    The art style is okay, but it's completely out of character for a horror game. It doesn't create any sense of suspense. The combat is clunky, the story never becomes engaging, and the Switch optimization is poor. It's a very monotonous and boring world.

    While the design is cool and the gameplay enjoyable enough, I Hate This Place is nearly unplayable on my Nintendo Switch, making it impossible to recommend to players on this console, especially at a price tag of $30.
