    A solid, portable way to experience Hitman Absolution. It has a few flaws, but the motion controls, fair price, and upcoming Contracts Mode make the Switch port worth playing.

    Overall Hitman Absolution is a solid addition to the Nintendo Switch library and whilst it may not be for all the die hard Hitman fans there is enough there for portable fans to enjoy. With the announcement as said above Switch 2 owners may want to holdout on purchasing until the free update comes out next year.

    Hitman: Absolution is another port of prime technical from Feral Interactive, which could offer a little more in terms of performance options. Even so, this version of Switch is highly recommended, even for those who play only on handheld mode.

    Hitman: Absolution represents the series’ awkward, stumbling growth period. Play it you want to see where some of the ideas in the World of Assassination trilogy got their start, but don’t expect the game to reach anywhere near the same heights.

    Playing Hitman: Absolution on Switch is a great way to replay it or give it a second chance. The gyro aiming improves the playability dramatically and may get veteran naysayers to accept the game on its own terms. It's a flawed and sometimes dumb experience with situations that make no sense, but still manages to be one of the better third-person action-adventure games, and a lot of it has to do with the gritty signature Hitman ambiance, presentation, and 47's impossibly cool dialogue and wit. He's a fun character, and getting any chance to be him is worth a few instances of sloppy design.

    Performance is exactly what I imagined it would be. You’re looking at 30fps with a few minor hitches here and there, particularly in dense crowds. Textures and assets have also been scaled back considerably, but it’s still a handsome game regardless, and the accompanying music is consistently great.
