Lack of Balancing involved, and the campaign missions are waaaay too unfair and over powered, which makes it no fun. Also the fact that you have to use touch screen to even play is an annoyance.

The card game its self is flawed it's boring and slow to play unless you buy a lot of cards or get lucky with the free pulls you get. I made it all the way to the last boss of the first world and was actually liking it up until then I was able to look past the slow game play and just play with the cards I had. The last boss is 100 times harder and suddenly felt like I had to buy more cardThe card game its self is flawed it's boring and slow to play unless you buy a lot of cards or get lucky with the free pulls you get. I made it all the way to the last boss of the first world and was actually liking it up until then I was able to look past the slow game play and just play with the cards I had. The last boss is 100 times harder and suddenly felt like I had to buy more card and build a better deck just to stand a chance. Up to this point the most I was able to do in one turn was play 2 cards or skip my turn to draw 2 cards but this guys cards don't follow the same rules that was just taught to you these cards reset so they can stay on the field until you get rid of them not only that he has cards that let's him play more cards. This boss feels more like a final boss to the game not the first boss of the game. Online maybe better I tend to not play online until I beat what ever story there is so O can actually compete a little but this went from 0 to 1000 in like an hour of play time. Expand

Despite a limiting always-online requirement and a current lack of support for docked/tabletop play, Lightseekers rescues itself from by disaster thanks largely to the robust nature of its card system, the support for scanning in physical cards and the sheer depth of tactics available to different skill levels. Thankfully, it's also free-to-play and the the ability to earn digital cards at a steady pace via in-game challenges will keep players coming back for more each day. It’s great to finally have a proper CCG on Switch – even if it's not properly optimised for Nintendo’s hybrid console quite yet.

The designers don't seem to have understood how strategy works with card games, and, unfortunately, that's really what differentiates a good TCG from a very poor one.
