Mar 29, 2024Lawn Mowing Simulator lives up to its name of capturing every aspect of running a lawn mowing business, down to the mind-numbing nature of massive rectangular properties and complex backyards with gardens. If you can look past some of the game's faults and the abysmal graphics, you're in for a nice chill sim game.

Mar 18, 2024If you can get by the minor annoyances and want to hop on a game for a quick session before doing something like mowing your real lawn, Lawn Mowing Simulator is perfect for you. Its wide variety of implements, contracts, landscapes, and gameplay modes will keep business sim fans engaged well past the mowing season.

Apr 16, 2024A fun, relaxing game that lacks a lot of polish due to hardware restrictions on the Switch. The PS5 and PC versions do a fantastic job!

Apr 11, 2024To punctuate what Lawn Mowing Simulator does well, I will use the slogan from British garden care and paint company Ronseal, “it does exactly what it says on the tin.” If you want to mow other people’s lawns without the hassle of getting on all your gardening gear and performing manual labour, then this is for you. You may not look at your virtual lawns the same way as your dad looks at his backyard after a job well done, but it may just be the sleeper hit that the Nintendo Switch may need in a desolate 2024.

Apr 16, 2024Overall, I’d say Lawn Mowing Simulator is a serviceable simulation of what it is like to mow lawns. While this is not my kind of game, I can see why others would value it and become addicted to it with its wealth of game modes. However, the menus are clunky, DLC is offered as soon as you start the game, and the graphics are poor, despite doing their job. Any game’s value comes down to its gameplay elements and unlike the great titles out there, the core gameplay elements of Lawn Mowing Simulator are not satisfying, or addictive enough to make this game worth my time. As far as simulation games go, Lawn Mowing Simulator is an average title and should be avoided unless you are passionate about mowing lawns.
