Nov 27, 2019What an awesome game to find on the switch. The amazing thing is 8-bit style games are usually more fun that the newer overpriced games and give you a feel of nostalgia when playing. This game is fun and addictive and I am looking forward to sequel! Changing the character as you play is a brilliant concept and makes the puzzles more fun as it adds another element of complexity

Nov 30, 2019This game is awesome. From the killer art, down to the up-beat tunes. I enjoyed this game so much, I actually went and purchased a physical copy on the Retrotainment website to plan in my old NES.

Jan 28, 2020Awesome to see a new NES game on the Switch, and not just more recycled e-Shop games we all already have! About time we had some new classics. The game plays great with a lot of moves and abilities, and the controls are spot on. Graphics and sound are superb, and Haunted really shines with its narrative. Hopefully we'll be seeing another sequel soon?

Jan 6, 2020Haunted: Halloween ’86 maintains the essences of its predecessor while generally improving all aspects of it. It succeeds in reminding us that video games were still great even with simpler and more limited hardware, but those limitations remind us how far the medium has advanced. The appeal of this title is pretty much going to be limited to the niche market of retro gamers but after spending some time in Possum Hollow I wouldn’t object to there being a Halloween ’87 in the future.

Dec 11, 2019Ultimately, HAUNTED: Halloween ‘86 (The Curse Of Possum Hollow) doesn’t necessarily bring anything revolutionary to the genre, but it really doesn’t need to. The game feels like a game I played years ago, and that’s what makes it so much fun.

Nov 20, 2019It may be rough around its 8-bit edges but Haunted: Halloween '86 can be quite enjoyable after you get used to its shortcomings.
