Irony Curtain: From Matryoshka with Love is a beautifully executed point-and-click experience that combines a gripping narrative, humourous characters and rich scenes to create an unforgettable espionage adventure. Fans of the point-and-click classics won’t want to miss this one out.

Artifex Mundi created a fun, brisk, and engaging point-and-click. They leveraged the right balance of humor and storytelling, characters and circumstances. While clearly a throwback, they put enough of their own spin on the various formulas they leveraged to make something that feels familiar but still unique. For fans of point-and-click games, Irony Curtain is a sure thing. For people inexperienced with the genre it’s a friendly starting point.

Irony Curtain: From Matryoshka with Love is a great little indie game. I really enjoyed my time with it despite its kicking my butt at times with the puzzles. I loved the art style and the humor laced throughout the adventure. Some of the mini-games have technical problems, and a few of the later cutscenes have major frame rate issues. These do tarnish the experience a little. Fortunately, the rest of the game is such a joy that they are easy to forgive. If you are a fan of the genre, then this is something you should check out.

Irony Curtain: From Matryoshka with Love is a point and click adventure that does not overthrow the system but which fulfills most of its production quotas – with its gorgeous artwork and visual environment, absurd and satirical plot and attention to detail, it will get players going around to catch every piece of communist propaganda that Matryoshka produces. Sometimes for a bit too long, as it's easy to slip on something important for the plot development.

Irony Curtain: From Matryoshka With Love is a good point and click adventure game with sense of humour and some challenging puzzles. The Switch version does have some technical issues and there's a little bugginess, but Irony Curtain is a fun little send-up of spy thrillers.

Overall, it’s another point in click game, with unique puzzles. It lacks anything too special, though, making it hard to recommend for those non-enthusiastic about the genre. If you are a puzzle game fan, and can’t seem to find another alternative, this one is definitely worth a look. That being said, if you aren’t a puzzle game fan, or already have your fill of puzzling action, this game is not for you.

Irony Curtain: From Matryoshka with Love is a point-and-click adventure taking place during the Cold War, that happens to be a light satire of the "Reds." That's not a bad premise, and Artifex Mundi's creation is far from a bad experience - but it's far from entertaining either. Most of the comedy is heavy-handed, the satirical aspect is very hit and miss, and the puzzle-solving can often feel like an array of chores. Lower your expectations upon entering - as if paying a visit to Matryoshka itself.

Irony Curtain is a competent successor to the point-and-click adventure games of yore, provided you can bear its finicky gameplay and tepid satire.

I didn't mind this game, if you like your Monkey Island, Sam & Max and similar games then this may be the game for you, upon reviewing this II didn't mind this game, if you like your Monkey Island, Sam & Max and similar games then this may be the game for you, upon reviewing this I picked this up on sale for £1.95 and at that it was money well spent.
It has a quirky story, a few puzzles to solve, not the hardest but even still at times it made you think but passed the time away on a night just before going to bed, a nice little point and click entry for the Switch for a good price.
