If you're a fan of LEGO or Marvel and missed Lego Marvel Super Heroes so far, now is the perfect time to rectify that.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes has plenty to offer to Lego and Marvel fans alike. A brisk but well-paced story takes you on an enjoyable ride while constantly introducing new characters and locations. Fantastic vocal performances and comedic writing make great use of the Marvel characters from both the movies and the comic books, and it’s topped off by an entertaining open world to let players mess around with characters to their heart's content. Some small graphical and control issues remind you that this isn’t a modern title, but that said, once you’re flying around Manhattan as Iron Man, these flaws are soon forgotten.

If you're waiting for the Lego Star Wars: Skywalker Saga to finally come out to satisfy your Lego game fix, Lego Marvel Superheroes will help tide you over. It is unfortunate it's taken so long to come out on the Switch. It's one of the more enjoyable Lego games over the last eight years.

With split-screen co-op, and incredibly gentle expectations as far as the gameplay is concerned, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is a fantastic, low-stakes game for parents and kids to play together, but also for adults who are looking for something that pleasantly whiles away the hours without beating you over the head with difficulty. Excelsior!

Essentially if you like the LEGO series of games then you know what you are in for here and it’s an easy choice to buy if that’s what you like. I’m getting to the point where the core mechanic is feeling a bit tired (and I hate falling off ledges… is it not possible to put a bit of code in to stop you falling off the edges of things?)… but, multiplayer with my son was quite fun… so even if you aren’t a huge fan of the series, if you have young ones who might want to have some gaming sessions with you… this is a good option.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is an enjoyable mash-up of every single Marvel character you can think of in a unique LEGO environment. It’s not my favorite LEGO game, however the sheer amount of Marvel characters makes it fun for any fan. Keep in mind this is an eight-year-old game, so maybe watch for a sale on this one.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes is a classic entry in the long-running licensed Lego game franchise that provides solid fun with a friend. With that being said, many of its successors have since surpassed its level of quality so it feels a bit dated in comparison.

A broken, unplayable mess of a game. Good luck getting through "Taking Liberties" without wanting to smash your controller. Between the sideA broken, unplayable mess of a game. Good luck getting through "Taking Liberties" without wanting to smash your controller. Between the side quests and the controller disconnecting at random, the game quickly and ultimately becomes more frustrating than fun. Do not buy this game unless you enjoy rage gaming. Full Review »

I actually prefer Lego Marvel Super Heroes 1 to Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2. They're both good games, but I like playing as the X-Men, Punisher, etc.
