Oct 26, 2022LEGO Bricktales takes the simple building blocks we know and love and wraps them within a cute puzzle environment. The satisfying builds and relaxing setting result in a journey into every kid’s dream: living in a world made of LEGO.

Oct 11, 2022Lego Bricktales is a wonderful adventure that's full of the charms of playing with the iconic construction toy in real life. It's a gorgeous digital rendition with all its exquisitely crafted dioramas a delight to behold, and with puzzles that lean on Lego's greatest strengths. Just beware that the Switch version is hampered by intrusive performance issues in places.

Oct 12, 2022A wonderful game visually and creatively of the kind that is not usually made. Especially tempting for fans of the Danish toy. While it is true that sometimes the performance suffers or could improve some aspects, LEGO Bricktales is a pleasant experience for everyone.

Oct 11, 2022Bricktales does a good job adapting the creative construction of LEGO to a video game, but struggles with its questionable pacing.

Oct 18, 2022If you like bridge construction games or are a big fan of LEGO bricks, you’ll likely find enough to love in LEGO Bricktales to overcome its performance and gameplay issues. I would gladly trade some of the beautiful visual flair for a smoother framerate, so I hope the improvements the developers are working on bear fruit. I’m not sure what can be done about the controls, so you may just have to put up with them if you’re dedicated to playing the game on a console. A great idea, a passable execution, and overall an okay game that at least has something different to say about the venerated toy brand.

Oct 17, 2022LEGO Bricktales is a fun puzzle game and a relaxing experience that follows a different direction of the LEGO world. While there is a (minimal) plot here, the core of the experience is based on building, and that's where the game stands out the most. Fun and engaging challenges and a welcoming gameplay for beginners, that's what LEGO Bricktales is about.
-
Oct 12, 2022This is a game anyone with an understanding of the toy can pick up and enjoy. While a more mature single player will probably not stick around too long, this is one that families will definitely appreciate on whatever platform they choose to play.
-
Nov 1, 2022LEGO Bricktales attempts to capture the excitement that accompanies building LEGO and certainly comes close, however, the experience is unfortunately marred by poor controls and unremarkable puzzles.
-
Oct 11, 2022Lego Bricktales isn’t perfect, but it offers up a refreshingly unique experience relative to the litany of action platformers based on licensed IP we’ve been getting for nearly two decades now. We sincerely appreciated the focus on low-stress building puzzles that encourage and reward creative solutions. It's the kind of game that you just take at your own pace and lose yourself for a bit to the relaxing tunes and simple act of building. It's a shame, then, that awkward controls hamper your creativity and hold it back from greatness. Couple that with performance issues on Switch, and we'd recommend playing on PC if you can. Still, Bricktales is the closest thing in years that a Lego video game has gotten to the actual feeling of playing with Lego, and those of you who appreciate the famous toy will find something to love here.
-
Oct 12, 2022It’s not quite there yet thanks to the challenging controls, but if you can overlook that, there’s fun to be had here.
-
Jun 14, 2023A nice-looking little game, and the idea of solving puzzles by building things out of LEGO bricks is great. However, LEGO Bricktales simply lacks in story and almost everything else that could have made it a more interesting product. Here's to hoping that the idea gets revisited and improved in the future.

Oct 29, 2022It would have been great but the placing of objects is so clumsy and annoying. You can also use your fingers on the screen but same problem.
