) loved the game as much as I did, and that's not something I can say about any other game. That but itself says a lot about this apparently simple game. I can't give it a 10 because the music is VERY repetitive, but I also understand its hard for a small team.

Lil Gator Game invites the player with its charming presentation and a no-stress and accessible gameplay approach to an adventure game, only to leave its marking with marvelous writing and delightful storytelling that deliver a touching and unforgettable homage to the powers of childhood imagination and friendship. Truly an indispensable gem in the Nintendo Switch catalogue, and a game with a soul that can bond with anyone.

This game is primarily geared to a younger audience, but even still if this type of relaxed experience suits you, I hope you accept the invitation to relive your childhood. And to parents introducing their kids to The Legend of Zelda, putting Lil Gator Game on ahead of Breath of the Wild might be a magical thing to see.
